Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: JazzFM Plugin
Looks like login is required to access Audio on Demand trough jazzfm website... btw it is still free. I hope Triode could amend his plugin to allow input for login information on LMS plugin settings. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
Below an example of the reason I don't really like the mixes made by Smartmix. This kind of sequence of songs never would come up, but to me it's logical and sounds quite correct. (Please ignore the incorrect cover for the track by Bertignac et les Visiteurs ;)) If somebody has a recipe where this would be a possible kind of mix, please enlighten me, as I do find the MusicIP analysis part to be a rather time consuming thing + it forces me to stop playing music while it's doing it, otherwise the MusicIP database gets corrupted. 14714 +---+ |Filename: Sugarcube.JPG| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=14714| +---+ bakker_be's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30369 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97668 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Squeezebox Touch Right after installing Custom Clock Applet, Going into Extras-Custom Clock No Extras Configured So then go into Settings-Screen-Screen Savers-Custom Clock Settings Then choose styles for each config When I go into Config #1, for example, it fetches styles. I think I am missing super date time styles. I only see 2 SDT Weather Celsius SDT Weather Fahrenheit Should there be some styles for sports and others? bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Touch: Stability of Plugins: Using Screen Switcher, Daylight Clock and Custom Clock,
Hello, I am installed Screen Switcher, Daylight Clock, and set Custom Clock with SDT Fahrenheit clock, and let that run over night. When I looked at it in the morning the squeezebox touch had a message that it had restarted itself and the screen savers were not running. Should this work? bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98555 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Hello, Should using the custom clock helper affect the auto dim function? I set up custom clock to show, SDT Fahrenheit, Daylight with the screen switcher. In the darkened living room it does not look like the squeezebox touch is auto dimming anymore. bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Touch: Stability of Plugins: Using Screen Switcher, Daylight Clock and Custom Clock,
It has worked previously. I know there is some issue that it leaks resources during configuration, could you restart the Touch and try to run it another night to see if you get the same problem also when you haven't just reconfigured it ? Also, which firmware version is the Touch using ? erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98555 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Also, which firmware version is the Touch using ? Thanks for responding so quickly. Version is 7.7.2-007, server is synology. I will try again in a few days. Main goal is to listen to music. After the crash, I did a factory reset of all the squeezeboxes, so I will have to install applets again. bengaldave's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4605 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98555 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

(Please ignore the incorrect cover for the track by Bertignac et les Visiteurs ;)) If somebody has a recipe where this would be a possible kind of mix, please enlighten me, TBH: I doubt you'd ever get this. IMHO TEN tries to be too smart in some ways. Eg. as soon as I would play some local artist (mostly Swiss for me - know Stephan Eicher?), the selection would be very limited, eg. Swiss artists only. No matter what musical style. The other day I was trying to mix based on Stephanie Heinzmann. Yes, she won one of those casting shows in Germany. But the result was a mix of 90% casting show winners and runner-ups I had never heard of (I don't follow those shows - and you'd have no idea how many of them are broadcasted!). Unfortunately this is a problem I've experienced with all music services which according to TEN is using their backend. iHeartRadio, MOG, Deezer... with all of them I would get the same kind of oddities. Yesterday I had another odd case where I was mixing based on Melody Gardot, which would get me tracks by Holly Cole (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holly_Cole). Ok. But they would mix in a track by an artist they spelled Holy Cole too. This track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyiR5vCA9Iw. Now that's something that never would have happened with MIP :-). MusicIP on the other hand relies purely on the mathematical analysis of your music. And I'm still amazed about the mixes it does. Nothing I could say about any of the smart mixing features provided in any of the other softwares or services I've tried so far (incl. Apple Genius, Pandora, Last.fm, Slacker, aforementioned services etc.). Your best bet probably is to fire up The Blender from the plugin (http://yourserver:9000/plugins/SmartMix/blender.html) and try to create an Artist Radio based on some example artist you'd like to have in the mix. Enter their names in the artist field, comma separated. Additionally you could add some genre(s) to the description. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
