Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS-lite certified Smart Home skill for Alexa
dunk wrote: > yes i tested it with all the squeezelite players enabled - as before it > discovers all the real logitech hardware players without problems if all > the squeezelite players are disabled but even a single squeezelite > player stops the whole scan This is so strange. There's absolutely no difference in my reporting player details during discovery for various types of players. Every device has a friendlyName and an endpointId that are derived from the 'players ?' response from your LMS. The endpointId includes the MAC address of the player so that when you request Alexa to control a player, the incoming directive from Amazon containing the endpointId allows me to deduce which player to control (in the jsonrpc interface, players are identified by MAC address). For some reason, Amazon does not like the presence of your player's MAC addresses showing *anywhere* in the discovery response. There's no logical explanation for this and also no feedback as to why the response is ignored. In a smart home skill, a directive comes in to the skill, the skills responds to it and that's it - there's no error response returned if the skill response is rejected. The recent small change I made to the code adds a hash to the endpointId that's unique to your account, just in case there was an endpointId collision due to a MAC address collision with another user of the skill. That means that the MAC address should no longer be an issue. Do you have any other smart home skills in use? There's a 300 device limit per Amazon account - you're hardly hitting that are you? philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP / SugarCube settings suggestions?
Thanks for the update to the plugin, and thanks for the settings suggestion. I've tuned up the "mix style" (similar to artist) to see if that changes things a bit. I have a large collection, but with 1/3 to 1/2 being compilations of tracks, and I wonder if that causes some issues with the mixing. Will see how that impacts the mixes, I previously had that set to 0 as I wasn't concerned about track to track being "like the artist". I've now got it set to MixStyle=150, and MixVariety=3, and MixBy=Song. I had dynamic mode, and most everything else disabled, or off. Anyone else have a "favorite" way to set musicip mixes? Next step, fixing the UI to change the Next/Previous track to the "proper" images, |< and >|, not << >>. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS-lite certified Smart Home skill for Alexa
There's still no progress on the sporadic during account linking which a tiny minority of people experience but which is rather persistent when it rears its ugly head. From @Ludopi's feedback, the Amazon redirect URL visible in a browser but not in the Alexa app is giving the failure reason as Code: &errorKey=csrf-token-expired Any gurus on here any ideas if that's something related to the Amazon website or if it's more the blame of my oauth server hosted at smartskills.tech? My SSL cert is still valid with plenty of life left in it but I am not aware I have any csrf-tokens in use. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When I go to player setting in the web gui and I go to don't stop the music, I have the option to select musicIP, Lastmix, Random xxx and all the other opportunities of online services, but not a way to switch on and off spicefly sugarcube. It would be great to have there a spicefly sugarcube option as well . Not sure if CParker has to implement it (my guess) or if it is core to LMS That would be SugarCube's task.
