You should power off (or clean the playlist of) the "virtual" player in
LMS to make sure that no Kodi-based action will be fed back to LMS

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Google Music plugin

2017-02-20 Thread srasher

Really strange. But maybe I am "missing" something else. Because the
error messages I get in the log file look slightly different than the
ones in the ProtocolHandler fix discussion on GitHub. I get the
following two lines for each file I

[17-02-20 23:10:34.4703] Slim::Formats::RemoteStream::open (106) Can't
open socket to
[r3---sn-4g5e6nez.c.doc-0-0-sj.sj.googleusercontent.com:443]: 22:

[17-02-20 23:10:34.4709] Slim::Player::Song::open (471) Warning: stream
failed to open [googlemusic:track:T5o4cms4li65pwu6ig3xiunas7u].

One thing that just came to my mind: I switched my ISP (from T-Online to
Unitymedia in Germany) a few months ago. Although I can't really say if
I ever used the plugin successfully after that switch. Could it be that
the connection itself is somehow "blocked"? As additional data points:

- Searching through GPM All-Inclusive is working perfectly fine from
LMS, just playback doesn't work.
- I can stream from GPM in my home network on mobile devices as well as
on my main PC through browser interface.

I tried to search Google for those messages but didn't get very far,
maybe because I am just not understanding the topic enough.

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,
Seb

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Success: MusicIP and Spicefly Sugarcube running on Raspberry Pi

2017-02-20 Thread srasher

Hi Frank,

I finally got to trying this out. Unfortunately it didn't work as
seemlessly as I had hoped.

First, I am trying this on a max2play installation on an Odroid U3.
I had put different lines to the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/i386.list. As
the max2play installation on the Odroid is not based directly on
Debian/Raspian Jessie, but refers to an ubuntu port of Trusty Tar, I had
to put

deb [arch=i386] http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty main
restricted universe multiverse
deb [arch=i386] http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates main
restricted universe multiverse
deb [arch=i386] http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-security main
restricted universe multiverse

Before I was trying to use your lines in that file. binfmt-support and
qemu-user installed fine, but for the installation of the libc6:i386 I
got tons of dependency errors, referring to all kinds of base system
tools and libs that I didn't specify to install. Looked like it was
trying to do a kind of dist-upgrade from trusty to jessie or something
like this.

After finding those three lines referring to trusty, libc6:i386
installed fine.

When I am then trying to start the MusicMagicServer I get the following
error message

/home/odroid/Software/Squeezebox/musicip/MusicIP/MusicMagicMixer/MusicMagicServer:
1:
/home/odroid/Software/Squeezebox/musicip/MusicIP/MusicMagicMixer/MusicMagicServer:
Syntax error: "(" unexpected

And that's where I am stuck. As this is an executable it looks like the
binfmt-support doesn't kick in, although when I try to start it with

sudo /etc/init.d/binfmt-support start

it states that it has already been started.

I am pretty confident that the file is not corrupted from the download.
There is only one Linux related download on the page you referred to and
all the human readable files in the MusicIP archive look fine.

Is there any hint anyone can give me? I am a little bit lost when it
comes to qemu/binfmt related stuff and only tried to follow the Howto as
close as possible.

Thanks in advance for any bit of help, cheers,
Seb

I did the steps for MusicIp installation only (not Spicefly at the
moment) and it's apparently working well, I can have Musicip mixes, but
I have a few problems with LMS, I don't know if it's related with
MusicIP: it seems slower than before and the scanning crashes during the
artist picture lookup. I restarted LMS and had the same. Then I stopped
the mm server and ran a new scan. It finished normally.
Are you having the same problem ? do you thing it's related with the
MusicIp server ? I also have some problems with the dynamic playlist

The option to 'support gapless' playback should be present on the
section for your player. It means that there is no gap between 'tracks'
because the player can receive and process the start of the next one
before the current one finishes. Whether changing this setting will
help you I have no idea. Hopefully philippe can help.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce - Song info plugin for FIP radio

2017-02-20 Thread Paul Webster

As an example - with logging enabled in LMS for the RadioFrance plugin -
I just did a search from LMS UI for "FIP Autour du Jazz" - and I then
played it.
It played
http://chai5she.cdn.dvmr.fr/fip-webradio2.mp3
which was redirected from
http://direct.fipradio.fr/live/fip-webradio2.mp3
which is exactly the same URL as given in the PDF - which shows
FIP autour du jazz WEBRADIO
http://direct.fipradio.fr/live/fip-webradio2.mp3

There is nothing wrong with using the PDF - but, from my testing, it
goes to the same place as LMS via TuneIn.

