Indeed.

If you put your old router back, does it start working again? Assuming
it does, there must be something in the new router that's stopping it.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Software for adding cover arts

Any other software that you prefer?

Any input is appreciated.

I killed the firewall on the router but the problem remains. I have put
in a lot of hours trying to get this to work and i´m running out of
ideas.
I can choose between all my songs on Spotify but as soon as i start a
song it just plays about ten seconds with no sound and then change to
the next song to play ten seconds without sound and so on.
Probably something with the router as suggested but what?

Stuff like this kills me...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sugarcube not honoring minimum ratings

2012-03-25 Thread haschmich

Can someone please elaborate on the prerequisites for the DynamicMix
plugin to work? I've got it installed on my NAS (Qnap TS-259 Pro+ with
LMS 7.7.1), but it doesn't seem to work. I assume I have to install
MusicIP headless on the server, but the website
http://www.hergest.demon.co.uk/Music/slim/DynamicMixPlugin.htm doesn't
mention anything to that effect - only Erland's DynamicPlaylist plugin
which I have installed and licensed.

Also from what I've been reading it appears that installing MusicIP to
work with Squeezeserver is advanced rocket science, so what would be
the minimum/easiest path to get started?

Right now, I have MusicIP Mixer installed on my Linux PC only, and I'm
using that to analyse and tag my tracks on the NAS via NFS.

Many thanks!

OK - please ignore the self test for the moment as spotify have done
something which stops that working. Try browsing entries from the top
100 menu and see if you can play anything - if you get an error on the
player an no sound, then this normally means that you need to allow the
helper app (spotifyd.exe) to receive incoming connections in your
firewall of the server machine.

If that's not it, can you post the *.cs.values.xml configuration file

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MUSO - Support Thread

2012-03-25 Thread Axel Foley

Hi,

I'm testing Muso, but I have the following problem with Albums
containing multi-disc structure, here's an example of the structure of
one of my albums:

q:\media\music\Davide Van De Sfroos\Best Of\CD1
q:\media\music\Davide Van De Sfroos\Best Of\CD2

Muso downloaded artwork for this album, but it creates musoCover.jpg
into the root of the album:

q:\media\music\Davide Van De Sfroos\musoCover.jpg

But LMS 7.7.1 after the rescan doesn't pick it up (it does for single
disc albums, the problem is just related to multi-discs).

I guess that LMS is expecting the musoCover.jpg file to be where audio
files are (CD1 CD2 subdirs), but I didn't find any option in muso to
cover this scenario.

My opinione is that muso is correct in creating it into the root of the
album, but since LMS is not picking it up (bad design) I see no artwork
when playing multi-disc albums on my Squeezeboxes.

Any advice, either on LMS or muso side?

If I manage to solve this problem I'll continue testing it and probably
I'll buy the license, it's a nice piece of software...:)

Thanks for the help.

that it allows Slacker (and maybe Deezer) Radios to be added to a
playlist, something you can't block without disabling the whole
service.

The drawback is that it blocks a few things that would be nice (Global
Search and TrackInfo menus come to mind), but if you are having a
party, I prefer safety first.

As already stated, it's a univeral App for iPhone and iPad and - not
yet stated - it's free. So if you want to use it to have a peek at how
iPeng performs without paying 10$, here's your chance.

And of course, you can have your friends download it to their own
iThingies. All you need to do is give them access to your WiFi network.
Of course, this begs the risk that they just use another App to spoil
your party but hey, it wouldn't be iPeng if Coolio and I didn't
have a solution for this... If you (as a host) also use iPeng, you can
set a username/password on your server (or use MySB) and remotely
configure iPeng Party through iPeng so that your guests will not have
access with other Apps.

Now let's only hope that Apple finally approves it next (US: this)
week, it's there for more than two weeks now, this is actually the
longest delay for a release I've ever had :(

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MUSO - Support Thread

2012-03-25 Thread jezbo

Axel Foley;697434 Wrote:

I think you mean the cover image is stored in
q:\media\music\Davide Van De Sfroos\Best Of\musoCover.jpg
It's in the parent folder since muso automatically recognises folders
CD1, CD2 etc being sub-folders of a common parent which represents the
album.

To be honest I didn't consider that the cover that muso puts in the
album folder would be usable by LMS, that wasn't part of the design
anyway. When you say you see no artwork, where do you mean? On the
device itself?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sugarcube not honoring minimum ratings

2012-03-25 Thread Phil Meyer
Can someone please elaborate on the prerequisites for the DynamicMix
plugin to work? I've got it installed on my NAS (Qnap TS-259 Pro+ with
LMS 7.7.1), but it doesn't seem to work. I assume I have to install
MusicIP headless on the server, but the website
http://www.hergest.demon.co.uk/Music/slim/DynamicMixPlugin.htm doesn't
mention anything to that effect - only Erland's DynamicPlaylist plugin
which I have installed and licensed.

I should have clearly mentioned that MusicIP is required for the plugin to work.

The plugin requires:
MusicIP (should work with it running with GUI app, but I've only tested with a
headless install).
Erland's DynamicPlaylist plugin
Logitech's MusicIP plugin

Also from what I've been reading it appears that installing MusicIP to
work with Squeezeserver is advanced rocket science, so what would be
the minimum/easiest path to get started?

It's not too bad.

1) Install MusicIP, and scan some music into it.

2) Configure the Squeezebox MusicIP plugin settings:
- Ensure the MusicIP HTTP Port is correct.
- I recommend also setting Use MusicIP to Only read mixable status from
MusicIP (faster), and still configuring a music library path in the squeezebox
server settings.

3) Scan squeezebox server music library, which should then read the mixable
status from the MusicIP library.

Then, to use my plugin:

4) Optionally configure DynamicMix plugin settings for each player.

5) Optionally configure Dynamic Playlist, to enable the Dynamic Mix playlists
as favourites (can then start mixes easier from context menus).

If you want to use Dynamic Mix Mood mixes, you need to define the moods
within MusicIP GUI, save the library and may also need to copy a music IP file
from one location to another, depending on how MusicIP was installed, etc.
Can't remember the details at the moment; will check later if you want to try
this.

The rocket science may be installing mip on the NAS if it's where
Squeezeboxserver is running integrating them is just a setting .
