Unfortunately your second screenshot doesn't show whether there's the
On WiMP item in your context menu. You'd have to scroll down that
screen.

Sure. And local tracks should have a On WiMP entry, or something's
wrong with your WiMP configuration. Unfortunately those screenshots are
pretty much useless, as they're resized...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)

2014-06-23 Thread britcowboy

Hey,

This looks really good, thanks (much better than the 90s inspired
default design)! The only problem is that I'm mostly an online services
guy, and I don't see any Apps, and when I am playing stuff through
starting on the default skin, it doesn't show anything on the playlist.

Unfortunately due to this I'll have to return to the default skin, but I
hope one day you'll find the time to implement online services :) If I
was more well versed on LMS and Perl/Python I'd give it a go myself, but
I wouldn't know where to start! (I'm more of a .NET guy myself)

Great work though, I really appreciate the amount of work that's gone
into this :)

Thanks

I have tested this version and haven't had any hickups. The testing has
not been as extensive as with previous version though but I will
continue testing.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2014-06-23 Thread ashleyw

Hi @Triode, I'm running latest Debian 32bit on virtualised VMware
workstation VMs runnign Squeezelite - I haven't looked at this forum for
quite a few months as everything has been working perfectly (including
sync etc).
I've just stopped LMS (latest 7.9.0 - 1403270469) and replaced the file
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotify/Bin/i386-linux/spotifyd
with the 32bit linux spotifyd file in the zip, and rebooted and all is
working perfectly in sync groups as before.

Code:

# uname -v
  #1 SMP Debian 3.2.57-3+deb7u2

What sort of sync issues were people having under Linux? The last time I
ever experienced any of these issues was due to pulse audio verses
ALSA.
Are the latest changes going to be officially pushed to the LMS plugins
soon? Thanks again for your continued commitment to the
squeezebox/squeezelite users.

I just installed Test3 and will report back. I ran Test2 from Friday
until earlier today and actually didn't have any crashes. That
surprised me since I swear that I had crashes on the Test2 version
before. Maybe I hadn't rebooted and cleared everything out (or maybe a
Windows update finally did something).

Test2 did have that runaway CPU process (maxed out a single core) but
Test3 so far doesn't seem to be doing that.

I will let you know about stability of Test3...

Thanks!

Sorry I used 'crossfade' in the wrong context.
I checked settings, and as I suspected I have crossfade turned off on
all of my players.
I do not use any streaming music services along with my local files.
In the advanced settings for Smart Mix I have selected only Local Music
Files.
In the advanced settings for the player I checked the smart mix settings
and found that Music Sources was set to Music Services and local files.
I changed that to Local Music files.
This evening I did not hear the same premature fade from one song to
another. If I do I will try to capture the log.
