The two first pionts is already there . Given that you use one album one folder . Ie artist/album/track LMS uses the embedded art in the first track of an album then it loks in the album folder for folder.jpg or front.jpg or cover.jpg then i think it uses whatever it can find . But it does not go over or above this . Then there is a plugin that downloads cover art for you or is it standard nowadays :) sometimes i dont remener whats a plugin or a standard feature. Well - I updated to the latest Shairtunes on my ancient XP laptop that has sat flawlessly feeding my sqeezeboxes for the last few years. LMS didn't restart, so I dug the laptop out from behind the settee where it lives to see what was going on. I couldn't get LMS to start - and I noticed that all my screen icons (which is not many as this laptop is dedicated to LMS) were greyed out. Nothing to do with the Shairtunes update obviously, but very strange all the same. :confused: I ended up going back to a restore point a couple of months back to get my icons back, and still LMS would not start. It complained about a software conflict, but didn't list what the conflict was. So, I've ditched the old bugger, as it's probably time anyway, and I have a little 10" Linx laptop with W10 on it. Installed the latest LMS on to it, and Installed Shairetunes. ALL WORKING - Simple as that - I've spent weeks messing about with an old laptop, when a £100 W10 tablet (with keyboard in this case) does the job just fine. Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you. Everything is possible. Remember 50 Years ago we (The Americans with the help of some Germans) get two Man to the Moon. To get these 2 to the moon another one has to stay near the moon and + 400.000 must work a long time for that. So Earland does a lot of very stressed plugins and all these tricks might work at some point. We dont know the LMS Future. Again - Its possible but you need some real energy to write such a plugin. Would it be possible to write a plugin that takes control over artwork handling by LMS? Ideally it would be user configurable. I'd like it to allow me to enforce rules. My rules would be as follows, someone else' might be different. - If a track has embedded art, default to this. If not, then: - Default folder art. If not, then: - Default to folder art a level up, or a level up, or... - If no folder art is found all the way to the top level, use placeholder art. - NEVER guess. Ideally, the plugin would let me provide a top-level placeholder of my own. Hey Everything works great with the new version of Spotty on the device except for the lack of control from the Spotify application on Mac. It is possible to choose the device to be used for playback. When I do it nothing happens on the Logitech device, no sound is produced although Spotify displays as if the music is being played. On the other hand from the Logitech device I can see all the Spotify content and start and stop playing the music directly from the device. Moreover, "the remote" which is activated from the Squeezebox application as Safari window is also able to control the device. Is there anything I can do regain controls directly from Spotify - it used to work on older versions of Spotty however it was moody and patchy one time working the other not. Thank you for keeping our Logitechs alive.
