Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Help with Multi-Library Plugin

2014-11-22 Thread erland

There are a few tutorials for Custom Browse linked from it's
installation section on the wiki:
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom_Browse#Installation

The relation to MultiLibrary is basically that:
- You either setup a menu in Custom Browse and specify the "Library"
parameter in the menu configuration to select which library it should
show
- Or you setup a menu in Custom Browse and don't specify any "Library"
parameter value but instead goto the Multi Library library configuration
and check the menu you have just created in Custom Browse.

If you want more help it's easier to help if you explain exactly which
kind of menus you would like to accomplish.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Patch no longer installs...

2014-11-22 Thread tandy1000rl

Patch no longer installs from this repository:
https://server.vijge.net/static/squeezebox/repo-beta.xml

When I try to install Reduced Screensaver Brightness patch, I get error,
"Patch not downloaded, failed to verify SHA checksum". All files
including .xml and .patch connect fine via Firefox. I'm on latest 7.9

I have been using the iplayer and extra plugin extensively , so i am
very dissapointed this BBC functionality is gone !
Now, i have tried the above method , using the "The Archive menu " then
: "Current & Archived Radio 4 programs by genre"
,but i get:"There was an error loading the remote feed for : (Failed to
parse)"
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

The Archived by genre works OK for me. There may be some sort of caching
going on after using the "categories" menus. I suggest stop LMS and
restart and then only access the Archive or Schedule menus.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Help with Multi-Library Plugin

2014-11-22 Thread arthurb

Hello Erland and thank you for replying to my query.

It was very late last night when I posted the questions, and I think I
was not as clear as I might have been. Currently I have, presumably by
installing 'Custom Browse', added the option 'Music Folder' to the Menus
for LMS and my Squeezebox Touch. That, as I said earlier, is a great
help; however, I would like to do much more.

I am now trying to define three 'virtual' libraries, but when I look at
the first (by clicking on Multi-Library) it shows:

> Active Library FLAC_Classical
>
> Choose a sub-library to activate
>
> FLAC_Classical (number of songs: 0)
>

I have been trying to add this library by 'including' the /FLAC Music
Library/Classical folder, and 'excluding' the /FLAC Music
Library/Popular/ folder along with two others. But it only seems to
recognise the main library/folder (i.e. FLAC Music Lirary).

I know I am floundering around here, which is why I was asking for
general help. I have no idea what I am supposed to be specifying in
that large definition page, nor do I know what it is that I am
specifying. On the Multi-Library definition page it says: 'Please enter
library parameters', but I cannot find anywhere that the parameters are
explained, or even what processing is going to be done on them.

Can you, or anyone, start with some 'Help' information about the Library
definitions? After I can define the libraries, -then- I will turn to the
browsing of them.

Regards,
Arthur.

Said this before -- if we can't go after an API (from either Weather.com
or WU) , it's a wild goose chase maintaining this with screen-scraping
techniques. Unfortunately, with the target market dwindling
(Radios/Touches and old ip3k Squeezeboxen), I'm not sure Greg will be up

Pretty much all the class and span IDs have changed. Whole sections are

charges for access to that, right?

Even if free (Stratus level), you would still need to sign up for a

Good point. I guess not everyone would be able to edit the plugin to add

I guess it's back to Martin Rehfeld's "Weather, Date & Time" plugin for

Do you know if this will work on a Radio and/or Touch currently running
LMS 7.8.1 - 1416307957? While I see it listed in the 'active plugins'
section and it's checked as 'enabled' it does not show up on either

Only weather.com is broke for me. Wunderground still works. I forgot
that I was using my own patch from when weather.com broke about a year
and a half ago. I hadn't updated to Greg's 5.9.16.

I did some testing and found that 5.9.16 is broke, but if you load the
next older version of Greg's plugin.pm file (5.9.14) you can get
wunderground working again.

As before you can get it at the following URL.

https://code.google.com/p/grebrown-projects/downloads/list

Hope this helps some of you until a new update can be released for the
weather.com changes.

Cheers,
Don
