Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] best LMS front end(s) for a tablet Windows pc?
I've tried both and prefer the Android. The apple stuff has more polish and shine and the iOS stuff can be pretty cool, but it's expensive to upgrade. Android tablets, on the other hand, can be purchased dirt-cheap if you know where to look and have almost identical functionality. The 'best tablet pc' (http://www.espow.com/wholesale-computers-networking-tablets.html) is especially nice, with gesture-based controls and a slick, tabbed interface a la Chrome. It also runs flash, which is nice. -- bugmenot bugmenot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15664 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94047 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] InguzDSP - I'm still using it but something odd has happened
I'll start by saying I wish Logitech would just incorporate a room correction DSP into the server software already. Anyway, I decided to run new sweeps through my modified Duet. Got the left and right channel sweeps and saved them off. Ran ImpulsePrep and looked at the build log. My speakers - which in many past runs have always measured out within less than .1 meter of each other from the measuring mic - now indicate they are over 1m in distance different from each other (~5 vs. ~4 meters from the mic). Visually and via tape measure they are virtually the identical distance away from where I placed the mic. I can't figure out what's going on. If not, I guess this is not the right directory. we're getting closer! i went through this with the standard "get info" menu in the finder, permissions looked correct, but in comparing the settings for the slim and MSR files, i noticed that the slim file type was listed as an executable, while the MSR showed as a text file (even though i'd changed the extension, or so i thought). in the get info screen, there's a check box to "keep file extension hidden" and this box was checked for the MSR text file. unchecking it revealed the file was actually named MSR.conf.text. i deleted the .text extension, confirmed i really wanted to change the extension to .conf, reloaded on server, é voila! there it was. now...have not yet been able to get it to work, ie, send commands to the G61, but i need to spend some more time with it i suppose. all i really want to do is control volume on the G61 from the squeezepad/iPeng apps, and perhaps power up/power down... -- netchord -- 4 TB Drobo-->FW 800-->mac mini-->Ethernet Transporter--> Wireworld Eclipse 6 coax-->Meridian G61 G61--> Nordost Red Dawn-->Primare 30.3 Primare-->Ocos--Vienna Acoustics Beethoven/Maestro netchord's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21002 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94051 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster plug in config problem
And it worked. I copied the file across to the server, moved it to my IRBlaster dir, changed as root and relocated to that directory, fixed ownership on the file to look the same as the others (in my case, squeezeboxserver;nogroup). Then I went to a player prefs>IR-Blaster, hit Reload and there was the MSR device in full glory. I believe there are 2 possibilities at this point: either you're not adding to the right directory, or the file is not readable (owner/rights issue) by the server. Do you savvy the Terminal app on the Mac ? This is what I'd do: 1. Go the the dir: "cd /full-path-to-IRBlaster-dir" (don't type the quotes. Hit return after each commands below to launch execution) 2. Have a look at the damage: "ls -la" (a list of files in the dir, owner, rights is displayed) 3. Change what's needed. 3.1 Ownership: "sudo chown newowner:group-of-newowner MSR.conf" (sudo asks for your mac login password first. Then when you're authenticated the command is executed with elevated privileges. Once executed, re-do ls -la and the landscape should look different) 3.2 Relax access rights: "sudo chmod a+rwx MSR.conf" (makes the file readable, writable and executable for anybody. Not secure but practical. Once executed, re-do ls -la and landscape should look different) 4. You're done, time to quit: "exit" (and you can close the window and quit Terminal.app. Keeping the window open won't harm and allows to look at the trace. You can use copy-paste if you want to post what you see.) With a reload on the server, a restart if reload fails, you should see the MSR device. If not, I guess this is not the right directory. -- epoch1970 Daily dose delivered by: 3 SB Classic, 1 SB Boom iPeng (iPhone + iPad) Squeezebox Server 7.6 (Debian 5.0) with plugins: MusicIP Server Power Control by Gordon Harris WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Find cover art by bpa BBC iPlayer, SwitchPlayer by Triode PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins Just Covers by Tom Kalmijn. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94051 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Hey Triode, I captured the log, and another short-log from a different workstation/installation in Vmware, freshly installed and configured (just to show in loads the same tracks). This is a reproducable problem on every server. Every other functions works, btw. It started last wednesday without a change. What came to my attention that evening Elton John played the first time in my house, is that the playlist consisted sometimes 3-5 tracks of the same artist in sequence, which was never the case before. I've attached pictures of the playlist and the advances as screenshots as well. Strange, that I seem to be the only one. Does Spotify change their algorithms based on your location? I am out of ideas.
