DrewSB wrote: > Thanks Phillipe. Is this a new requirement in Shairtunes? Would it > explain why it used to work? Yes and no. AFAIK, the requirement from Apple to have this indicator has always been there and when I forked the ShairTunes development, I added various things, including fixing some of the issues with pause/resume that was not working well, depending on the source (iTunes, iPhone <9, recently AirFoil) and recent fixes required using that 12st frame indicator. Usually when I'm developping something, I'm trying to stricly respect the specifications, and not add the loose workaround otherwise it's an insentive for bad implementations which ultimately hurt everybody and destroy the standard. That does not mean that I did not do a mistake in my own understanding, so if you are in contact with the Thunderbite developer, could you suggest him to have a look at the links I sent? In my experience and what I've implemented in my AIrPlay bridge, there is always that 1st audio/1st sync indicator but he might have a different opinion as well. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
Hi, I had been using TuneBlade on Windows to airplay the system audio to ShairTunes on LMS on Ubuntu. It worked great. Recently my Ubuntu server died and I rebuilt it. Now TuneBlade to ShairTunes does not work any more. The TuneBlade version has not changed. The ShairTunes version is 0.60. Some observations: - ShairTunes does work with a real iOS device (iPad mini). - TuneBlade says it is streaming bytes to ShairTunes. The TuneBlade developer says that the log files don't show anything wrong. - The play timer runs in LMS when I "connect" with TuneBlade - No metadata appears in LMS when I connect with TuneBlade, unlike when I connect with iOS. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? DASH is not working properly now for on demand. Force plugin to use HLS by changing preference to "HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC". THis will probably cause problems with Extra as it uses DASH and Flash - I have done no testing on it. I haven't tested "Live" but if same problem arise - change live preferences as well - this will cause probably problems for Windows based LMS servers. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

BBC have changed and I think they want non UK users to play at 48kbps - in the browser they dynamically change down from 96000 to 48000. As a workaround in the setting "Bitrate for on demand" to "use lowest " The plugin would need ot be updated to support dynamic chnageing of bitrate (which is a feature of DASH but I didn't implement it as it is coimplicated) bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
