Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2019-08-11 Thread Peter Galbavy

I've seen this problem on my phone for a while, but not had a chance to
report;

I have 5 or 6 players (most synced) and I do use the drop-down power
buttons to turn them on and off but only the current select player will
change the state of the power icon. Switching the selected player to the
one I have just "turned on" updated the power icon but then switching
back to the previous player once again results in the other player's
power icon once again returning to "off". Material 0.9.4 from the normal
repo.

(I have tried to upload screenshots but this primitive forum editor does
not seem to allow resizing and they are too large to display cleanly)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox

2019-08-11 Thread elziko

Hi,

I have LMS v7.9.2 running on Windows 10 with Spotty v2.8.4.

I have two Spotify accounts (my wife's and mine) set-up and I have six
Squeezeboxes set up to be used for Spotify Connect.

My problem is that some of the Squeezebox endpoints show up in Spotify
Connect on my wife's Spotify client (Android) and the other endpoints
show up on my Spotify client (also Android). We can't both see all
endpoints at the same time. After reading this thread it seems that
maybe local announcements aren't working. In fact, if I set the Andorid
clients to "Show local devices only" I can't see any Squeezebox
endpoints on any devices.

Assuming that this is my problem, can anyone help me get local
announcements working? Here are my Spotty settings where red shows
endpoints available to only my wife's client and green shows endpoints
only available to my client:

27894

Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for the reply.

I have a main router (wireless AP and switch) and two extra APs (also
with built-in switches).

They are all on the same subnet and both the SB Touches are wired, the
Radios & Boom are wireless.

I have (partially) resolved my issue; it now works but it's not as
secure as I'd like. I added spotty.exe as an allowed app in Windows
Firewall on my server. However, I'd rather tighten this up and only
allow a specific port for the executable if possible rather than opening
up the entire thing. Does anyone know of the firewall requirements for
spotty.exe and Spotty Connect?

Thanks!

I don't use the Apple Music app on my iPad, but they have given me a

emerged from my Squeezebox Classic just fine.

The issue is that the stream most often won't play (although, fwiw, the
time count runs) -unless- I restart LMS.

BBC iPlayer version is 1.6.7
Live Stream preferences are set to: DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC

My LMS details are:
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.2 - 1564788734 @ Sat Aug 3 01:48:06

Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8

Audio::Scan: 1.02
IO::Socket::SSL: 2.044
Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)

Up until recently -- say a couple of weeks -- it's worked absolutely
fine. (And yes, that does seem around the time of the most recent update

putting that down as coincidence...)

If "Listen Again" is OK but "Live" is not - then I wonder is it a timing

@Michael - what ID am I supposed to use here? If you look at the info in
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?109624-Announce-Material-Skin&p=946797&viewfull=1#post946797
*artist_id* has the composer ID. *trackartist_ids* (which has only 1
entry) seems to have the correct ID. But, in
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?109624-Announce-Material-Skin&p=946861&viewfull=1#post946861
*artist_id* has the wrong value, *artist_ids* (which again has only 1)
seems to be the correct one. What's going on here? Currently, the
artist_id I supply to a bio request is:

- If trackartist_ids is set to multiple values, I make multiple calls
  for each value
- If trackartist_ids is set to a single value, I make one call with
  its value
- If artist_ids is set to multiple values, I make multiple calls for
  each value
- If artist_id is set I use its value

Should I just being using *trackartist_ids* if set, falling back to
*artist_ids* if not?

@slartibartfast please provide the debug info again - just so I can
confirm.

Thanks for this. So, for 0.9.6 I've changed the bio lookup to send MAI
an artist_id using the following order of preference:

- The first entry from trackartist_ids
- The first entry from artist_ids
- trackartist_id (Never seen this in a status message - so not sure
  this is actually applicable)
- artist_id

The first match from this list will be used. In your example
*trackartist_ids* is not present, but *artist_ids* is found, and the
first of this would be sent. I'm guessing this is the correct one - as
the *artist_id* in the status matches the first entry in *composer_ids*
I've already made the change in git, ready for the next bug-fix release
- would be great to have this confirmed.

Try SDT version 5.9.54 and see if it resolves the problem you have of
weather data not updating after a server restart. If the problem still
exists, turn logging for SDT up to "Info". Make sure and check the box
"Save logging settings for use at next application restart" on the
advanced->logging settings page. Restart your server, wait at least 15
seconds after the server is completely back up and running. Then
trigger SDT by entering the Extras/SuperDateTime menu. Wait until
weather data/icons are updated and displayed. Send me the server log
entries from the server restart to the end.

2019-08-11 Thread 2+5

I'm curious if it would be possible to have a screensaver display a
webpage. I have jivelight running on picoreplayer with the Raspberry
touchscreen. I'd like to find a way to have the screensaver display a
magicmirror page hosted on a separate server. Then I could use the
touchscreen as more of a home dashboard that can also control LMS.

JiveLite/SqueezePlay can't display web pages. They don't have a browser
built-in.

(but yes, Opera's mobile team at the time paid us a visit to discuss
this option, when Opera mobile was great eg. on Nokia's phones, before
the iPhone arrived :-D)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2019-08-11 Thread Michael Herger

Unfortunately I still get Neil Young's biography instead of Linda
Ronstadt's.

@Michael - what ID am I supposed to use here?

I'm not sure what's going on here. What exact query are you using? It
would probably also be helpful to get a copy of the two files resulting
in such different behaviour
(https://www.dropbox.com/request/T3RctyzGgNg0oFDubq6a).

Skimming related code I see some references to how you've configured
your artist browsing. Eg. whether you have one single list, or distinct
lists for all/main artists. Not sure whether it really comes into play,
as it also depends on the query you're using... it all seems rather
complicated an convoluted :-/

Should I just being using *trackartist_ids* if set, falling back to
*artist_ids* if not?
I _think_ trackartist_ids is more specific, only listing contributors of
the track artist role, whereas artist_id would be anything. So yes, that
might work.

To get the status, I'm just using -["status", "-", 1,
"tags:cdegloyrstAKNS"]- (If TrackStat is installed, tags also has "R").
This gives me artist_id, artist_ids, albumartist_ids, composer_ids, and
trackartist_ids. I presumed that artist_id would be the main artist, and
this is what I originally used. Turns out this is sometimes the composer
ID. Not sure of the use of artist_id if its role can change.

As stated above using (in order of preference) trackartist_ids[0],
artist_ids[0], artist_id seems to resolve the issue. Just seems bit
convoluted.
