What's the exact file name as you've saved it on the FreeNAS share? Internet
Explorer tends to break the file extensions. Make sure it's a .tgz file.

OK, I just stick with the SBS sync method in muso then and wait for SBS
7.6 with enhanced scanning.

Thanks for the new version of muso. It picked up several changes in the
SBS database that were ignored before.

Any progress on the automatic re-sync with SBS feature?

Notre Dame had a good game this week. The log error you had was
pointing to a problem parsing the NCAA football team name. So I tried
IA Indep with Notre Dame and it worked for me. Maybe it was just a

The debug suggests playlists are not loading fully from the spotify
servers. the plugin waits for a playlist to be "loaded" before it is
shown and this does not look to be occuring in your debug before the
plugin times out. It tries to recover from this by restarting the
helper app, but this does not seem to fix the problem. Lets see what
happens when spotify resolve the problem at their end.

I see where you're going with this and unfortunately I won't be of much
further help. I know nothing about writing plugins in perl but I would,
of course, make my code available to anyone looking to create a
server-side version for iTach.

You could just use a basic web-page of hyperlinks to control the iTach
outside of SBS very easily. If you set the logging level on SqueezeIR
to 'Debug' then you can see the ir codes in the Controller's log file
which can (almost) trivially be converted to iTach format.

I am thinking of providing an http interface for SqueezeIR which would
work from a static web-page outside of SBS and could proxy ir commands
to the iTach but that seems a rather convoluted route.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Can anyone help me use wavin2cmd.exe ?

2010-10-17 Thread bpa

Wavin2cmd works with most audio application - some application (e.g.
spotify) bypass or abuse the standard audio to prevent recording
applications working.

You should check whether MySpace is one such application - if you can
record the audio using the Recorder accessory then wavin2cmd will also
work. So test MySpace with Recorder.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Can anyone help me use wavin2cmd.exe ?

I want to play eg. MySpace streams in my browser on my SqueezeBox.
The WaveInput plugin doesn't seem to work for Windows anymore(?), but

Can I run the wavin2cmd.exe fil and direct the sound to a pipe, that I

I can't figure out what the commandline options for wavin2cmd.exe AND

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2010-10-17 Thread Steel

Just tried it. The export also has to be updated. Here are the updated
SQL-statements:

Export.pm:
line 210: "REPLACE INTO statistics
(url,createdate,accessdate,score,rating,playcount,deleted) SELECT
urls.id,?,?,?,?,?,0 FROM urls WHERE urls.rpath=?"

line 230: "UPDATE tracks LEFT JOIN urls ON urls.id=tracks.url SET
tracks.createdate=? WHERE urls.rpath=?"

I'm not sure about what the last update does. In amarok 2.3 there is no
tags table, but in the tracks table was a createdate column, so this
makes most sense for me.
I also don't try the multilibrary thing, but i think there are no
amarok specific statements, right?
At least one question: how can i access trackstat through the
command-line? Think this is much easier than updating the squeezebox
database out of amarok for dynamic updates.

Since iOS4 battery life on my G3S has considerably reduced. I've done
some diagnostics to try to find the culprit and compared to my friends
phones (none of which suffers from reduced battery life to the extent
mine does) but not got very far.

None of the other phones run iPeng.

Is it likely to be iPeng that has been causing my problem (I don't tend
to rigorously shut down the apps running in the background)?

My phone is not jailbroken and I don't know of any way of doing
definitive system diagnoses.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Napster Login problem

2010-10-17 Thread jmenzel

same problem here, since yesterday afternoon. Strangely, my playlists
that include Napster sourced songs are working (most of the time,
sometimes time out too), but I can't search or anything on Naspter.
Direct Napster access works fine.

I have to admit SBS is a bit better at tag reading than muso,
especially with some of the lossless formats. It really depends if your
tags are important to you. Personally for my own collection I don't
really care what's in the tags - since I do all the control from muso I
just edit the attributes there and I'm happy. I only very rarely browse
my squeezebox with the remote, that's the only time I would miss the
tags being accurate.

I need to run one beta round on it because I also migrated a number of
things from iPeng for iPad, e.g. the artwork loading.
Also, there's another issue I need to fix which is that if you start
the App when manually configured servers or MySB are not reachable you
have to re-start the App. Since it looks like a significant number of
users doesn't know how to restart an App under iOS4 this needs fixing.

hmm.. I have a QNAP server running on ARM x19, so I guess the same goes
for me.
Running a separate Squeeze server on my desktop now, just to get
spotify. Works like charm, Thank you !
..but of course, hope someday I can run even spotify from my NAS

Sorry - can't be done at present as it relies on a spotify library
which is only available for intel devices.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Napster Login problem

2010-10-17 Thread dgovan

For the last few days I have not been able to log in to Napster with the
message "There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Connect timed
out: Bad file descriptor)" coming up every time. I can log in to
Napster via their web site no problem.

Has something changed with Napster that Squeezebox is needing updated
for?

Thank you for this great plugin, as many people been waiting for such a
thing for a long time. Works great for me (as long as I pull down the
firewall).. Tried to install it on a synology nas device. Then I
noticed it only supports Intel based devices?

Any plans to support these devices? Need any help?
