Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
If you don't have a lot of music in the root folder, try just doing a full rescan. Browse Music Folder does NOT use the database. You should even ben able to use it without ever having run a scan. Maybe server.log would tell you more? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

But lossless is always preferable over lossy. Therefore PCM/FLAC is preferred over MP3. I have a test server with a bunch of music in the root folder and just two sub-folders and the "Music Folder" list in Squeeze Ctrl was not working correctly. A full rescan didn't help. So I moved a lot of the music into multiple sub-folders, did another full rescan, and "Music Folder" worked fine after that. I think LMS either has problems with having a lot of music in the root folder, or some of the music had conflicting tags that were confusing the server. Incidentally after moving the music into sub-folders, the rescan ran a lot faster, which kind of confirms that problem was with having all the music in the root folder. If you don't have a lot of music in the root folder, try just doing a full rescan. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Hi, recently the behaviour when trying to access specific folders through the "Music Folder" option has changed, don't know in which version though. What happens is 1. click "Music Folder" 2. all folders and all files in the root folder are listed 3. clicking on another folder to further drill down just opens a pop-up with the root files, instead of going into that subfolder. It used to be different. Is that intentional, or could you please revert/fix that? :-) LMS 7.9 and 7.9.1, Pixel XL with 7.1.2 Thanks, Markus markus.schloesser's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67011 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Google Music plugin
Unless I'm overlooking something (very possible) there's been no mention of this issue in this thread: when using this plugin, some Google tracks exit early, skipping to the next track in the playlist instead of playing to the end. For reference, it's been mentioned in the issues for this plugin and for LMS. (I attempted to post links to the relevant discussions, but this is my first post, so that's not allowed (for good reasons). It's issue 19 on the github site for squezebox-googlemusic and issue 130 on the github site for slimserver.) I've been experiencing the issue in LMS 7.9.0. Based on what I've seen in those threads, it appears to affect 7.9.1 and 7.8.x as well, So I assume the only solution currently available is to roll back to LMS 7.7.x. I'd welcome any comments or advice from those who know more than I do -- just about everybody -- before I take the plunge. FWIW, I'm running LMS on Debian X86_64. I have a Squeezebox Radio that is rarely used. Mostly I'm using squeezelite on the same machine as the server, usually with synchronized with another squeezelite running on Linux Mint X86_64. Many thanks to this community and the devs! I've been reading this forum and finding answers to my questions more than three years. This is the first time I've felt the need to post a question of my own.
