Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
I have problems with Net::Socket:SSL perl module in the new version. LMS Most likely this is still reported, yes, but it doesn't really matter. I implemented a workaround, but forgot to remove the warning. 7.7.4 somehow complained the perl module is not installed. It baffles me because I used the very same perl version (5.14.4) that compiled the LMS perl modules on 7.7. All I did was copied the arch folder over into CPAN in LMS 7.7.4. The SmartMix plugin has/had a warning about this. It's probably the plugin, not LMS itself. What exactly is the message you're seeing? On what platform? FWIW: SmartMix only needs it to verify Spotify tracks. But as I said, I've implemented a workaround for this. If you don't get non-playable Spotify tracks or aren't even using Spotify, then you most likely can ignore that warning. Oh... hold on... and update to 7.7.5: I think I did introduce a bug in 7.7.4 very late in the game, as a reaction to the Poodle vulnerability. It was supposed to protect mysb.com, but slipped a bug in to LMS right before release... -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I believe repo links are xml files. A zip file or replacing plugin.pm will work for a manual install surely, but I don't want to have conflicts with repo later. mkkyah's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58652 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92723 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Intermittent problems with streaming radio using iPeng
I performed a router reset a few days ago in an attempt to resolve numerous other problems, but unfortunately it has not fixed the radio streaming issue when using iPeng. Rebooting the server has not worked either. I can stream locally stored music from LMS to the iPod with no problems at all for many hours, but the radio streams still end up skipping after a short period of time. If anything, this problem is now occurring more frequently than before - today and yesterday I could only listen for 4 or 5 minutes before the stream began to skip. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Intermittent problems with streaming radio using iPeng
Could you try to set Settings-Player Settings-your iThingy-Audio-MP3 streaming Methode in the Web Interface to Proxied streaming? Ansteht thing worth trying (maybe first) it to enable small buffer size in the Bitrate limiting settings for the player in iPeng --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 8, the Universal App for iOS 7 and iOS 8* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102480 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] WaveInput Setup Troubles
I think you have now run into Pulseaudio. I'm not a fan of PulseAudio - others have no problems with it. I have found Pulseaudio can solve problems I never have and causes problems with what I want to do. So on my Linux boxes I have given upon Pulseaudio and install ALSA. To get WaveInput working on your setup, you first need to just get an arecord command line that can record the audio from your speakers into a wav format file. Don't have LMS or ecasound running. It will be probable to do with Pulseaudio configuration (e.g. pavucontrol). My guess is that either Pulse or Alsa are doing mixing of inputs such as from your audio app, other apps and/or line-in, mic in. The audio sources will not be at 100% so volume may be reduced and line-in-mic can introduce noise. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102551 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Intermittent problems with streaming radio using iPeng
Probably not related directly to your issue but recently I've experienced BBC streams dropping out for a few seconds, then they recover. However, with LBC I've twice had problems when the skip results in my Touch actually rebooting. Very strange. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] WaveInput Setup Troubles
In The waveinput plugn thread some other have posted solution using Pulseaudio on other lnux box. 1. Convert audio to a httpmp3 stream and then play audio direct just like a normal stream see http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?49584-Announce-WaveInput-for-Linuxp=766290viewfull=1#post766290 2. Using parecord http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?49584-Announce-WaveInput-for-Linuxp=774712viewfull=1#post774712 There may be other solution in the WaveInput plugin thread. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102551 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Does anyone use Multi-Library, Custom Scan and Browse plugins with Classical Music?
Has anyone managed to get Erland's Multi-Library, Custom Scan and Custom Browse plugins to give a new browsing format with Classical Music? I have been trying for many, many hours over the past 2 or 3 days to set up menus to browse by: Composer - Genre - Album - Album Artist. I have failed, and it is very, very frustrating - does anyone actually use these plugins for such non-standard browsing. arthurb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56956 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102581 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
