Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.5.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox

2018-10-14 Thread Michael Herger

Thanks. It's a Synology DS216+II, which has a Celeron N3060 and a
Linux-based OS. It's pretty capable.

Should definitely be good enough. How much memory? Are you running lots
of other services on it?

I turned on debug logging, and watching the log, I see that every time
there's a silence, it gives a cache purge message:

Code:

 Plugins::Spotty::Plugin::purgeAudioCacheAfterXTracks (442) Played 4
song(s) since last audio cache purge.

That's odd, as this usually should be a quick check with nothing to do.
In particular as long as that number is lower than 5...

Would you know how to ssh in to your box? If so, could you please "ls
-al" the content of the spotty subfolder inside LMS' cache folder (see
Settings/Information)?

Not to my knowledge. This is the "player" that I load inside the CC and
I would need to customize it which is a pain and I don't feel like doing
currently (I did that a while ago and I'd need to find again how to
build & register such receiver @ google - maybe later)

I've updated your radio CCH file to match what I did on the touch
version. It is attached in the file named "Phred-BMX2 5 Day Color WC
Weather Details - radio.txt"

I also made an attempt to mimic more closely what you started with in
your WU version. The file named " Phred-BMX2-a 5 Day Color WC Weather
Details - radio.txt" starts the rotating forecasts with either "Today"
or "Tonight" depending on the time of day. Then it proceeds through the
next 4 days.

A couple of caveats on the data displayed in the lower right section for
the first period:
1 - "Today" or "Tonight" is displayed instead of the date;
2 - Only the forecast high or low temp is displayed instead of both.

There's no silence when it actually does the cache cleanup, only when it
does that check in the middle of a song.

Just sent the log.

Thank you Roland0 for this great Interface.
What I lack compared to the standard interface are two things:
1) the ability to browse the library by folder (or is somewhere? I
cannot find it!)
2) access to the Tidal plugin
Is there a possibility that these features will be added?

OK, went back and also created an API key and entered that in the plugin
settings. I had to redo the oAuth authentication but it now appears to
work

The first post descriptors how to get an API key which is needed. Then
if you want to access your account you need to do that other step with
Oauth.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)

2018-10-14 Thread fredbloggs

I imagine this is already in this post somewhere but it is quite long.

I have followed the instructions on the plugin page (v0.70) and have got
as far as authorising the code (took about 15 minutes before a code
would appear), however am unsure what to enter in the 'YouTube API
access key' at the top.

I have used the same code as the client id, but when I do a search I get
no return and if I search 'my subscriptions' then I get an error 'Oauth
configuration missing, please see YouTube plugin settings'

If I look at the credentials for my API I can see the settings created
listed under oAuth 2.0 credentials.

Where amI going wrong? (suspect the youtube API access key settings)
