Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
I’m using spotty 1.9.4 and LMS 7.9.1 I do get the warning in player settings for spotty. I can log to the qnap using a terminal window, but what should I test manually? Go to Settings/Information to find out where LMS is looking for the files (there's a section about the helper binaries). Log in to your NAS, change to Spotty's Bin/i386-linux folder (or similar), and try to run the various binaries you find in there. And please report what ll * file * gives. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SugarCube and MusicIP for music mixing
ok so now that I updated to 7.9.1 and I am looking at my log files in SSOTS a lot I see a ton of errors in musicip and spicefly. I am have my LMS installed on my NAS (QNAP 219P+). so conceptually I thought the way this worked is that MusicIP scanned your files and added a lot of additional information into the file to use for mixing. Then Spicefly uses that information to create mixes. Looks like my mixes are created randomly from the genre. I know I don't have music ip application installed on the qnap because I have already analyzed the music. Do I have to have the applicaiton the analyzed my music actually running and pointed to the LMS via the options? I thought just having MusicIP as a plugin and the music analyzed was good enough? 0417: Adding Track; The Bird 0416: [17-09-26 17:34:38.2093] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::gotErrorContinue (659) 0415: Random Track Selected matching Current Playing Genre;R 0414: [17-09-26 17:34:38.2071] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::gotErrorContinue (658) 0413: Insert into Database: Say Yes by Asha Puthli 0412: [17-09-26 17:34:37.9101] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::randompuller (492) 0411: Get Random Track but block Artist 0 plus 0 plus 0 0410: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8857] Plugins::SugarCube::Breakout::getRandom (20) 0409: Currently Playing Genre; R 0408: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8833] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::randompuller (489) 0407: Currently Playing; file:///share/Multimedia/Music/Anderson%20Paak/Malibu/01%20The%20Bird.flac 0406: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8812] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::randompuller (488) 0405: file:///share/Multimedia/Music/Anderson%20Paak/Malibu/01%20The%20Bird.flac 0404: LMS Reported Track Playing; 0403: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8763] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::randompuller (484) 0402: Keeping music playing requesting (from LMS) a Random Track matching the Current Playing Tracks Genre 0401: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8717] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::gotErrorContinue (633) 0400: MUSICIP FAILED 0399: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8641] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::gotErrorContinue (631) 0398: Check API Service is Running 0397: MUSICIP RETURNED NOTHING 0396: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8619] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::gotErrorContinue (630) 0395: MUSICIP FAILED 0394: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8574] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::gotErrorContinue (627) 0393: 0392: http://localhost:10002/api/mix?=tracks=15%3d%2Fshare%2FMultimedia%2FMusic%2FAnderson%20Paak%2FMalibu%2F01%20The%20Bird.flac=100=5 0391: Built URL Request for MusicIP: 0390: [17-09-26 17:34:37.8447] Plugins::SugarCube::Plugin::ArrayLoop (667) 0389: file:///share/Multimedia/Music/Anderson%20Paak/Malibu/01%20The%20Bird.flac 0388: Insert into Database Playing Track: LMS 7.9.1 on QNAP 219P+ 3 wired Touch End Points Jolida Tube DAC III Marantz 2270 to Boston Acoustics Slimlines Marantz 7010 to B CM10 S2 dhallag's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30845 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106276 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If i press play again then, spotty stops for some seconds (buffering) and goes on after that. - When i play a spotify-playlist on my radio the squeezebox playlist contains only one song. Thats no problem as long as i don't skip to the next song. When i press skip it jumps to the next song in the spotify playlist but then it repeates only the same song for ever. Then it happens that the squeezebox fills the playlist with other songs that are not on the original spotify-playlist (perhaps "Don't stop the music"). Even then, with a populated playlist, its still only repeating one song... mrMuppet's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34722 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107615 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When converting a stream the system could not properly set the length in the wav header, so it guess a max value. Many tools (SOX and libsoxr included) uses a value that correspond to 20min of 44100 Hz/16 bit /2 channel, after that limit the simply stops. We faced thi problem during the development of C-3PO plugin and squeezelite-R2, we asket to the SOX mantainer to solve it but with no chance, then we added the solution in the mansr version (the one DSD capable). Now you could replace SOX with a modified one (https://audiodigitale.eu/repo/sox/) and use a modified version of squeezelite (https://github.com/marcoc1712/squeezelite-R2/releases) to solve this problem. I'm running Debian Jessie on > X86_64. As you asked me in the "Google music plugin" thread in the "General discussion" sub forum: I am actually running max2play on an Odroid U3 server (LMS 7.9 nightly, but haven't updated to the latest version of that for ~5 weeks). I didn't use max2play's GPM installer but installed it the manual way as described on askvictor's github site. At some point it stopped working for me. I didn't get the skipping and prematurely finishing tracks, it just didn't playback anymore at all. It showed to start some playback but would just go back the start of the initial track without playing any sound after 1-5 seconds. Initially I tried to solve the issue with the fix described here: https://github.com/hechtus/squeezebox-googlemusic/issues/102 But that didn't solve it. I also tried a complete re-installation of the plugin (first removing it as completely as I could), but that also didn't help. Then I found those comments that disabling IPv6 (in your router/network config) would fix it, and that solved it for me. I didn't revert the fix described in the link above, so it's not totally clear if the IPv6 fix or a combination of both fixed the issue. I know this isn't extremely helpful as your earlier posts in this thread indicate that you tried those fixes already. But maybe it at least gives you some confidence that the issue can be solved without max2play's installer update... Cheers, Seb "The only word I know is 'Grunt' - and I can't spell it" (R.I.P. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
What I find is that the tracks always cut out at about the 20 mark. If I play the same music through my computer's speakers, i.e. not using LMS, there's no problem as far as I can see. And if I play the same music from a file on my system, i.e. not using Qobuz, it plays fine! So I guess the problem is with the Qobuz app. Check your power savings settings on the server. It might go into standby mode due to inactivity? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hello I've been listening to some very long tracks streaming through Qobuz - I mean single tracks lasting over 40 minutes (music by Morton Feldman) What I find is that the tracks always cut out at about the 20 mark. If I play the same music through my computer's speakers, i.e. not using LMS, there's no problem as far as I can see. And if I play the same music from a file on my system, i.e. not using Qobuz, it plays fine! I always customise my home by moving Spotty to the home screen. Every time I update Orange Squeeze I have to redo this. Is there any way Orange Squeeze can remember customisations between versions? This morning retested and SBRadio (wifi), SB Boom (wifi), SB2 (wired), RPi3-PCP3.20beta5-Squeezelite v1.8.6-945 (wired) are working ok with spotty now. SB Player on android and RPi3-OSMC+squeezelite (not sure how to determine version) on rpi both are stuttering. For the RPi with OSMC i noticed the follow line in server.log almost continously; [17-09-26 09:22:05.9450] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (443) b8:27:eb:fc:ad:ed: request not dispatchable! rebooted the osmc box and now it's working ok. Still almost every second the line [17-09-26 09:52:35.6171] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (443) b8:27:eb:fc:ad:ed: request not dispatchable! in the server.log. What could be causing this? Strange part is that after rebooting the OSMC RPi also the Android SB PLayer is working normal? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
Hi Michael - BTW, I had to do the same on Shairtunes2 with my mDNS processes (one per player). Any idea why sometimes the player deletion callback does not seem to be called? I've had this problem only on Linux, not on Windows (for once ...) I think in Spotty's case it's my using pipes in the command: the pid stored in the Proc::Background object isn't spotty's, but the shell's. That shell is killed correctly, but spotty (and pv) stay alive. I'm not sure whether this is expected behaviour or not... Are you using Proc::Background, too? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
To make it work I have to pause the playing song in the first 5 sec (in spotify app) . Otherwise the song is skipped. But if I press pause the song beginns to 2-3 sec after I pressed pause. Did you re-compile the latest spotty helper? This sounds a lot like some of the issues I've seen with 1.9.3. Make sure you are running the latest and greatest of everything :-). If that doesn't help, then run LMS with plugin.spotty=info logging options to see what's going on. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0
I'm searching for a possibility to (re)start Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime without rebooting the system. You can't start a library. It's being used by the spotty.exe file and loaded when that executable is being run. I'm running latest LMS with Spotty on a Windows 2011 Server problem is I get frequently the message: There has been a problem running the Spotty helper application. Please make sure you have the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime (32-bit!) installed on your system. MVR is installed but somehow it quits of doesn't starts correctly. Are you sure you've got the right version installed? There are many different VC runtime libraries. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
