Your memory is correct.

Here are the instructions from the Owner's Manual:

1. Set the input source, input mode, surround mode, room EQ settings
and volume to the conditions you want to store.

2. Press and hold the desired QUICK SELECT.
Keep pressing the button until the quick select indicator lights.

The Quick Select buttons are on the lower right side of the front panel
of the AVR.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2010-12-27 Thread pippin

Yes. No space left for more icons. If you swipe to the other side you
get to the current playlist.

The group feature is about synced players. If you have two or more
players in sync, "Power" and volume commands through the main controls
in iPeng will act on all of them (you can turn this off in the
settings).
The special thing about volume is that it's not an absolute volume but
changes the volume relatively on each player depending on the current
volume level. This is important if you have two players (e.g. a Boom
and a Touch) which you want to use different absolute volumes (e.g. 50%
on the Boom and 75% on the Touch). Now if you turn the volume down, the
Boom will end up at e.g. 25% and the Touch at 40%. would have to look
up the exact values in the algorithm but it's such that if they sounded
similar before the change they should be similar after the volume
change, too.

You can still tweak the individual volume of each player on that
players page you just discovered.

There is currently no support for this in Custom Clock but if you want
to use it in a screen saver I think you should be able to do it with
Custom Clock + Screen Switcher applet.

1. Create a Custom Clock style with green color
2. Create a Custom Clock style with red color
3. Configure Screen Switcher applet to show the green color style on
some days and the red color style on other days.
4. Select Screen Switcher as screen saver.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-12-27 Thread Cams

I had Spotify working on my previous router. I upgraded to a DrayTek so
I would have 802.11n and since then Spotify has no longer been working.
I'm not sure whether switching routers is just a coincidence or a cause.

I'm running Squeezebox Server on Ubuntu Server (the latest version
minus 1)

Version: 7.5.1 - r30836 @ Tue Jun 1 05:57:28 PDT 2010
Hostname: ubuntu
Server IP Address: 192.168.1.17
Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8
Platform Architecture: i686-linux
Perl Version: 5.10.0 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi
MySQL Version: 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.5
Total Players Recognized: 2

Spotify plugin is V1.1.0

When I go to the Spotify settings, it says helper app: not running. If
I change helper app logging to something else, it then connects to my
Spotify account and I can see my playlists. When I try to connect to a
playlist, I get the following in the Squeezebox Server UI:

There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Error reading
headers: Server closed connection without sending any data back at
/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/Net/HTTP/Methods.pm line 306.
...propagated at /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/Net/HTTP/NB.pm line
32. )

I'm paying for Spotify solely to use on the Squeezeboxes. Any
suggestions on what to do? I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the
plug in a few weeks ago but there was no change.

Hope someone can help!

All sorted, thanks.

So you are basically saying that to control either one of my 2 Touch's,
I must swipe into that multi page and manually select the Touch I want.
There is no icon option where I can simply tap and select, correct?

I've read the Grouping feature on the user guide but it's not clear as

[SlimDevices: Plugins] TrackStat menus on Radio/Touch

2010-12-27 Thread Phil Meyer
I often play an album and rate songs when they are playing. Sometimes I'll
forget to rate a few. On classic players, I can bring up the mixers for the
album, and go into TrackStat and select to play Not Rated Songs. This plays
all of the songs from the album that I forgot to rate (unfortunately in a
pretty random order, but it's still quite useful).

On Radio, I can't find an equivalent (easy) way to do this. If I press More on
a song to get to the song details, scroll down to the album and press More, and
go into TrackStat, I just get a list of songs on the album, with Rating and
Playcount. From this list, all that I can do is select a song.

Is there a way to get into TrackStat stats menus for a selected item (artist,
album, genre, year or playlist)?

[NOTE: For my current specific need, I will create a specialised Dynamic
Playlist]

It will run fine on an intel or intel like processor - i.e. a PC so AMD
i386 based processors should be fine. If you have 64bit linux, please
make sure you install ia32-libs as it is a 32bit application. I say

I think it is quite common if your family of Squeezeboxen grows over
the time. I think whenever you add a new one, you may have to rethink
the previous naming schema. But then, you'll have to do some
configuration for the new setup anyway.

So, while it would be a nice thing, I don't see urgent need for it
either. I have renamed my profile now anyway.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2010-12-27 Thread PeterGV

Well, it's back to working without error this morning.

Weird. But I guess that's just the world of web page scraping. Sigh.

Looking at the script, and with all due respect (I am sooo not a Perl
programmer), I see lots of parsing code like the following:

#Next36 'B' TOD header
@matches = $tree->look_down( "_tag", "td", "class", "twc-col-3
twc-forecast-when" );

$outcome_txt = $matches[ 0 ]->as_text;
if ($outcome_txt =~ m/(.*)/) {
$wetData{1}{'forecastTOD'} = uc($1);
}
else {
$status = '-';
$log->warn('Error parsing next 24 -B- TOD header');
}

Should all these calls to look_down not be followed by a check to see
if the sought tag was returned, before dereferencing the value with
as_text? If this check were included, would it not at least allow the
script to continue running as opposed to stop running?

I'm just asking... While I'm a petty experienced programmer, I don't
write any Perl.

Peter

I'm using an AMD Athlon LE-1620 AM2 based system running Ubuntu 9.0.4

run on an Intel CPU - so am I wasting my time trying to get this to
work on my platform? Spotifyd will run for a while and I'm able to play
the stream to my SB Duet without any problem then for some reason the
process will segfault, so my question is will this run on an AMD
platform? I've increased the verbosity on the log but if I'm running an

hoping that my platform is supported and I can diagnose and get a
resolution. If somebody could confirm whether the AMD is indeed

You may want to take this up in a forum like AVFORUMS but the way I
would set up your quickselect is to configure your settings at the amp
and then press and hold the Quickselect button for a few seconds until
it locks that setting. Then you can use it in the control plugin. See

how I think its done from my memory.
