Most of the time the menus work fine and the NP screen displays all the right things (buffers ok, then artwork for that show/station, info) but there is just no audio. They work OK for connected to an SBS server. On Mysb.com - I get no My Apps menu item (Touch may need a reboot/reset) but the shortcut to BBC on home menu plays various stations OK. Previously starting ipeng would wake up my Squeezebox server machine if the server was sleeping. With the new version it doesn't. I have "Wake-On_Lan" set to ON in the server settings in ipeng. [SlimDevices: Plugins] suggestion: video camera monitor plugin
I just noticed how useful it would be to me to have the ability to use a squeezebox radio as a screen for the 'baby cam'... seems like it shouldn't be totally impossible to display audio/video on touch/radio/remote via a plugin that just streams from a webcam. Just throwing out an idea... I'd want to be able to support a wireless IR webcam - seems there are more than a few under $75 that might work. I'd want to be able to select multiple IR webcams to view in 'extras' and I'd want to be able to configure a screensaver to play one of the webcams as needed. I'd even be willing to consider a server-based solution or integration with something like ZoneMinder. [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC App - not working on 7.6
The BBC app is not working for me, just updated to r9028 (running tinysc) and still no love. Sometimes selecting something does nothing at all. Sometimes i get to the NP screen where it buffers and appears to be playing but there is no audio. Same connected to tinysc or mysb.com. Trying WMA did not help. Thanks for this plugin, this was what I waited for, so today I finally decided to go for Spotify Premium. I now can enjoy the music via the Squeezebox at home, and (offline) on my iPod using the Spotify App! Great, great, great! Strange idea that the future will probably be mainly streaming music. Not buying CD's or downloading (well, a lot less anyway). BTW - it took me some time to figure out that I had to tweak the Windows Firewall to let spotifyd.exe connect on port 9001. Thanks again for all the work you have put in this! I'm willing to donate a few buck when the Beta goes to final! IIRC Windows prevents access to CD/DVD drives if SBS is run as a service. So in order to determine if this the cause of your problem you need to know how your SBS is configured to start. So please check as follows 1. Open Squeezebox server control panel 2. Select Status tab 3. Depending on what you are doing, and what your SBS settings are, SBS will sometimes play a song, or play all songs on an album. There is an option in the Player settings called "Play Other Songs In Album" to either play a single song, or play all songs on album. I think that if you touch a track, it plays it (and if the setting is enabled to play all tracks on an album, the whole album is played, but starts playback from the track you touched). However, if you long-touch the track, the context-menu play action will play just the song. The Add action always adds only the thing you selected. Not sure about the embedded SBS within Touch; I don't think you can configure this option. You might like to try my Playlist Manager plugin (available for full SBS). You should be able to install it in Settings > Plugins; it's a recommended third-party plugin. This allows you to add a song or album easily to any arbitrary playlist (not just the current playlist). This can be done from the current playlist or when browsing anywhere in the music library.
