socketwrapper will not be used when playing to Radio and Touch unless
youhave non standard settings.
You should revert back to original socketwrapper to ensure your
installation is standard.

To track the BBCiPlayer problem you should enable logging
plugin.bbciplayer.hls to info and see if any error is logged

You may have an issue with the squeeze2uPNP plugin and logging should be
enable for it to discover if the breakdown originating on the
squeeze2upnp "devices".

I'm sure the BBC are at fault with some of the drop-outs too but from
what I've observed on my own set-up, Win 7 LMS 7.9 latest nightly,
Touch, Radio and also use Squeeze2uPnP to a Naim Uniti, the drop-outs
have only occurred on the BBC live streams since the switch to HLS. When
the BBC changes were originally made I had to increase the buffer
setting on Squeeze2uPnP to make it playable and could observe the way
the data buffer fills which was very similar to the pattern you
commented on in post#3913, hence my desire to try your revised
socketwrapper. Most of my BBC radio listening is done with the Touch and
the Radio but as a comparison, Minimstreamer to the Uniti running on the
same Win 7 machine runs without dropping out.

I don't want to divert attention away from your resolution of psketch's
problem but if you can point me in the right direction logwise, I'll
know what to do in future.

PS Modified socketwrapper has now run for over 4 hours without a
stop.;)

Thanks.

That's a different problem and may be the BBCs.

First step - provide details on your system, players and if there are
any message in the log.

I understand that the build is intended for psketch but FYI I installed
to a Win 7 machine. It doesn't appear to have affected anything however
Radio 2 live stopped again after about 40 minutes.

So did anyone get their hands on actual devices?

I hear some LG Music Flow models which are Google Cast for Audio
compatible are now shipping in the US. Like the LG Music Flow H3, H5,
and H7 speakers (think Sonos Play:1, 3, and 5), a bridge, and soundbars.

psketch

Attached is a VS5 build of socketwrapper with the safety watchdog
facility disabled. This is not a solution but to be used to see if the
safety watchdog is causing the problem.

The file is zipped so after unzipping - check that it runs from a
command prompt as it is a VS5 build and works on W7 but am not sure if
compatibility libraries are on your version of Windows.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] EuropaJazz HD

2015-04-26 Thread ian_heys

I'm looking for advice on how to stream this URL from Europajazz HD,
perhaps bpa's "Play HLS" could be adapted or some subtle change to the
customconvert.conf?

http://www.europaradiojazz.org/stream.flac.m3u

Currently playing some great Ella tracks on this url and their alternate
320kBps AAC service.

Thanks
