I didn't get the filename in the main spotifyd logfile that TheCreat saw in his (I reverted up to the pre-release version of spotifyd that Triode posted a few days ago). I also rebooted the machine altogether since I managed to break things altogether. I made it through one song and then let it sit for ten minutes - this time I did NOT get the crash. I'll keep trying a few things on various non-sync'd players and see if I can get it to crash again. Hi, so the ipeng app states that it cannot connect to server when shairport is installed and no players available, I can see albums though I think this is only the cache I can see as I can't look at the individual songs via ipeng. All appears to be working on the LMServer and I can see available players and play music via this interface. That's interesting - there's a 10 minute idle timeout in the code which means it will log out of spotify after being idle for 10 minutes. To help debug, could you find the spotifyd.exe.conf file and manually edit the loglevel: entry to be TRACE - this should create a file called "tracefile" which logs all the calls to libspotify. Interested what this says when it crashes for the last calls made. This sounds similar to the troubles I was having a few weeks/months ago, just after I upgraded my vortexbox and installed Shairport. All of a sudden my whole set up started acting very strange, players were not detected and so on. Allthough I never figured out what was going on I did noticed that several instances of the squeezeboxserver was running on my machine, and I suspected that was the problem (I really don't know, it is just a guess). Maybe the shairport plugin fails in some way that makes the squeezeboxserver process fork itself? (again total speculation on my part). Anyway I completely fixed the problem by reinstalling the server without reinstalling the shairport plugin. See this thread for how to do that: http://vortexbox.org/forum/vortexbox/general/55669-solved-squeezebox-server-running-multiple-times-on-server-should-it-do-that @Pippin: A while ago I promised I would test a fix for iPeng that should make it crash less often on my iPhone. I just wanted to apologies that I never gave any feedback. I got super busy at work and just didn't have time to play around with it. I am not really experiencing the crashes anymore. I am not sure if this could have to do with me reinstalling the server as described above though. It looks like a nice project you've got yourself :) I think I would make life simple and get something like this; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lilliput-UM1010T-Monitor-USB-powered-Screen/dp/B003DPOMAS/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt Connect it to a Intel NUC (silent mini pc) which has dual HDMI outputs, plug one into the amp and just run a Squeezeplay client on it, this would enable device sync and you get all the plugins, benefits and features of LMS. Note: I've not done this though so it might not work :) www.spicefly.com - ** Spicefly SugarCube ** - A hassle free acoustic journey through your music library using MusicIP. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hm, looks OK to me. Is "not seeing any players" the only problem you have? Can you browse your library. Could you try to play anything on one of the players through the web interface and see whether that works? --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 7, the Universal App for iOS 7* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

That is not all of the tags in Custom Clock are displayed correctly in the first song of a playlist. It corrects as the playlists goes to the next track. For example Genre is not displayed as "Rock" but as GENRE. Same goes for Track#(just displays as empty space),Year,Trackstat Rating. Some of the other tags always display correctly (TITLE, ALBUM). What does the log show with Stream Debug set when these drop outs occur?
