Is the Look up context menu item for albums and tracks supposed to work
also in CustomBrowse menus? I updated to LMS 7.1.1 and that item is not
there in CB menus. I seem to remember that it was in 7.6.2.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2011-12-14 Thread pippin

I am not sure whether it was there sometimes but it's not dependent on
7.6 vs. 7.7, I don't have it in 7.6, too.
Generally, it's not so simple to do this in CustomBrowse menus because
iPeng doesn't know what the text in the menu means. I don't remember
whether CB also sends some tags iPeng might be using and whether there
maybe was a change in a recent plugin version.

The Biography and Album Review items are there in CB menus and the Add

Of course. The plugins run on the server and have access to the whole

database.

iPeng only knows the menu text.

Aha. I see (but iPeng does not). Thanks for the explanation!

An enhancement request for iPeng could then be the ability to Look up
from CB menus the items that iPeng does recognise, like the Albumartist
from a CB Album menu and the Album and Artist from a CB track menu. Any
point in me adding such a request to your bug tracker or is this not
doable/practical?

Hi,

I am using SqueezeSlave-wasapi 1.1-253 with SqueezeBox Server 7.6.1-001
installed on a Synology DS209.

It works great with 16bit/44.1Khz flac file with bitperfect.

But If i play 24bit/88.2Khz flac files... the song plays at half
speed.

I try SqueezePlay on the same client PC ... 24bit/88.2Khz plays at the
rignt speed but with a poor audio quality ( Not as good as
16bit/44.1Khz with SqueezeSlave-wasapi or SqueezeSlave-asio )

I'd like to know if there is a way to play high resolution audio files
with squeezeslave wasapi or asio.

 1. Create a Standard library library in Multi Library plugin that

 3. Create a SQL Playlist playlist that's restricted to the library

You will need to refresh the libraries when you change the duplicate

it's probably acceptable. Libraries in Multi Library plugin is
refreshed at startup, rescan or manually through the Refresh link in

Sometimes the dependent library ends up empty after a rescan until I

The problem is intermittent and random. Is it possible that you are not
topologically sorting library dependencies, so the dependent library
gets refreshed before the libraries on which it depends?

Thanks,

[SlimDevices: Plugins] pippin:Triode-iPeng/Spotify

2011-12-14 Thread bhaagensen

Hi,

I guess you are aware of the new app-feature in the (beta)
Spotify-client for computers?

I'm aware that iPeng also has apps enabling playback of playable links
on webpages. Spotify takes the concept a bit further and enables
playback of e.g. all albums reviewed on Pitchfork.

This would be really cool to have in iPeng? Any chance?

They currently don't have an API to access the output of these Apps. The
Apps themselves are HTML/JavaScript so they could theoretically be shown
as part of a web page but they currently only work within Spotify's
Win/Mac Application, they are not accessible through the web page or
even through Spotify's own iOS App.

All of this is still beta, so let's see what Spotify makes out of it.
Until then, let's hope their partners offer the same capabilities
through their websites because then you can already use it through
iPeng

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2011-12-14 Thread ddemichele

I have a playlist that I created and saved on the SB Server using the
Web UI. SB Server 7.7. On my iPeng I go and add the playlist, and the
correct number of songs move over, but many of the song names are
redundant and don't match what is in the playlist in the web UI.
HOWEVER, if I play the song, it is the correct song that is in the
playlist. See if I can provide an example:

Web UI:
Song A
Song B
Song C
Song D

Add the playlist in iPeng and see:
Song A
Song C
Song D
Song C

If I click on the iPeng playlist and click the second song (displayed
as Song C), it does play the correct song, Song B.

Is this a bug?

The refresh order should be according to the Library order parameter
value of each library, libraries with lower Library order value will
be refreshed first and then the ones with higher number. If you have
multiple dependent libraries that depends on each other, you need to
set the Library order different to make them be refreshed in the

Are you sure you are running the right version, does the version on

The other difference is that track lists will be displayed as a list in

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sugarcube not honoring minimum ratings

2011-12-14 Thread Phil Meyer
yes, I'd like to give it a go!

Okay, I've releases version 1.1 of Dynamic Playlist in my repository
(http://www.hergest.demon.co.uk/Music/slim/repository.xml). For more
information, see http://www.hergest.demon.co.uk/Music/slim/DynamicMixPlugin.htm.

