Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezeplay and Windows 10 pro 64 bit - No worky

2016-05-15 Thread dwl99

I have the same problem on a Pipo X8 tablet running Windows 10 Home
32-bit. Squeezeplay 7.8.0r328 installs but refuses to start. Whenever I
try to start it I just get a small icon appearing on the screen. I've
tried re-downloading it and several reinstalls. My device has Intel HD
graphics and I've updated the drivers to the latest version. Exactly the
same thing happens with JiveLite. I tried installing & running it in
Windows 10 safe mode with base video drivers but with the same result.

What MAC address have you assigned to the virtual player ? And do you a
MAC address assigned for squeezelite?

As I've said, I've set a mac address in the CastBridge settings for the
discovered chromecast audio player. And again, in every case, if I've
started the squeezelite instance before I start LMS, CastBridge never
registers a player with LMS. However, if I start LMS first, and then
start the squeezelite instance only after CastBridge has registered it's
discovered player, all is well.

Again, I'm willing to help debug this issue.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: Simple Library Views plugin

2016-05-15 Thread adhawkins

I've just release v0.99.1 of this plugin. The only real difference is
that the file can now be called either:

simple-library-views-libname

or

.simple-library-views-libname

This means that the library view files can now be 'hidden' when used on
a Linux OS.

@castalla:

The difference is that the config file for a. has the parameter
 set to 1 which forces flac to be sent to the player, even
if it does not report to accept such format. The config file b. does not
have that parameter set, so falc are transcoded by LMS into PCM and
because uncompressed format are set to "wav,aiff" and the Jongo does not
support wav or aiff (only raw pcm), then the playback fails

@cristalgipsy:

This seems to show that the Jongo accepst flac, although not
"officially" - this could solve the mistery we faced previously

Jongo definitely does not support Flac. I tried to send Flac to it via
their own app and will have none of it. Tbh I could not get PCM to play.
The spec on Pure website states it only supports aac,wma, and mp3. Set
it to have mp3 and aac only and it plays everything fine, albeit it has
to transcode to mp3.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)

2016-05-15 Thread philippe_44

The file is sent in PCM format, not in flac and what fails is the codec
matching. What do you have in 'uncompressed format' option ? In
understand that a. works and b. does not, but I think somebody else had
a similar problem and the issue was that the Jongo only supports raw PCM
and sq2u was configured to use wav only. Would you also mind making sure
you really use the same config file (post or PM then) and maybe post a
log with a. I'm sorry to have to ask you these extra checks, but
although a platform specific bug is not impossible during codec match
search, it's a bit unlikely

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*

> Let me know if I can help with testing.
Thx cramcram,

Well that would be excellent! I don't own a Boom or Classic so there's
no way for me to test what change to the package will do the trick, also
waiting for Synology to look into this issue might take some time ;)
We have two specific Synology Fixes/pachtes in the current code. 1
already is commited to the Slimserver base code, thanks to Michael. This
one is inside a specific Synology module. The other one is in
Slim::Utils::Misc

Code:

  sub getDirsPref {
  # SYNO_FIX begin
  return [ map { $_ } @{ $prefs->get($_[0]) || [''] } ];
  # SYNO_FIX
  # return [ map { Slim::Utils::Unicode::encode_locale($_) } @{
$prefs->get($_[0]) || [''] } ];
  # SYNO_FIX end
  }

In what way this one interferes with other commits after the 19th of
Januari, I don't know. As you probably know I'm not a coder and have to
make changes based on deduction. That's why I reverted the following
commit:
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/commit/db1361631ed29ca461cb25901b13b06ced883569

I build a new package for you to test without this specific commit.
Please let me know if this at least will stop the server from crashing.
If not, I will apply Michael's suggestion to remove the freefont module.

2016-05-15 Thread PasTim

Hi bpa,

I had this plugin installed, although I've not been using it for some
time since I only used it for the BBC iPlayer and there are other ways
to do that.

However, I note the google repo has now finally disappeared. I know you
have another repo at
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/repo-short.xml .
Are yoiu planning on making PlayHLS (and indeed wavin?) available there?
Or have I missed something.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Is it possible to stream BBC Radio DASH streams directly with VLC ?

2016-05-15 Thread PasTim

Yes, it is possible. If you play via iPlayer to a local device (or a
null audio device) you can monitor the stream with vlc and then stream
it out to LMS. At least, I can on linux.

On the source system, the vlc command I use is:

Code:

  cvlc pulse://null.monitor
:sout='#transcode{vcodec=none,acodec=mp3,ab=320,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:http{dst=:8081/laptop.mp3}'
 :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap

Other codecs are possible, but I found mp3 is easiest to get it working.
The first bit is the source audio device. The rest sends the mp3 to
port 8081, called laptop.mp3.

On the LMS server I have a playlist file called StreamLaptopmp3.m3u
containing:

Code:

  #EXTM3U
  #EXTINF:-1, Laptop mp3
  http://IP:8081/laptop.mp3

Where IP is the IP address of my laptop. For reasons I forget I put
this playlist under my Apache web server on my LMS server, and then have
a favourite in LMS pointing to

Code:

  http://127.0.0.1/playlists/StreamLaptopmp3.m3u

Thanks Philippe for testing my key. You figured out that my key was "not
active".

I am still puzzled. There is no way to "activate" or "deactivate" a key
at the Google API management site, as far as I see...

I regenerated the key, and entered the new key into the plugin settings
right after.

However, it does not work... So I enabled debug-logging, and here is
what is logged... (where "key" is of course replaced)

Thanks foru your help!
