Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music Artist Information plugin
FYI, following the More info link on the LMS Plugins tab in Server Settings gives you a 404 Not Found for http://www.herger.net/MusicArtistInfo/ Yeah, that's just me being lazy... have to come up with a little page. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music Artist Information plugin
MusicArtistInfo fails on my Ubuntu 12 install (Logitech Media Server 7.7.2) because it can't locate HTML/Tagset.pm. Simon_rb wrote: Hi Triode, Thanks for a great plugin. I have LMS running on a raspberry Pi and the plugin works just great until I turn the players off from the mains power.. When the players are turned back on from mains they reconnect however they will only play about 20 - 40 secs of the song and then they restart from the beginning of that song, in an endless loop. If I SSH into the RPI, stop and restart logitechmediaserver service then its all working again.. The Raspberry Pi is always on. Any ideas? I did check this thread to see if it has been bought up before however there are many pages so my apologies if it has been answered before. Cheers Simon Hi Simon, Just FYI: I run a similar setup to yours, power cycle 2 Squeezebox Booms and 1 Duet player at least once per day and have no problems at all of the kind you describe. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
Hi there, first, thanks for this very good plugin. I've decided to try it out at last, and only started fiddling with advanced recipes settings, and I'm quite pleased. I've browsed this entire thread (over the last few days), and I've got a few questions, though : - is it possible to include a rating criteria ? It has been quite confusing to me, reading posts here, and in the end I don't know what is possible or not (not speaking about Roland's patch to filter at the export level... but more about a dynamic setting) - I understand it is possible to fine-tune recipes by editing the prefs manually, but is it possble to add settings not actually present in the advanced blender ? The one that I'm currently thinking of is min_ / max_duration. If yes, what would be the syntax ? If not, would it be an acceptable feature wish (regarding your key's fair use limitations) to add this setting ? Many thanks ! It seems probable that some day an iPad mini with high resolution display will be available. I've always found the iPad a bit heavy, so I might be interested in a mini. My question is, from a pure usage standpoint, does the smaller screen detract from the iPeng experience? (Considering the mini would have hi-res too.) My apologies for an almost audiophile question in such a reputable thread ;) iPeng works fine on my iPad mini. Screen size/resolution hasn't been an issue. That said, I've never had another tablet nor tried iPeng on any other device. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify [Triode] problem: Frequent bufferunderruns
I have made one small change to my setup that seems to have big impact. I set a static IP in my server. Before I had a dynamic adress that was reserved to the server by the router. Anyway I have now played for a few hours without any dropouts or skip to next song. I will try this out for a couple of days and then I'll get back to you with the result. /Anders falolaf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31117 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97851 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] cannot play rtmp stream with BBCiplayer
[Just get a mplayer which plays your stream reliably. When it does, copy the output after running the mplayer command with the -v option on the stream and attach to a post. ] bpa, my problem is I am not well versed into this stuff. I was trying to accommodate your request to find an mplayer with integrated Lib_555 library... but in the process I did not understand that it has to play Realaudio... my simple test for the mplayer is that it plays the stream I want over the PC speaker well for about 2-5mintues. So I thought I achieved my goal, since the mplayer I sent you plays all these streams well ;) I was assuming once we have the speaker output, we can transcode it into anything we want from there. but I am less than knowledgeable in this stuff, and I think you are asking for something to play real audio and I am just assuming we transcode the speaker output ( like you do with WaveIn, which I use quite a lot thank you!) On the mplayer stuff, the only ones I found is -svn and -rtm on the web, both are powerful recent builds ( like VLC) and integrate FFmpeg, but it does not seem like they have the output you want to integrate them. So I will go back and use WaveIn for odd stations. To give you a bit of a history on this, I have about 5 stations ( mostly middle east stuff) that have changed to play this odd rtsp, rtmp and quicktime ( they used to play fine on Alien rtsp until they changed). However I was lucky with rtmp stream, some of the members (thanks to this helpful forum) were able to find an expanded version to play on IBBCplayer for rtmp ( after the expansion), if you care to read earlier posts on this thread... I got most of them converted to rtmp. ( this one rtmp does not play). Do not worry much about this.. but if you have any ideas how to pipe the output of these new mplayers using the PCM stream out piped out to the box... this is something we can explore for the future... Thanks! RealAudio has nothing to do with this. RealAudio is dead. Forghet about RealAudio. All I told you if you have Live555 in mplayer (which you need for your stream) - it cannot play RealAudio, so tests with RealAudio files are irrelevant. I have installed the mplayer you referred to and they cannot play the stream on my XP system, so Id' like to see the debug output of your mplayer to veriify what mplayer is doing different on my system compared to yours. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90070 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