Note, I have only tested this version on SBS 7.5.6 so far. No reason for me to
doubt that it won't work in other versions of SBS/LMS, but I haven't actually
tried (yet).

Please let me know how you get on!

shutdown SBS/LMS, edit server.prefs in a text editor and change
auto_rescan parameter to 0 or remove it from the file and then start
SBS/LMS again and re-run the test.

You made my day - that was the solution. Thanks.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2011-12-14 Thread espenb

Hi
First, thanks a lot for the plugin..
But I'm now very close to buying something other than Squeezebox.

It all works perfect, exept Spotify. It will work for weeks, and then
it starts skipping songs, and then stopping after a couple of songs.

It got a lot more stable after I got the computer running the server
connected by cable, and I stopped using torrents. But still... it has
now not worked for days.

I have reset everything, router, computer and switched off everything
using the wifi. Nothing helps. Have updated and reinstalled everything.

So, I do not know what else to do... Please help!!

Any chance you could revert the order of display so that Play Count

displayed in the second and last line instead of Rating.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sugarcube not honoring minimum ratings

2011-12-14 Thread MeSue

Thanks! I just got it. I'm on 7.7.1. I started it from iPeng by holding
on the playing track, then choosing Dynamic Playlists Dynamic Mix
Track. The track was already playing and it started over from the
beginning and another track was queued after it. So far so good, though
it would be nice if it didn't start the playing track over from the
beginning.

On iPeng I can change the Mix Style and Mix Variety from settings.
Would it be possible to allow changing the Filter from here, too? I can
change the filter here for Sugarcube and it's handy because I have
several filters and I like to change 'em up pretty often.

Well, now I just found where I can change the settings from iPeng under
Player Advanced Settings so that's cool. It would be a little easier
if it was in the settings from iPeng's main menu like it is for
Sugarcube.

I just changed filter in the middle of the mix and that worked fine.
Newly added songs are honoring the new filter.

I like the more simplified options. Recipes where do these come
from? I never added any to MusicIP.

I'll keep you posted on how it's working after some time, but looking
good so far!

ddemichele;676731 Wrote:
It is 15 songs. It does not seem to update ever. I will try upgrading

I upgraded to 7.7.1 but it did not help my issue. However, I do think
I've isolated the problem. I created a new playlist with different
songs and it added fine to the iPeng playlist when I Add All Songs.
So I went back to the problem playlist and started removing songs one
at a time. It turns out the playlits gets screwed up if I include
*any* songs from AC/DC - no joke. I have to think it has to do with
the folder structure or the song name structure. But I tried other
AC/DC songs from other albums and all of them have the same problem.
Here is an example file name and folder structure that causes the
problem. I'll try moving the songs to a different folder structure to
test, but this should hopefully help identify or recreate the issue:

file:///H:/a/ACDC/Live/AC%20DC%20Live%20-%2004%20Who%20Made%20Who.mp3

Also if I just have that one song in a playlist and add all to a clear
playlist, it does not show up at all in the playlist. But you can
still play the song.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Moose 0.76 Windows SqueezeboxClient

2011-12-14 Thread never2clever

I have been using Moose .76c to control my sequeezebox setup. Mainly, I
am using it to control a softsqueeze instance (on the same computer).

When I upgraded to LMC 7.7, part of Moose stopped working. It still
shows me my library, and the player controls work fine. However, When I
select an album, I can't do anything with it (like Play Now or Add to
Queue).

It could be that this stopped working with 7.6 (or even 7.5) and I just
didn't notice. But it used to work.

Is there some obvious mistake I am making?

(I know that my iPad squeeze client needed to updated when I switched
to 7.6 - is Moose in need of updating as well?)

Thanks!

mike

You will need SQL Playlist also if you like to make smart playlists
like this. Currently I don't think there is a predefined template for
it in SQL Playlist but it's definitely a good idea so I'll consider
adding a template for it in a future version. Already today it's
possible through SQL Playlist if you customize the playlist SQL
manually.

This is caused by the newer perl version used in 7.7. It's just a
warning, shouldn't cause any problems except for filling the log with

All menus that have the Cover wall two line display (since for me in

this only in most played menus would be good enough for me.

The ideal solution if at all possible would of course be to have line 2
