Material will only show *one* logo - and I have no intention of changing
that. Perhaps, however, I should just remove the logos from the artist
list - not sure they make much sense here. In the albums list they help
to differentiate duplicate albums.

A quirk in Artist display listing?

I have the same album in both Spotify and Qobuz

If I list by Artists, then against the artist name there's the source
logo. It always only shows the Spotty logo, Qobuz only shows where the
album is unique to Qobuz.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)

2020-04-16 Thread mherger

I've uploaded v4.0.2 of the Spotty plugin. This is a maintenance release
and tries to address the rate limiting issue many of us have experienced
recently: Spotty has become so popular (thanks to Corona - or the
plugin's quality? :-)), we've hit a point where Spotify started to block
requests.

Overall the Spotty plugin triggers way more than a million requests to
Spotify's servers every day. There are days when something somewhere
goes wrong, and 400k pause events are reported, rather than the usual
20-30k. Or 15x the number of the usual tracks are looked up. But there's
also a relatively high base line of profile and device lookups. This
release tries to reduce this baseline, as catching those unique
explosions is much harder.

As always: keep reporting issues. It's important for me to understand
when an issue no longer is a hiccup in someone's installation, but
rather a "global" problem of all of us together.

Enjoy the music!

The MP3 bit is a BBC problem - they have not used MP3 in other episodes
so I think it is BBC finger trouble but it doesn't affect playback on
any BBC site - so BBC will not think it is a problem or perhaps it is
part of something they are planning - either way - they'll look after
it.

Thanks philippe_44! Using the static-version seems to have done it for
me.

I was indeed beginning to suspect that the issue was with the mp3 codec,
but since I'm using an LMS-docker image from the docker hub I thought it
improbable that they would not include something so trivial as an
MP3-codec. Lesson learned, always be careful with premade docker images.

mp4 in passthrough is hit and miss. What's happening in your case is
that you don't have the mp3 codec library on your system, so mp3 is
removed from capabilities. You can either install the codec (mad codec,
so libmad) or you use the -static version which has codecs built-in

Wenn ich auf den Neustart verzichte verschwindet das Paket und taucht
dann später wieder als zu aktualisierend auf.

Noch weitere Ideen?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)

2020-04-16 Thread pixie

First of all, I love the work. It should enable me to add my Yamaha
R-N303D receiver (DLNA capable) to my 'multiroom setup' (squeezelite on
rpi's). I'm still getting to know LMS, but I'm getting there.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck trying to play some AAC files (.m4a) as well as
MP3 files. What happened:

- First, with the bridge working in passthrough, I noticed that my m4a
files did not play. MP3 files were playing perfectly. I figured this
might have something to do with the AAC support from my receiver (yep,
I read the user guide). So I thought that switching 'Full processing
mode' should do the trick. m4a files were playing perfectly!
- The 'full processing mode' resulted in an unexpected side-effect.
MP3 files were no longer playing. This problem did send me down the
rabbit hole tweaking setting (supported codecs, forced audio types and
what not) but nothing seems to give me the desired outcome. I am
attaching my logs in which I noticed in the transcoding mode the mp3
codec seems to disappear where the bridge is telling LMS what it
  supports.

I'm attaching the some files which should hopefully help to solve this
mystery:

- log file pass through mode: 30089
- log file full processing mode: 30090
- configuration: 30091

Does anyone have a clue what is going wrong?

MP3 just means BBC have made it available on BBC Sounds not just BBC
iPlayer.

It (MP3) plays OK for me.

1. What version of Plugin are you using ?
2. What sort of player are you using ?
3. Have you got MP3 in the BBCiPlayer "Stream Preference" settings -
best setting is "DASH > HLS > MP3 > FlashAAC" for both "live" and "on
demand"

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support

2020-04-16 Thread tw99

I'm trying to listen to "Don Letts Culture Clash Radio" which is on
6Music at 2200 on Sundays. I used to be able to listen to this, but it's
no longer working since last week. This is with a 7.9.2 server on a
Rpi, latest versions of all plugins.

A key difference between this and other 6Music shows that work OK seems
to be that the URL has "mp3=" in it where most of the other shows are
"dash=".

URL:
iplayer://aod?mp3=http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/6/redir/version/2.0/mediaset/audio-nondrm-download/proto/http/vpid/m000h83d.mp3=http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/6/redir/version/2.0/mediaset/audio-syndication-dash/proto/http/vpid/m000h83d=7200=http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/480x480/p01lcd8x.jpg=Don%20

When I try to play it, this error appears in the logfile:

[20-04-16 17:34:53.7223] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Remote::__ANON__ (192)
Error: Can't connect to remote server to retrieve playlist for,
http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/6/redir/version/2.0/mediaset/audio-nondrm-download/proto/http/vpid/m000h83d.mp3:
404 Not Found.

I wonder if this is this just a metadata error by the BBC or whether I
really have a local problem with playing MP3s via Iplayer ?

As I wrote above, the current gain value in use needs to be in the API.
If the user has selected 'Smart gain' then Material would not (easily)
know if track or album gain was being applied. So, sorry, with the
current JSONRPC API this would be more work than its worth.

The RP information display should be dependant of the ReplayGain
Settings per Player, if OFF there is no display.
It will be a good indicator to show that RP gain ahas been enabled.

Thanks - yes SP Player does stop when other audio starts. Have you
considered getting SqueezeCtrl certified for Android TV and boxes? I am
sure many people would like to use SB on their TV's and be able to
control it with their remotes. It is mostly there bar a couple of things
(missing highlights and higher contrast highlights for a 10 foot
interface). Using a TV remote is easier than using a mobile. At the
moment I am using Emby Media Server to play both video and music but it
is nowhere near as good as SB for the latter.

Question to all the ngrok users. Would it be useful to be able to *spell
out* your new ngrok subdomain details to the skill when they change so
that there's* no need to re-link the skill*?

For example, your tunnel was https://92832de0.ngrok.io and this changes
to https://5057493e.ngrok.io. You could say "Alexa, tell Media Server my
tunnel changed." She responds with "Let's update it then. Please spell
the characters before the ngrok.io part" You respond "five zero five
seven four nine three e". She responds with "I understood 5 0 5 7 4 9 3
e. Is that correct?" You say "Yes". She checks if the tunnel seems
correct (LMS responds in a recognisable way) and says "Done" or tells
you that there's an invalid response from that tunnel if you messed up.
This assumes you leave the -auth username and password the same for the
old/new tunnels.

Useful or not?

I set up ngrok in a few minutes to test things out.
Later I put in a reverse proxy to avoid the need to buy an ngrok
subscription to avoid the need to reset things on restart.
Putting in the proxy was numerous steps and more error prone. I followed

I see an error in the logs "Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Have audio-stream and json track-info feed - Want LMS plugin for KCRW Eclectic24 !?!

Just uploaded 0.1.6 with more hacks ...

This time I have tried to get around the KCRW overnight stuff where they
play simulcast of "Eclectic 24" station for 4 hours but do not provide a
song list via the API for KCRW station ...
So, if the programme is called "Eclectic 24" then I kick of a fetch of
the song list from the other station.
Seems to work.

I have also put in some code to provide all of the same functionality if
the listener is tuned to "KCRW Santa Barbara" however it will not work
well if that station has real programmes (rather than inserted
jingles/news) that are different to the main KCRW.
