Which is why I continue to use iPlayerExtras since most of what I use
LMS for radio is Radio 3 which is 320kbps on RTMP.

Extras plugin uses Flash/RTMP format and can provides 320kbps for some
programs.

BBCiPlayer plugin Listen Again only play HLS format and has only
supplied 127kb except a for a few programs.

You are getting the best the BBC provides.

Or, paste the following into the Tune In URL box, and it will use the
BBCiPlayer plugin to play (alpha3 plugin):
iplayer://aod?hls=http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/uk/sbr_high/ak/bbc_music_jazz.m3u8

You can then save as a favourite.

Why use "aod" rather than "live" ?

I think it important to note that (as far as I am aware) the RTMP
320kbps is available for all Radio 3 programmes but for no other BBC
channel.

I've just used the BBC's Windows browser client to play both Radio 3 and
Radio 4 Listen Again programmes and it would appear that both were 320
kbps HLS. So perhaps the current HLS listen again streams now include
320 kbps options.

(I haven't been following the recent developments and only realised that
listen again had changed when tried to catch up with a programme -
something I haven't done for some time. Up to now I have been using the
initial tweaks with ffmpeg for Live and rtmp Listen Again.)

Yes but you need to add the URL to either the BBCiPlayer menu.opml
(although it is a bit complicated) or if you have the playHLS plugin
installed - it will play as a Favorite

The URL is
http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/nonuk/sbr_vlow/ak/bbc_music_jazz.m3u8

Note for uk listeners change "nonuk" to "uk" and to improve quality you
change "sbr_vlow" to "sbr_low", "sbr_med" or "sbr_high"

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin

2015-11-09 Thread Mausoleum

Hi,

I have started populating my Qobuz "Library". To my dismay, I noticed
that it is sorted in the order items were added, instead of some
reasonable order (e.g., by artist - album). Would it be possible to
have an option in this plugin to sort the library that way?

Thanks!
Martin

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin

2015-11-09 Thread auster

I have used MAI for artists pictures only. Albums covers I am managing
myself and they are placed to the album folders (folder which contains
album tracks) and named as folder.jpg. But some rare cases it would be
easier if album covers are locating in some common folder instead of
album folders.

So I did this:
1) I created a new folder: albumart
2) I added few covers to the albumart folder and renamed then like
folder.jpg --> Please don't touch.jpg, etc
3) I defined artwork folder for MAI
4) Full rescan

But it didn't work.

Settings for the Music & artist information:

Artists photos: Show pictures
Find artwork online during library scan : checked
Download missing cover art from online sources : unchecked
Download and pre-cache artist pictures from online sources : checked
Only download pictures for main artists, but not all contributors
(composers, conductors etc.) : unchecked
Artwork Folder: albumart
Folder with artist photos: artistpic

Am I missing something?

Older versions of the iPlayer plugin had a menu option that linked
direct to an opml file on Triodes depository.
Which would then give an additional 'Special Events' submenu

I'm guessing so that he could update it with 'specials' as they
happened.

I've attached another updated menu.opml file to use these larger 600x600
logos. Unzip and copy to the BBCiPlayer plugin directory - it's for the
alpha3 plugin only. The images do look much nicer at large scale on
now-playing displays.

This relies on somebody being told about the pop up stations ( did
anybody ask for the Eurovision popup station ?) and having to update
files. The hard part is finding out the URL before it starts
broadcasting. An alternative approach would be to process the vendor
feed of station URLs http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/imda/imda_transports.xml
which would result in a very comprehensive menu of all supported live
station formats combinations but it would be self maintaining as long as
BBC keep the feed up to date. User can go through the menu and then
pick a station to be a favorite.

My feeling is that "aod" is used to indicate stream supports seeks - not
sure what might happen if user presses ffwd/rew on the live stream set
as "aod".

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2015-11-09 Thread Michael Herger

Any idea why? Has something changed with Last.fm that I have missed?

Oh yes, they have indeed changed a lot. Their web site was broken for
days when they updated. And some of the API call work differently from
before. Eg. would return only one result instead of several for artist
searches etc. That said: I'm not familiar with the feature Triode uses
in the plugin. But I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Last.fm
changes had an impact on this plugin.
