Haven't enabled logging yet - always fills me with dread - last resort. The silence/stopping seems 'random' - but that's just my observation. HLS streams silence at about 19 mins. and the counter restarts in short 2-4 sec. bursts. mp3 stream silences but the counter keeps going. I've just tested mp3 streams stored on mysb.com - these played past 20 mins without interruption. Now testing new hls streams - not stored as favourites. Actually I don't think the error is related to the app's inability to find your servers. I think occasionally the networking subsystem gets in a state where the packet can't be sent. I've seen it once in while too, but it's not often. The server discovery problem is probably caused by the fact that the app doesn't use the "255.255.255.255" address to send the broadcast. Instead it iterates through the device's network interfaces and retrieves the broadcast address for each network. Maybe how your particular network is setup is not compatible with this process. The old version worked probably because it also checked if the Wifi subsystem had DHCP info, and if it did it would preferentially figure out the broadcast address from that. I took that out because it only worked if the device had Wifi and it was a bit redundant since the other method is supposed find all the addresses. Also it might have required an extra permission. I think I may just go back to the "255.255.255.255" method. It seems to be the most reliable way. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

You have a chain LMS- BBCiPlayer plugin - Squeeze2upnp player - Sonos You can log the BBCiPLayer HLS comms to BBC using WebGUI/Setting/Advanced/Logging/plugin.bbciplayer.hls to Info - this will indicate whether LMS is still feed audio to Squeeze2uPNP. This can be enabled at any time, You can enable Squeeze2uPNP player logging via the Squeeze2UNP plugin settings and the flag to add follows this -d =\tSet logging level, logs: all|slimproto|stream|decode|output|web|upnp|main|sq2mr and level can be Info debug or sdebug so I'd guess . -d upnp=debug would enable UPNP logging between squeeze2upnp and UPNP device such as SONOS. This flag only takes effect when squeeze2upp is started. What you want to see when there is silence if there is any activity between various apps. I have suggested look at BBCiPlayer HLS logging because it is easiest to do it shoudlprvide a hint which ends is stopping the flow. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Can this be used to recognise more tracks in the database, even if the tags are not perfect: http://echoprint.me/ Yes, I think this could somehow be an option. Unfortunately it would need to be compiled for all supported platforms. That's nothing I'd want to even start with... And then it would still need to be integrated into the plugin. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: SB Player, a software Squeezebox player app for Android.
I just tried using Fire TV as a standalone player using optical out to my Benchmark DAC. Still connected to my TV set I configured SB player to launch at Startup. Played some music over DAC - no problems. Then I disconnected from TV and rebooted the FTV. Ipeng found the player but I had no sound via optical anymore. Then again I connected HDMI to TV and playback was working again. Did anyone figure out a workaround to get things going without a HDMI connection at least once following booting? michel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4393 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98049 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
