... then reinstall Triode's app If I understand correctly, the Spotify Protocol Handler will not work when Triode's 3rd Party Spotify App has been installed. That's correct, because this plugin is a sub-set of Triode's. I have tried this new Spotify Protocol Handler as well as LMS 7.9 and just about every option and configuration in between - i can always see my playlists but when I start playing it just jams up, any interaction in the web interface just appears to restart the track but isn't actually playing anyway. And you did enter your credentials in the plugin's settings? What does the status say at the bottom of that page? Hi, for the last couple of weeks I have not been able to stream spotify on my raspberry pi running LMS (7.8). I am using Triodes Plugin and been working fine up till now. I gather Spotify's changes to the API may have caused issues here so not the plugins' / LMSs' fault. I have tried this new Spotify Protocol Handler as well as LMS 7.9 and just about every option and configuration in between - i can always see my playlists but when I start playing it just jams up, any interaction in the web interface just appears to restart the track but isn't actually playing anyway. One thing to note is that I am living outside of my Spotify country - I do have premium though and have no trouble streaming through the android app or through a web player. Is it correct that on the list of 3rd party plugins the author of "Spotify Protocol Handler" is "Michael Herger" while on the list of active plugins the authors "Triode, Michael Herger" are shown? A sincere thank you for building this plugin. Working great for me, so I don't have to replace my Receivers now and can maybe eke another couple of years out of them and my Squeezebox system. This is really the optimal design now for a Spotify plugin, leveraging the actual Spotify plugin for everything except the one required function that it can't do (the final play operation on SB using the supported library). I read that with the protocol handler plugin there will be no synced playback, i didnt try myself; but is that right? Where did you read this? It's one of the reason I'm using this plugin even in a pure Touch/Radio environment: it allows/improves syncing. Second thing is that since now I started my playlists by httprequest with the spotify URI; with the original plugin from Logitech i found no other way than to select it by the position in the playlist menu, wich is a problem everytime I add a new playlist. Has anyone found an other solution? Does your Spotify Protocol Handler only work on an Intel/AMD or ARM architecture (like Triode's plugin)? This plugin _is_ Triode's plugin, albeit stripped down. Whatever limitation applied to Triode's original work applies to this plugin, too. When I inspect the button in the original spotify plugin I saw a reference to the menu number in the playlist. I didn´t try, but I expected to get problems when I tell the server to play the 11th playlist in my spotify playlists and eventually create some new which are then put above the 11th so that it all gets mixed up. I know this is weird, but it has been quite convenient for the last years. I´ll do some testing tomorrow when i´m home alone, for I don´t want to lose the high WAF that I established in the past. I've launched -dev10 too. I used a new config. I still have this weird situation with the AE where the server resolves wap01.local to the ipv4ll address, and the connection is established but no sound comes out. I don't understand what's happening with this. It would be nice if the config allowed to define a preferred IP address, then I would force the plugin to use the (static) IPv4 address. Hi guys, I appreciate all the hard work to make spotify work on the LMS. I´m in quite a dilemma; my setup includes synced playback as well as automated selection of the spotify playlists by http request. I read that with the protocol handler plugin there will be no synced playback, i didnt try myself; but is that right? Second thing is that since now I started my playlists by httprequest with the spotify URI; with the original plugin from Logitech i found no other way than to select it by the position in the playlist menu, wich is a problem everytime I add a new playlist. I also have seen the LMS server log error "Decoder does not support file format, code 0" on occasions, sometimes several in a row. Once in a while my M1 CLiC renderer and sq2u get completely out of sync and I end up having to stop everything, powering down the renderer and restarting everything. The only clue I've got as to why is that I think it has sometimes occurred when I have previously been using a different server and UPnP Control Point to play on the renderer, and that it's possible the systems have interfered with eachother (which would be no surprise). LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to 405/2 amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 15.10 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver. Also a Touch with EDO, plus spare, unused.
