Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0

2017-07-17 Thread jinja

First off thank you.

Originally using VB2.3 with no joy - upgrade to VB2.4 and works straight
away.

My question, though small, is there a timezone or clock setting that
Spotty uses to identify users timezone and propose playlists.

Spotify used to identify when it was nighttime and accordingly propose
sleepy playlists, though this has now shifted so Spotty is proposing
sleepy playlists in the middle of the day and morning playlists in the
evening.

I am in Australia so can only presume Spotty is accounting for everyone
being in Europe based on the suggested playlists?

Anyway not a big issues (or really an issue at all) though may be
something interesting to look into.

I just installed LmsRepack on my Synology DS216J with Marvell Armada 385

busy and install it on yours.

You also need to install the additional file system tools. Half way down

Quick note on this part: if you're on 64-bit Windows, you might think
you need to install the 64-bit version of the VC 2015 runtime. If
you're still getting the missing vcruntime140.dll error, go back and
download the 32-bit (x86) version of the installer from Microsoft.

Other than that hiccup for me, the Spotty migration went perfectly for
me. Thanks!

You need to install LMS. First thing though is to "expand the file
system", button on main page I think. Can't check because this button
disappears once you've expanded the file system.

Can you see an LMS tab? If not, on the main page at the bottom, click on
the "Beta" tab, (heeding warning), you should then see an LMS page where
you can install LMS.

Hi Will, and thank you for your helpful advice and comments. I have made
a start and my progress is detailed below:

I have downloaded piCorePlayer, copied it to SD and used it to boot my
pi (early version). I have a video monitor on the pi indicating that the
start-up seemed to complete successfully. The last line states "Finished
piCorePlayer setup". The pi IP address is 192.168.0.18 but, when
examined with my browser, I find that the LMS is not running. Why is
this and how do I configure the pi for LMS duties? My intention is to
upgrade to a pi3 when I have proved the system works.

I much appreciate your advice!
Cheers, Malcolm

you say you have

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/V154testrelease-repo.xml

in the repository box on the settings plugin page.

if so, go to the top of the page and uncheck the iPlayer tick box.

click apply and restart LMS.

Return to the bottom of the page and the plugin should be listed afresh,
tick the box and click on apply and restart LMS.

go to the web gui page and refresh the page, the flac stream should now
show if you navigate to Listen Live

There are no Flac on demand programs.
Change the On-Demand setting back to include FlashAAC as well as Flac if
you are using Extra plugin.

Hi, will add SqueezeMe, though Squeezebox might not work as Amazon
guidelines indicate that you canot re-use the invocation name in slots.

For alpha testing, you need a developer account. Once we get to beta
testing, this will change as we'll use the skill egta test environment.

Which playlists?

I drag & drop my playlists into alphabetical order using the Spotify
desktop interface, they then show alphabetically in LMS.

I think you will only see the FLAC streams for live programs. When you
click on live then Radio 3 FLAC will appear directly below Radio 3.

Yes, it is - Home > Spotty > Account > Select Account

This is a per player setting. There's nothing to stop your children
selecting other accounts, if they decide to, though.

It can be done from either the LMS web interface, or the player itself.

I use a Spotify Family service, with four accounts, and it works very
well with Spotty. We're all very, very happy with it.

Hope this helps.

Stephen.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty and Family Account - Assign User to player?

2017-07-17 Thread Rainer Krug
Hi

I am contemplating a family subscription for spotify, but would like to know
one thing in advance: is it possible to assign a member of the family to one
player, i.e. that children only live with their player in their “spotify world
(favourites, playlists, …) and do not populate other playlists with their music?

Thanks,

Rainer

Have you tried running squeezleite with the following options
"squeezelite -r 44100 -R X" - IIRC it requires Squeezelite to resample

2017-07-17 Thread epoch1970

I am using a stupidely contrived ALSA config on squeezelite players and
it is locked to 16/44.1.
Squeezelite reports maxrate 44100, this works for audio files but not
for iPlayer.
Currently when I send an iplayer stream to a player, I hear a short
squeaky sound and then the machine crashes completely... I would really
like not to lose the ability to use the plugin, but I haven't find a way
of making my ALSA config compatible with this one extra requirement.
I am using the non-uk stream and mostly on-demand replays, FWIW.
