hey michael. can you look at this thread i created please? it looks like your plug-in may be causing some log file issues which may be related to some skips i have in 192/24 files. turns out your plug in is running up the log file looking for information on the net that it isn't finding... TCP only is needed. Can you post a castbridge log of what happens when it fails? But this port should not matter though because it is only used for playback when the CC gets the audio track, it is not involved in the castbridge to LMS connection, so that does prevent the virtual player to appear in LMS list. Hallo I try to get it to run in my Synology NAS DS211+ with DMS 6.0 installed. I installed the official Synology LMS package (Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1453293926) and installed this plugin via the Plugins site in settings. I selected the proper binaries (see synology-wiki.de/index.php/Welchen_Prozessortyp_besitzt_mein_System%3F) but it is not starting. Even the Log shows only (it adds the same entry with each restart of LMS) > Starting Squeezelite: > /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/LocalPlayer/Bin/squeezelite-armv5te > -d all=debug -f /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Logs/localplayer.log Is there any way to figure out, why it's not starting? gharris999 wrote: > Quoting from my first post in this thread: > > > ...so yes, the firewall is already open for TCP on port 49152. Does it > need to be open for UDP on that port too? I don't know if both UDP and TCP are needed. However, if your system works when starting in one sequence and not the other, probably not. I know 49152 is the official main port. However, if there are multiple servers around it can be higher, which is why, if it works one way round, I suggested incrementing the number. I spent a stupid amount of time trying to get ports sorted out on my system, and ended up opening rather more than I care to admit publicly. Suffice to say than in my view a great deal more than 49152 needs to be open (1900, 5431 and 80 may also be needed). A short trial with an open firewall can at least tell you if the problem is in the ports or not. If you don't like doing that (who does?) then inspect the firewall log and see if anything is being blocked. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 16.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps.