There /might/ be some cases where TuneIn returns more than one stream
URL and LMS plays the lo-fi version - although I don't see that
happening here.
So I think that most people will find it easier to use the built-in
search function in LMS, especially if they don't come to the forum and
happen to find the PDF.
If one day in the future we lose access to TuneIn then having the direct
URLs will, of course, be very useful.

I'm working either with LMS through web browser to set URLs for
Favorites and thence to the SB3 interface. Not "command line". So what
URL do I use to get those 192k feeds? And/or are you implying that it's
still better to go in via TuneIn?

Well, given that the mobile plays the file just fine on its own, that
Squeeze Player does too, and SB Player doesn't, it seems it really is

In the total scheme of things it is a minor annoyance, but an annoyance

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists plugin not showing my own playlists on RPi

2017-02-20 Thread Antoniop

Hi all,
I recently installed the last version of LMS on a raspberry PI. It works
quite well, even MusicIp is now available thanks to Frankd.
Nevertheless, I've got a problem with Dynamic Playlists plugin: I made
my own playlists in a dedicated group, but they are not listed.
I suspect a problem related to SQLPlaylist, because when I click on this
item, nothing happens. Maybe some Perl module is missing ?

Skip back on "Live" is through the More menu and not FFW ">>" or REW
(<<)". LMS uses FFW/REW for streams with a defined duration. In 1.5.*
I tried as a UI test, I overlaid the FFW and REW with skip back and skip
forward but there some situations where LMS beahviour was confusing
which some users found unsatisactory so it was decided to to stick to
"More" menu items as functionality was then clear and separate.

Understand completely.

Skip back does not seem to work on the touch or radio though if you use
the << button, only through the menu option or web control. Pressing
the << button just re-starts the stream at current position.

I am neither of both. I am running 7.9 nightly (maybe not the most
recent version, but updated ~1.5 weeks ago), via max2play on an Odroid
U3. The issue that should be fixable by the HTTPS-mod occured several
weeks ago, but I wasn't able to fix it with the mod. So currently I
don't have it working at all. As I am only using it as a backup or in
case my wife or a visiting friend wants to listen to something we don't
have in our local library, it is not very urgent, which is why I didn't
try to dig deeper or ask for debugging help so far. But as you are
asking, I would really like to have it sorted out ;-)

I am not wholly convinced - the toilet break can be addressed now using
the "skip back x minutes" menu. Every new setting requires coding,
testing and reviews but by far biggest effort is maintenance and testing
on every subsequent update.

It still could be the mobile since Squeeze Player may use a different

Purely because, as mentioned elsewhere the radio only has a pause button
so it would allow some flexibility. Say i wanted to pause for a maximum
of 10 minutes (ie toilet break) but after that it would stop.

This is an entirely selfish reason as it suits how I use the radio in
particular so can be ignored, especially as it seems no-one else would
find it useful!

If you can, use the stop/start on LMS (the web interface, or whatever
you use to manage LMS), not the Kodi. If I recall correctly, using the
controls on the player can cause problems.

LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 16.04, FLACs 16->24 bit,
44.1->192kbps.

Wireless Xubuntu 16.04 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with
Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
Also a Touch with EDO, plus spare, unused.

my savior!
package installed and showing audio:: scan: 0.95 again
scanning in progress will let you know the content of the media db in a
few hours, I feel optimistic at this point since the scan counts the DSF
files in my DSD directory

-Discovering files/directories: /volume1/Music/DSD/DSD_Classique (9396
of 9396) Complete 00:00:09

Scanning new music files: /volume1/Music/DSD/DSD_Classique (103 of
8753) Running 00:00:13-

Hi all. First, sorry for my bad english. Help me to configure Bridge
plugin.
I have a problem with pause/resume music. I use Kodi on my RaspberryPI,
and play music from LMS to Kodi through bridge plugin. So, when I pause
playing music and watch movie, after the movie finish, music continue
play from next track. If I press STOP on my Kodi remote (Yatse), also
music continue play from next track. Help me please, how to avoid this?
