However the output seems correct. Any ideas?

I think it now should be fixed in the Custom Browse 2.11.3389 version
which I just released. I've already released a new Custom Scan version
which had a similar issue in the Tags and Dynamic Tags based menus,
not sure if that affects you.

least restarting the server if not a reinstall. It seems that the

upgrade to Logitech media centre but…. Nothing. Always same problem.
I notice that the receiver firmware, is now locked at 77 no matter if
I roll back to any 7.5 or update to 7.7. For sure firmware with 71
Spotify worked great.

DO you think there is any link between firmware 77 and the problems?

Does ipeng work with all versions of squeezebox server? The reason I

I seem to remember one of the 7.4's being the most stable (I never could

I'm using ipeng as player, am on intel mac, if that makes any
difference.

Thanks.

It should work from 7.3 on but not all features will be available before
7.4.
Actually it should work best with 7.6. What exactly are your problems,
I find the 7.6.1 to be quite stable right now, actually more stable
than anything since 7.3.

As of my experience, 7.4 was the worst of the Squeezebox Server
generations from a quality point of view, there might be errors with
iPEng, I don't test against 7.4 anymore.
If you need to go back from7.6 I'd use 7.5.6 or 7.5.3, 7.5.4 was
problematic and I never really did in-depth testing of 7.5.5, it was
out for too short a time.

Well, my problem for some time has been squeezebox server not being
able to scan my files properly, so I switched to 7.6 thinking it might
work (I've been using the folder system). But my remaining hard drive
space was diminishing rapidly as it scanned, so I had to abort. 7.6.1
did the same thing. I have a Duet, seem to remember 7.4 as being the
last version where the headphone jack on the controller would work, but
now I have ipeng as player, I guess that's not an issue.
I actually did switch back to 7.5, I think that's where I was when I
switched to 7.6, seems to be working ok. But I wish I could get this
scan problem sorted out.

Thanks for the reply.

I just bought a new MacMini to use as a music server for my SBT. It
doesn't work as I would like, especially iPeng on my iPad doesn't
connect to the server anymore so I can't use it as a remote for the

Shouldn't it be possible to change track by clicking on a track in the
full screen view of the current playlist in iPeng for iPad ?

It works in the drop down version of current playlist shown in the main
iPeng for iPad screen but when I do the same in the full screen current
playlist nothing happens, the track background just blinks once.

That's double-clicking.
Single-tap caused too many accidental activations.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Multi Library Plug In Question

2011-08-02 Thread eltoro

Hello, I have the multi library plug in installed and working. I have
one main question though...

Is there a way to have the folder selected in the multi library plug in
directory be the only one that you are able to see on the selected
squeezebox?

I'd like to keep seperate directories for each squeezebox, and not
allow All sqeezeboxes access to everything that is being served in the
squeezebox desktop server, just the folder allocated in the multi
library plug in. Is that possible? Or did I have the wrong idea on what
the Multi Library plug in does? erland? thanks for your help

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Possible MusicIP replacement in time?

As I suspected, aspects of MusicIP now don't work with OSX 10.7 Lion.

The AACTagReader component of MusicIP which is used to scan and read

There may be other aspects of MusicIP that don't work as well.

Where can I download a Windows version of MusicIP as I can do the

If anyone's sky conditions are messed up, try the attached...

After my fix above, my sky conditions (i.e. TONIGHT: CLEAR) were
messed up and were showing temps instead because of some other class
changes in the Weather.com page.

I also added an alternate similar to the previously-added severe
weather workaround, as my area has severe weather right now and the sky
conditions field now has a severe class whereas I don't think it did
before.

You can't replace your .PAR file with someone else's. It contains the
specific configurations for each of your players, based on the unique
MAC addresses.

What you really want to do is replace the plugin.pm file, which resides
within the .PAR file.

A .PAR file is really just a .ZIP file, but with a different extension,
so you probably have to monkey around with the extensions to make this
work.

If anyone's sky conditions are messed up, try the attached...

After my fix above, my sky conditions (i.e. TONIGHT: CLEAR) were
messed up and were showing temps instead because of some other class
 changes in the Weather.com page.

I also added an alternate similar to the previously-added severe
weather workaround, as my area has severe weather right now and the sky
conditions field now has a severe class whereas I don't think it did
 before.
This fix did not work for me. I just ended up with a blank screen on my
SB3.

I'm using Brampton, ON.

On an SB3 Classic, I can see the future sky conditions with up/down on
the remote... with my original fix, they were showing the temps in deg
F instead of the conditions :(

2011-08-02 Thread RonDMC

I have been using ipeng for a while and am trying to find out where I
can sort albums by Artist and not Album name... I know this is probably
a real easy one but I have gone to settings - ipeng settings and turned
off sort albums by name is there an option elsewhere as well as my
Squeezebox touches appear to sort albums by artist.

2011-08-02 Thread mr_hyde

According to my knowledge difference between 3.02 and 3.5 is an
additional sqlite database which handles the sugarcube data. This seems
to interact with ipeng when it is used as player on the ipod/ipad. Then
you will observe dropouts on the on these devices. I have also observed
dropouts on my SB3 when i played music on the ipod. There is also a
thread in the spicefly forum. This is the reason, why i still use 3.02.

Mr_hyde , thank you for that explanation.
I have not tried using ipeng as a player ans so didn't have a clue what
you were on about.
I too think Spicefly SugarCube is one of the best plugins and the Live
View addition to 3.50 was a great enhancement. Are the iPeng developers
aware of the problem?

I wasn't given a login and password after my small donation (living on a

I still cannot get sugarcube to work again, which is a great shame as
it by far the best plugin I have used.

 The latest version is 3.50.

Thanks for the information. I do use iPeng on m iPod Touch, so I guess
I should hold off until that is all sorted out.

I thought I had a login and password, but the login box on the Spicefly
site doesn't seem to work, nor does the forgot login/password options. I
guess I should email help there.
