Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SmartMix 1.6: support for mobile browsers &LMS 7.9 library views

2015-01-20 Thread Michael Herger

Ok, most likely some kind of caching issue. I'll add some kind of cache buster
as a next attempt.

Please try 1.6.2. In iPeng I was thrown out of the SmartMix menu when I
changed player, and it worked afterwards. In OrangeSqueeze you'll still
have to exit the menu, and re-enter it to get the new URL.

thanks Michael, 1.6.2 works for me in iPeng on iPad. I can swap from one
player to another player and I am taken back to SmartMix menu, I then
select "The Blender" and can set-up a blend for the newly selected
player.

2015-01-20 Thread philippe_44

Yes, this is what I do and when you see 'unknown codec' log it means
there is no match found. It is done one a per track basis, instead of
general capabilities description at start because for pcm, there is no
general rule, it depends on each track. Still, I agree that for format
like flac, I could remove the capability from the LMS list if no flac at
all exists in the upnp player 'sink' capabilities

LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. Sonos 2xPLAY:1,

Thanks for your answer.
Tried the plugin. It did only a very few albums. However The Album Art
Downloader worked very well
http://www.hydrogenaud.io/forums/index.php?showtopic=57392. So now iPeng
shows all art work. (I expect it will after a rescan :) )

iPeng on iPhone 6 Pluss work fine now also.

Bitrate / samplerate etc:
Maybe it can be made as an in-app purchase ? If I understand you
correctly, the information is available.
I suggest to shrink the time line info bar, and put the resolution
information on the right side. Or as an option top left after the album
art and before artist/album. Seems to ba a lot of unused space there.

Good news to share:
I've just re-executed the same procedure as the one I documented on

Total execution time 20 minutes (including testing on 4 booms).
A warm applause for BoomX2.

One thing I'll monitor: full text information (operated by ffwd and rew

Tried it with the Chicago identifier & bingo!
I was using the identifier EGSS for Stansted, UK, which seems a

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2015-01-20 Thread Chippy

Hi -
I'm having trouble with the plugin - but only on my Squeezebox Radio.
When I try to listen, I am able to browse the Spotify menus without
issue, but as soon as I try to play a song I get the message "User has
been banned" on the Radio screen.

Spotify is playing fine through the same LMS to my SB3 and Booms, so I
don't think it's my Spotify account.

The plugin self test (on LMS) runs OK until the 5th section, where it
says "player unable to connect". At the exact time that this part of the
test fails, I also see the "User has been banned" message on the radio.

The Radio is on my WiFi network - no firewalls, etc, in play. The Radio
is otherwise working normally.

Any advice gratefully received...

cheers
Chippy

Glad you got it sorted out!
I believe the EGSS is a Stansted airport code. I received a previous
request to be able to use airport codes, and it's on my "todo" list.
It's do-able, but not sure when I'll have time to implement.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] New plugin for audio bookmarks

2015-01-20 Thread rpress

I reinstalled and deleted the prefs file, and that problem went away.
There are a couple other "deprecated" warnings, I get a few of those
with other plugins anyway. One small problem, when I try to change
"Threshhold für bookmarks" in the settings and click apply, it does
change the prefs file but it still shows "30" on the settings page, not
sure why that is.

The reason I want to do all albums is because I use this in my car.
When I turn the car off the empeg turns off too, and the track starts
over again when I turn it back on. But mainly because I listen to
podcasts and a lot of those do not have genre information. I have
podcasts in their own folder, so maybe a setting to bookmark by folder
would be nice, that way the "No Genre" ones still get bookmarked.

Do not touch - that feature has been dead for a numebrof years - and it
is unrelated.

BBC have been changing the whole player setup I am still looking but
have been otherwise busy for the last week.
I have noticed references to NITRO (The new API which is not accessible
to non BBC people) in iPlayer web pages so it seems there is some
transition in progress.

I doubt that any smartphone is able to do that.
Userscript is a powerful feature of desktop browsers, including firefox
(with a plugin) opera (12, not the new webkit based opera next) and
chrome. But not IE...

But if you find a trick...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SmartMix 1.6: support for mobile browsers &LMS 7.9 library views

2015-01-20 Thread get.amped

Just installed the latest 7.9 nightly and modified plugin.pm to include
the following:

{
id => 'SmartMix',
name => 'Smart Mix selection',
sql => qq{
INSERT OR IGNORE INTO library_track (library, track)
SELECT '%s', tr.id
FROM tracks tr, genres g, genre_track gt
WHERE tr.content_type = 'flc'
AND tr.id = gt.track
AND g.id = gt.genre
AND g.namesort in ('INDIE','ALTERNATIVE
ROCK','ROCK','GRUNGE','SOUL','FUNK')
}

Which results in 99,058 tracks. Set the plugin to use it, goes through
the rescan and completes remarkably fast (Smart Mix Profile export only
took 05:48).

Built-in mixes seem to work well. Blender comes up and lets me configure
a custom mix.

I can see that this will be fun to play with and I can always create
other library views and use them since the rescan time to export the
profile is so quick.

So, many thanks Michael!

Thanks. You've confirmed that forking shutdown with & solves the
problem? If so, I'll put that into the code. Thanks.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2015-01-20 Thread rgro

Hi Pippin,

I just received a new vortexbox micro appliance today and it's running
the stock current LMS 7.8. I've got everything working pretty well but
there's one small problem. All of my seven apps show up in the LMS web
interface and are functional via the LMS web interface. However, the
'My Apps" page in iPeng only shows two of them: "Facebook" and
"Spotify". The rest are not shown (Pandora, Sirius, etc.). I've tried
flushing the cache, restarting, etc. but still the same problem. I'm
sure it's something really simple.

Thanks...

Rg

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin

2015-01-20 Thread gharris999

I'm now running MAI v09.11 and it's doing a lot for me...finding most of
my locally stored artist.jpg and bio.html files.

One complaint: when the plugin parses and renders the bio.html files,
it seems to ignore the fact that they're UTF-8 encoded, or
double-encodes them -- I can't tell which:
17199
You can even see the BOM characters at the top of the file.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SmartMix 1.6: support for mobile browsers &LMS 7.9 library views

2015-01-20 Thread get.amped

Just in case anyone else with a ginormous collection is interested in
creating a sub 100K, genre-based library view, SQLite Expert Personal is
a very useful query tool:

http://www.sqliteexpert.com/download.html

Just make a copy of library.db and open it in SQLite Expert.

This query will give you a list of the number of FLAC tracks for each
genre (leave out the "tr.content_type = 'flc' and " part for all file
types or use your preferred type):

select g.namesort, count(tr.id)
from tracks tr, genres g, genre_track gt
where tr.content_type = 'flc'
and tr.id = gt.track
and g.id = gt.genre
group by g.namesort
order by g.namesort

You can then copy and paste the results into a spreadsheet and play with
combinations of genres until you have the one that works best for you.

My spreadsheet has the genre in column a, the count in column b, column
c is blank and this formula entered into the first row of data (starting
on row 6) in column d:

=if(c6>" ",b6,0)

and copied to all the subsequent rows.

I freeze the top row so it doesn't scroll and enter this formula into
B1:

=sum(D6:D150)

Then I can put an "x" in column c to select genres and get the total of
my selections at the top of the sheet.
