I can tell you without hesitation that I would not have paid for your
tools nor Muso had I not been able to try it first. Anyone with a
computer can slap something together and then try to sell it. Why should
I have to waste money buying crap until I find the software that works
to my needs? I've been burned enough times that I rarely buy any
software that I can't try first.

Hi, I've been lurking here on and off for some time. I've got a WHS
installation (original WHS with Power Pack 3) on HP MediaSmart. Logitech
Media Server running (Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.3 - 1375965195
@ Mon Aug 12 11:14:33 CUT 2013 ). Running a Squeezebox Boom and have a
Spotify Premium subscription. Have v.2.2.16 installed. 

I've tried a few times to get your Spotify Premium Plugin running, but
always have the same issues. My user name is correct, have entered
password but I get:

Helper App: Running
Not logged in to Spotify
Login Error: General permanent error
Last Error: No error

I've got logging set to debug for the plugin and this is what I get
after I've set the password:

fetching status: HAS JSON HERE BUT THIS IS MY FIRST POST

That implies to me that it's connected ok to Spotify. If I try and enter
wrong password I get:

Helper App: Running
Not logged in to Spotify
Login Error: Bad username and/or password
Last Error: No error

and in the log:

Is there anything obvious that I'm doing wrong here? Would be very
grateful for any help or suggestions you can offer as it really bugs me
when I can't get something working!

your not using a facebook password ? you should use a device password or
if you got spotify before they teamed with facebook just us the normal
password

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. I'm feeling a bit stupid now… OK, very
stupid… It was my username that was wrong, not the password - I never
log in to Spotify as always keep devices logged in, I thought I logged
in with email rather than username 'What an idiot', you're all
thinking! All working fine now and thank you very much for your quick
reply and to anyone else who is considering my plight. I'm now very,
very happy!!!

Hi!

Is there any problem with stream quality? I didn't mark Prefer Low
Resolution in advanced settings but when I playing HD stream on
squeezbox it only plays low quality stream. I think the problem occurred
a few weeks ago. Thanks in advance.

Very many thanks indeed Triode, I have not thought to look for weeks,
being resigned to life with a low-fi cable from the laptop. Installation
only took a minute and it works as well if not better than it ever did.

Again many thanks, you are indeed a star!  This will double my use of
the Duets and I see no reason to replace it, not with my 70yr old ears
anyway.

Question is - what can I do for you??

Can you look in the server.log if there any errors either directly after
you change rating of a newly added album or after LMS has been restarted
?
You can post it or mail it to me if you don't know what to look for.

Just to make sure, you aren't changing the rating while LMS is still
scanning, are you ?
I'm asking because TrackStat can't change ratings while LMS is
rescanning, so it will queue up these requests and write them to the
database after scanning is finished. You can see if LMS is scanning by
looking in Media Scan Details section in LMS Settings/Information

Another thing that could be good information when troubleshooting is to
install the Database Query plugin and run it's Squeezebox Server
Inconsistency/Problems and TrackStat Inconsistency/Problems, just be
aware that these reports can take quite a bit of time to generate in a
large library or on slow hardware, so if you have a large library or is
running LMS on slow hardware (NAS or similar) it's probably not a good
idea to do this before we have taken a closer look at the server.log.
