Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I need help! After spending hours just trying to get Spotify to take my credit card, now I can't get this plugin to work. The helper app will not run. I don't know if it matters, but I had a Premium account years ago that was reverted to free, but when I rejoined today, I did it as a new account. I am on Windows Home Server 2011 LMS 7.9.0 - 1428327734 I installed the Visual C++ redistributable I have removed and reinstalled the plugin multiple times, including manually deleting the spotify.prefs I have manually added spotifyd.exe to the firewall exceptions. I have refreshed the Spotify settings page with my new username and password countless times. I have set the helper app logging to debug, but the log is always empty. I have restarted my server machine multiple times. I have tried running it from the command line and this is what I get: > > C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application > Data\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledP > lugins\Plugins\Spotify\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread>spotifyd > [22:22:52.961] main:448 spotifyd 2.3.8 started ( libspotify: > 12.1.51.g86c92b43 R > elease win32 ) > [22:22:52.977] read_config:350 unable to open config file: spotifyd.conf > [22:22:52.977] main:459 Unable to read config file > SUE -"If you're happy and you know it turn the volume up and 'blow it out' (http://www.last.fm/music/The+Features/Exhibit+A/Blow+It+Out)."- 1 Touch | 2 Booms | 2 Radios | 1 Duet | 1 SB2 HP Proliant N54G | Logitech Media Server 7.8 | iPhone & iPad w/ iPeng Find me on 'Last.FM' (http://www.last.fm/user/MeSue) | 'Twitter' (http://twitter.com/suechastain) | 'Rhapsody' (http://www.rhapsody.com/members/mesue) 'My Journey to Musical Bliss' (http://www.geekintheforest.com/musical-bliss/) | 'Squeezebox is Dead. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
LMS supplies it's own specially modified build of faad. The standard one doesn't support ALAC nor does it accept input from stdin, these were added for the LMS version. The help text you quoted makes me doubt that you are running the LMS version of faad. Hi Tim. I can get BBC R4 to play on my Duet Controller but on the Duet Receiver and Boom whenever I tune into it, the feed plays for 2 to 5 seconds (with no audio) then stops. I have LMS running on a Pogoplug E02 with archlinuxarm: 4.0.1-1-ARCH #1 PREEMPT Thu Apr 30 13:21:55 MDT 2015 armv5tel GNU/Linux Four years ago bpa advised PasadenaDave that under the AAC type - if the Flac and MP3 options are greyed out or disabled then faad is not installed. Mine are OK under AAC/AAC and MPEG-4/AAC; but under Apple Lossless/Apple Lossless FLAC is disabled and greyed out, and under MPEG-4 SLS / HD-AAC/AAC FLAC, MP3 and PCM are all greyed out. I've checked my copy of FAAD which says: *** Ahead Software MPEG-4 AAC Decoder V2.7 ** Build: Oct 24 2013 Copyright 2002-2004: Ahead Software AG audio coding's url here but this bbs won't allow it in my first post Floating point version This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License. ** Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. slowcoach's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64359 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Is that right, and is there anyone else? All fine here, runing alpha3 iPlayer plugin plus the updated faad.exe on WHS v1 with LMS 7.8.0. I haven't bothered with the various patches (live text, bit rate on More Info, ensuring filetype doesn't confuse things) because while they're nice and I'd like them in a consolidated updated plugin, they're not critical enough for me to go faffing with the plugin code. iPlayerExtras is also working fine for me. Most of what I play is Radio 2 live, and Radio 3 Listen Again. I try to vary how I listen to these, changing plugin for Listen Again and using UK and non UK streams for live. All variations work. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
If you run a local LMS on a PC or server (not the built in LMS in the Touch) there is an updated BBC iPlayer plugin from Triode where everything is working again (live and listen again). You'll need to add an extra plugin repository though for this early release, the standard repository still has the old plugin in it. There are full instructions on a sticky thread, and it is very simple to install. But if you don't have a local LMS on a PC or similar (Mac, Linux etc) then this is no use to you, unless you're willing to install LMS somewhere. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Thanks, guys. I use mysqueezebox.com: I have added station urls to my Favourites list and its been fine. Obviously, the BBC mess means I now have a load of stations that don't work in that list. Obviously, all of these also appear in LMS. Just noticed that LMS has BBC iPlayer under Internet Radio - presumably that's Triode's? Nothing works on it so that can go, too. I also have the BBC app: this is the one with the plain BBC logo in mysqueezebox.com, it includes some Listen Again/iplayer stuff - is this Triode's? Think I'll delete the Favourites Beeb stuff, the BBC app in the above paragraph has already been uninstalled. All I want is the urls for something that works; I'm IT savvy but really can't be bothered with piles of coding and fiddling that will probably crash the Touch. Darned shame and tantamount by BBC of denial of service to taxpayers. Do we have a known working config for an Oppo 95 or 93? Now it looks a lot easier to instal I might give this a go. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Rocki with LMS
Is anyone using Rocki's with Logitech Media Server? I've already got LMS installed and have purchased 3 Rocki's for different zones, but of course LMS doesn't detect them as they are not Logitech products. I've found a utility called squeeze2upnp which can make uPNP devices appear as LMS devices which sort of works as the Rocki's are now detected by LMS but as yet I am unable to succcessfully get them to play. https://github.com/philippe44/LMS-to-uPnP Anyone one using these with LMS or can offer any advice? simonk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46699 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103601 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The workaround gets around the problem and now working properly on the laptop. Away this weekend so I'll wait for your revision until I install on the server. For those unsure about the workaround the devices section of the revised config file, now called "upnpbridge" in the prefs folder, looks as follows, although I have no idea why there are 2 lines of 1 per device when there was only 1 line per device when I altered the file. uuid:5F9EC1B3-ED59-79BB-4530-0011F6A85A87 Uniti2-5A87 00:11:f6:a8:5a:87 1 1 uuid:5F9EC1B3-ED59-79BB-4530-0011F6A85A87 Uniti2-5A87 00:11:f6:a8:5a:87 1 1 It's all looking good.
