Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX
Hi All Firstly thanks Triode for the sterling work, certainly looks like you done some quality work on this plugin and app. I have a little issue, I've added "Local Player" via the 3rd Party Plugin List. But it doesnt seem to have installed Squeezelite, from what I can gather this should happen. On the Local Player settings page next to the first tick box it something like Missing squeezelite-x86-64. Im at work so this message may not be 100% accurate but you get the idea. Ive download squeezelite-x86-64 it runs fine on the command line. Where does Local player expect to find the bin ? Ive also tried turning on the logging for the Local Player but it doesnt seem to send anything to LMS info log, is that where Local Player sends its logs ? [SlimDevices: Plugins] [CustomScan] No iTunes Statistics import on automatic scans
Hi Erland, First of all I want to say I'm a very happy Lifetime Licensed User of your plugins, great work! One thing has been bugging me though: I cannot get new or changed iTunes Ratings to show up after my nightly "Look for new and changed media files" scan. To be sure, I also tried a "Clear Library and Rescan Everything", but that still didn't work. They DO show up if I manually press Scan in the Custom Scan Settings, so all the parameters must be right. Have you got any idea? They should be showing up after a such a scan, don't they? === Then a second (minor) question: I thought that all the plugins were automatically updated, but I seem to run CustomScan version 2.9.3834, while 2.9.3841 is the newest. Is there something wrong, or do I have to manually update them? And if so, what would be the most convenient method? Thanks in advance! Do you have the Compilation flag set? As discussed before, the correct way to tag an album as "Various Artists" is to set the compilation flag to 1 (and to leave the ALBUMARTIST" field blank). If from song files you might need to tick the option to "Check updated metadata on Import" (Options/Music Sources/Music Folders) - did you change the album artist tag since first importing into Muso? If so ticking this flag should cure it. Morbeas: Compilation flag isn't so critical for Muso, it's only an aid for collating a compilation album when the songs aren't grouped nicely into a folder. jezbo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91575 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I suspect you have an old version of glibc and hence only spotifydnoflac works. I don't undestand why this gives no helper app running, but would want you to restart the entire NAS as sometimes the install process can leave two processes running. Just completely rebooted the NAS. Opened LMS webgui, clicked on Spotify, clicked on Top 100 tracks and clicked on a random song. It looks like it starts to play (seconds start counting up) then stops. No sound ever comes out. I tried this with several other tracks and the result was the same each time. It now supports OSX and expands the definition of "busy" to include: - Last "busy" period > now - timeout value - SBS/LMS library scanning - Player Playing - Player "last activity" (button press or browsing) > now - timeout value - Player firmware updating Adding PreventStandby's "last activity" feature to SrvrPowerCtrl would be trivial and I can certainly do that. gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

" is busy..."); return 1; } } return 0; } You an see that there is an option to always return "busy" if the player is "powered on". You should view the settings page to make sure that option isn't checked. Contrast this with the current PreventStandby's "busy" check: Code: sub _playersBusy { my $checkpower = $prefs->get('checkpower'); for my $client (Slim::Player::Client::clients()) { if ($checkpower && $client->power()) { main::DEBUGLOG && $log->is_debug && $log->debug("Player " . $client->name() . " is powered " . ($client->power() ? "on" : "off") . "..."); return 1; } if ( $client->isUpgrading() || $client->isPlaying() || (Time::HiRes::time() - $client->lastActivityTime <= INTERVAL) ) { main::DEBUGLOG && $log->is_debug && $log->debug("Player " . $client->name() . " is busy..."); return 1; } } return 0; } You can see Micheal's addition of 'lastActivityTime' to the logic. gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi pippin, I have installed the Erland's multilibrary plugin. I created a few sub-libraries and iPeng shows all the album cover art correctly. The problem I have is that if I don't use my iPad - say for 10-15 min - I can't see the album cover art. Basically I have to close iPeng completely, start the app again wait for the new sync and only after this procedure I can see the covers again. I would appreciate if you could help me out. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Triode - Spotify App - No Sound - Help Needed
Hi All I wonder if someone might be able to assist me. I have installed the Triode Spotify plugin and everything works except for the fact that unfortunately there is no sound on any of my players at the moment. I must have something set something incorrectly, but I am struggling to work out what it is. I am running Squeezebox Server 7.5.1 on Ubuntu 10.04.1. I have 3 radios, 1 SB3 and 1 Touch. The plugin installs ok. The helper app is running. Client logged in to Spotify and there are no errors. If I try and play a track from spotify, I can browse, it brings up all the lists and it brings up the artwork and the player looks like it is playing (ie the time moves), but there is no sound. I have tried this on all players I have (as well as a installation of Squeezeplay) with the same result. I have checked the firewall on the Ubuntu machine and it is set to inactive and I don't think the players have any port blocking facility. I have opened the router completely, so it is not blocking anything. If I run the Self Test, the results are: Helper App Running: Pass Logged in: Pass Spotify MetaData: Pass Streaming from Spotify: Pass Player Unable to Connect: Fail "Player did not connect to helper app - check your firewall allows the helper app to receive incoming connections from players on the helper app port defined above" (set at 9005) I have uninstalled the plugin, rebooted the Ubuntu machine and re-installed the plugin - but unfortunately it is the same, no sound. I have tried disabling FLAC in the file types for spotify, but it has made no difference. In the server log, I get an error: [13-01-31 21:48:48.1677] Slim::Control::Request::execute (1945) Error: While trying to run function coderef [Slim::Control::Commands::playlistJumpCommand]: [Can't call method "master" on an undefined value at /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotify/ProtocolHandler.pm line 82.] But I am unsure if this is the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. nfshirley's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1378 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97995 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Windows 8 App
Hi Everyone, Despite the EOL announcement for WB, Im just curious if anyone is currently working on a Windows 8 app? There's nothing in the market place and I know despite there being a couple of apps for Windows Phone, none of those apps have come across (yet). I think with the Modern design used by Windows 8, there's the possibility for a really beautiful app. Just throwing my hat in the ring for wanting an app, if others are interested maybe give a shout so we can judge demand. I am a dev myself and I may get around to making one at some point, but I have a crazy habit of starting projects and never getting them to a publicly usable state walshy002000's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=55704 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97998 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
