What is "significantly" ? Is it twice as slow or just abotu 8% slowers
(i.e. 44.1/48) ?

If you are trying to play as PCM - then you will have a problem as LMS
will by default use 44.1Khz as PCM does not have any header to tell
player to use 48Khz.
What sort of player are you using ? Has it been modded (e.g. 48Khz
crystal disabled) ?

Put all Filetype for AAC settings back to default as LMS shipped. To
ind the problem you can enable logging player.source to DEBUG and you
will see in the server.log how LMS picks the trasncodign rules to
apply.
make sure BBCiPlayer "allow transcoding" setting is checked.

Nope.
That is a a plain Shourtcast http/MP3 44.1kHz stream. LMS tells you MP3
the stream info.
LMS cannot play DASH without a plugin.

Is it possible to combine the functions of both these plugns? I have

That's a pity so i have to choose between saying goodby to my beloved

Hey Videopac,
such is life living on the bleeding edge of ARM64. For what I'm doing I
should have gone with a Pi just for the support as I'm no coding geek.
Why are you wanting jivelite? I'm running mine headless and the only
thing missing is bluetooth audio streaming so I can stream from my phone
as well if I couldn't be bothered firing up my LMS server. DietPi
doesn't seem to care about being shut down gracefully as I never do. It
powers on and off with my speakers.

I don't know - I'm just trying to get BBC listen again working and I

Getting rid of LMS and reloading it seems like a good idea. Although I

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00

2017-01-22 Thread Gadgety1

Very low activity here. I have a few questions.

1. Is this plugin still active?

Let's see if I understood how it functions, and whether my planned setup
would work. I want to use this for movies because my integrated
amplifier only has coax SPDIF in. A Squeezebox Receiver is connected to
the amp. I have a professional sound card PCI-E in a PC.

2. Since sound will be looped back and then sent to the Squeezebox (I
plan to do so over Wifi), I assume I can connect the soundcard, but I
won't have to add any cabling. Is my assumption correct?

3. The soundcard and the movies are on a remote PC. I plan to send the
film to another PC, which is too crowded to mount the soundcard. This
will do processing with madVR and be connected to the TV. Sound will be
sent over wifi to the Squeezebox, connected to the amp. Provided the
wifi can handle it, is this a feasible set up?

4. Alternatively I could send the movie and the sound to the second PC,
and then have it distribute the audio to the Receiver over RJ45. Perhaps
a better alternative, but this second PC won't have the Sound card, so I
believe this makes it impossible to stream the sound via this PC?

Lipsync may be an issue. Probably not the only challenge. So, could any
of these set ups be feasible?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)

2017-01-22 Thread Mnyb

Well things are working now after some fumbling around .

I recommend to reserve the devices ip in the router as the built in
fixed ip settings somewhats breaks DNS it could for example not install
the VNC plugin in this mode . and did not find all repos for upgrades
(it did find some )

The password plugin is not working properly from any web-browser i tried
. pi and root password can be changed with passwd and you always have su
or sudo . you can only acess as the pi user and then do su.
This is probably a good feature but i wanted to replace the default
paswwords for obvious reasons there must be millions of them with
user=pi password=raspberry and the root password max2play is easilly
googled.

Otherwise its playing music :)

Anyone having a clue about the syntax for squeezelite settings in
max2play i studied the squeezelite manpage but it does not contain
practical examples so one can understand the syntax just a bunch < > :
etc that does not mean much without context.

I did try "-r 96" I want to limit squeezelite to 96k because the HT
processor cant take more , not a big issue as i only have maybe 10
albums in 192k ( I do try to avoid them if I can ).

I'll try the Kodi feature next
