Take a look at your tracks (flacs?) using a tagging tool such as mp3tag (windows) or puddletag (linux) or foobar2000 (windows but will work under wine in linux). Is there a Rating tag or something similar? You may have to search for it, but if it is present all is not lost. If there is such a tag, Erland's custom scan can pick it up if you configure it to do so. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
I am starting to get worried that I wasted a lot of time applying ratings to individual songs when I ripped my CDs. When you pop a CD in with dbpoweramp running it looks at some online ratings and shows stars (1-5) displayed near each song on the CD. I took these as a starting point and went ahead and adjusted ratings up or down as I saw fit. When I had done so to all the songs on the CD I went ahead and ripped to FLAC files on a HD. I looked at the files with windows explorer and saw the rating stars I had assigned were displayed by the songs so thought I was good. I probably have ratings that are not in tags but elsewhere?? You may be right about Random Playlist plugin. I recollect an early Erland plugin that jazzed up the standard Random Mix playlist generator. Might be losing my mind too. My hair is sure going fast. I need to sulk awhile now. Might just give up and go back to listening to internet radio. :( magee35's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58837 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: music visualizer for squeezelite
Description This package provides a number of visualizations for squeezelite (~20 different ones, some with multiple modes and/or presets (e.g. projectM includes ~280 presets)). It's based on libvisual and projectM. 172961729717298 More examples see 'here' (http://projectm.sourceforge.net/) Availability 'Sources' (https://extgui4lms.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/sqlvis/libvisual-master-0.5.sql.tar.xz) and a 'binary' (https://extgui4lms.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/sqlvis/sqlvis-bin-0.0.1.tar.gz) for Linux x86_64 are available 'here' (https://code.google.com/p/extgui4lms/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Fsqlvis). Installation - download the sqlvis-bin-x.y.z.tar.bz2 file - untar to / (tar -C / -xzf sqlvis-bin-x.y.z.tar.gz ), which will create /opt/libvisual-0.5/... - edit /opt/libvisual-0.5/etc/se-mac.conf and adjust the MAC adress to the one squeezelite is bound to (check in the web interface, or start squeezelite with -v -d all=info) Running squeezelite must run on the same computer with visualization enabled (the -v flag). This package includes a program called lv-tool to display the visualizations. Execute /opt/libvisual-0.5/bin/lv-tool -h to see all option Execute /opt/libvisual-0.5/bin/lv-tool --plugin-help to see which visualizations are available. Example: /opt/libvisual-0.5/bin/lv-tool -i squeezelite -a projectM -D 1200x800 Hint: You can cycle through the different visualizers using the mouse wheel. ESC exits. Prerequisites The following packages have to be installed: libSDL 1.2 Open GL (Mesa) ALSA liborc (Oil Runtime Compiler. Part of gstreamer - see http://code.entropywave.com/projects/orc/) expat libpng 1.6 projectM (optional but recommended; should be installed in /usr), which will in turn depend on: freetype ftgl glew As these are fairly common packages, they should be available from your distribution package management. Building If you want to run this on an other platform than 64bit x86 Linux, you'll have to build it yourself Most likely, only *nix based OSes (Linux, BSD) will work. Windows certainly will not. If you know cmake, building is fairly straightforward - make sure you have all libraries, headers and build tools available - build and install the libvisual package into /opt/libvisual-0.5 - for the next step, pkg config needs to be configured to include the installed libvisual (adjust path if necessary): export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/opt/libvisual/lib64/pkgconfig - build and install the libvisual-plugins package into /opt/libvisual-0.5 Stability This is an quick hack based on an unreleased version of an unstable library. That being said, it has run flawlessly on my setup for hours without crashing. Credits / technical background Basically, this is the current master branch of libvisual on github (pre 0.5, which hasn't been released). I wrote an input plugin for squeezeelite, and ported the projectM plugin to this version. +---+ |Filename: ss3_c.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17298| +---+ [ extGUI4LMS - an alternative web interface: 'forum' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?98186-Announce-Alternative-Web-Interface-(beta)) / 'homepage' (http://code.google.com/p/extgui4lms/) ] Roland0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56808 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103073 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

