I know it has been suggested and I also laid out some of the
consequences which land at my door.

1. If you delete the 1.3 from the current - AFAICT at next startup the
user current 1.3 BBCiPlayer (which if patched will be providing Listen
again and live) will be automatically removed and disappear.
2. if an update is done - some users may not be supported. If a user is
using 1.3 then are likely to be using LMS 7.7.* which I don't support
3. If an update is done to say 1.5 , then there may be conflicting
update notices between default plugin and users who have steadfastly
remained on 1.4 (12 download in last week)

Either way there may be a burst of frustrated users wondering why their
beloved BBC has broken and why was it done and how to fix it.

The present situation means there is only the occasional user with a
problem.

Hi BoomX2 and thanks for your quick and positive reply!

I've just startet to explore the possibilities for displaying weather
data as a screensaver on my Radios and Touch when they're turned off, in
addition to date and time, which I find to be very useful. However, I'm
a little lost and confused by the number of forum threads with different
working and not-working-that-well-anymore solutions, with their vast
number of posts, because of the apparent popularity of this subject.

I'm glad to see confirmed that this very solution i a still functioning
one, but may I humbly and politely ask you to please point me in the
direction of some of those decent working screen layouts you mentioned
and how to get started?

Best regards, Vegz78

Thanks. I'll reinstall (though, FWIW, I haven't encountered any problems

On an unrelated note -- I have never been able to get "Copy Song Info"

2018-01-08 Thread Vegz78

Hi, pippin, and thanks for a great remote control app on the iPhone and
iPad!

It's probably the most used app on all our phones every day.

However, I've got one feature request regarding image viewing through
iPeng, for instance photos hosted by the Picture Gallery or the Image
Browser/UPnP/DLNA plugin.

Would it be possible swipe on to the next or previous image from the
image selected? Today it behaves kind of awkwardly, with the thumb nails
list in each folder opening twice in a row, and each picture has to be
opened and closed individually before a new picture can be chosen etc.

Keep up the good work!

Yea, that never saw a lot of love and I think the menus for the picture
gallery (provided by the server) are not the most sophisticated as well.

But quite frankly: iPeng is a music app, not a universal media browser
and I’m a bit reluctant to put much work into such generic stuff.

I plan to improve music related image an metadata viewing a lot but
generic ... I‘m afraid that’s pretty low on my list of priorities.

With the exception of some repeated tracks the mixes seem OK. IMO this
now needs 2 major changes:

- a way to limit the number of repetitions. Spicefly SugarCube, the
best MusicIP implementation for LMS allows for several weighting
  options24340
- it should use the last track of the current playlist in stead of the
first. This would allow for a more "meandering" selection throughout