First use the trackstat menu to set the rating of a few pop tracks, then retest your dynamic playlist menu. It should work (he said, hopefully). Do your tracks have a 'rating' tag? If they do, then 'custom scan' can be used to read the rating tags (which is what I do) See http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/TrackStat_plugin and http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom_Scan_plugin#Rating_Tag. I never used the Random Playlist Plugin so have no idea where it got its ratings from (if it did - the description at http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Random_Playlist_plugin doesn't indicate that it did). [SlimDevices: Plugins] Convert RAW IR code to Distrete to use in the SBT
Hello, I recently bought a 2nd hand SBT with Linear PSU. I am really happy with it but as of now I can't use the IR Blaster Plugin to control my Bryston B60 SST Integrated Amplifier. I know that the SBT can only use discrete codes but all I could fine were Pronto codes that I managed to convert in LIRC codes as shown below. This gives me RAW codes that I know are not usable by the touch. Is there a way to get to the discrete codes? Would it work if I managed to get hold of a Bryston remote and run the IRDECODE program in LIRC? > Up: 006D 0012 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 > 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 0046 000A 0046 000A > 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0048 000D 0240 > Down: 006D 0012 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C > 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C > 0049 0048 000A 0048 000A 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0049 000C 0240 > Mute: 006D 0012 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D > 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 000D > 0047 000D 0047 000D 0047 0045 000A 0045 000A 000D 0047 000D 0240 > > begin remote > nameB60 > flags RAW_CODES > eps 30 > aeps100 > gap 15146 > begin raw_codes > > name Up > 342 1893 342 1893 342 1893 > 342 1893 342 1893 342 1893 > 342 1893 342 1893 342 1893 > 342 1893 1841 263 1841 263 > 342 1893 342 1893 342 1893 > 342 1893 342 1893 342 > > name Down > 316 1920 316 1920 316 1920 > 316 1920 316 1920 316 1920 > 316 1920 316 1920 316 1920 > 316 1920 316 1920 316 1920 > 1893 263 1893 263 316 1920 > 316 1920 316 1920 316 > > name Mute > 342 1867 342 1867 342 1867 > 342 1867 342 1867 342 1867 > 342 1867 342 1867 342 1867 > 342 1867 342 1867 342 1867 > 342 1867 342 1867 1814 263 > 1814 263 342 1867 342 > end raw_codes > end remote *Living Room:* Transporter - Gryphon Diablo Amplifier - AudioPhysic Avanti Speakers + SUB Rhea II *Kitchen:* SB3 - Bryston B 60 SST Amplifier - Acoustic Energy AE1 Mk III SE Speakers *Bathroom:* SB Radio *Control:* iPeng8 *Server:* LMS on WHS 2011 myhero's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38241 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103068 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Do you have any ratings of that level on your songs? I'm not clear where the ratings come from for trackstat unless you explicitly rate songs with the trackstat plugin on specific tracks or albums. Having just installed the plugin you may have none unless you restored from a previous backup. Use the Trackstat menu to see what ratings you have got. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
Hi again. So rereading the Erland Wiki for setup smart playlists again and I see that Trackstat Plugin is indeed *needed for rating based Playlists*. http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Setup_smart_playlists I added Trackstat to my plugins at the extension downloader. Then got the licensing straight for it. Going back to that smart setup page in the Wiki I decided to use the example to make a "*Top rated pop songs*" which "should play random that have a rating of 4 and above and belong to the Pop genre." Open Extras/SQL Playlist in the web interface Select Create new playlist Select playlist type : Advanced with rating Enter playlist parameters - Playlist name: Top rated pop songs - Minimum rating: - Include genres: Mark pop deselect everything else Click next Change parameters - Filename: topratedpopsongs.sql.values Click save to store the changes So I went Dynamic Playlists and I found the new Top rated pop songs playlist at the end of the list. I highlighted this new playlist and clicked play - nothing happens. The right panel continues to say "empty", no playlist is generated, nothing happens. Tried this several times with same result. Tried Save and play and still nothing happens. I don't know what the problem might be now. Any ideas?? magee35's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58837 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
