Sorry, but (AFAICS) the LMS API does not support inserting tracks at a
set index. The best I could do is to add all items to the end of the
queue, and then move them one-by-one to the correct position. This,
however, would be slow - especially if you dragged an artist with many
albums onto the queue. If you really want this, then you need to raise
an issue with LMS to implement an "insert at index" command (which
should not be too hard, as there is already an "insert after current"),
which Material could then use.

BBCiPlayer (or its earlier incarnation AlienBBC) has never had any way
to bookmark where "Listening" has stopped. LMS menu handling (at least
for older SB players) will "remember" the last program - but the not
position withing the program.

If you are listening to a BBC podcast, then I think position can be
remembered by LMS podcast.

We had a similar question in the Qobuz thread. "Browse by Work" might be
a useful work around here?
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?97146-Qobuz-com-streaming-plugin&p=991909&viewfull=1#post991909
Since this is on Qobuz I can't see what fields are used for this. But I
do recall having some sort of subheadings between discs on multi-disc
albums in my regular library as well.

I'm finding that when I listen to an archive programme (i.e. not live
radio) via the iPlayer plugin, that the player doesn't remember the
point I've listened up to if the session gets interrupted and resumed.
For example if I'm listening on a PC and it goes into sleep mode and
later wakes up. The iPlayer programme will restart from the beginning
rather than wherever I'd got up to. FWIW I'm generally using
Squeezlite-X in this context, but I've noticed that same thing listening
via a Touch.

I'm sure this used to work better than it does, but I suppose I may be
imagining that...

Is this expected behaviour ? If not, anything I can do to help debug
what's happening ?

Deleting the files located in '/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/' did not
fix the issues in itself. Here is what fixed it for me (I'm writing it
as mini tutorial to hopefully help others as well)

using LMS Web UI cleanup YouTube plugin information (this is found under
'Server settings > Plugins > YouTube' when using 'Material Skin')

- delete YouTube API access key
- delete Client ID and Client Secret (if previously configured)

using LMS Web UI remove (un-check) 'YouTube plugin' (this is found under
'Server settings > Plugins > Plugins' when using 'Material Skin')

stop running LMS

Code:

  $ sudo systemctl stop logitechmediaserver.service

delete files located in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/

Code:

  $ sudo rm -rf /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/*.*

reboot the server

Code:

  $ sudo shutdown -r now

LMS will start 'Music Collection Re-scan' after the reboot. Let it
finish.

Install and configure 'YouTube plugin' from scratch (I didn't have to
generate new 'YouTube API access key' since the one I previously
generated worked for me)

Unfortunately I come to no conclusion regarding the real cause or
trigger. Could stepping up from LMS 7.9.3 to 7.9.4 nightly be the
reason? I'm not sure. I would appreciate if any of you share your
thoughts and theories. I hope the above information will help 'morph84'
and possibly others as well.

Thank you all for sticking around and helping out with this issue.
Thanks to 'slartibartfast', 'Man in a van', and 'scala' for sharing

It would be nice if LMS supported a 'disc title' field. When listing
multi-disc albums, if LMS is set to show as one album then Material will
group the tracks by disc - and it would be nice to show a sub-title of
the disc name. If LMS had the concept of 'disc title' then I would show
that alongside the album name. Using the comment field is a work-around
- and whilst it works for you, it would brake for others.

2020-10-20 Thread Michael Herger

I also have experienced this. Yesterday after playing a playlist with
300+ songs it stops after song no 79 ("What A Man"). I thought it may be
related with the cache purge.

Interesting hint! I thought I had delayed the cleanup enough to not
block initial track buffering. But who knows?

Plugins::Spotty::AccountHelper::purgeAudioCacheAfterXTracks (230) Played
14 song(s) since last audio cache purge.

Ok, but that's just the counter. The actual cleanup would only be
triggered after 15 tracks.

But anyway, please keep watching out. Any help would be welcome!

I've really like the Material Skin plugin. It provides a modern and

I was wondering if the same kind of look and feel would be possible for

My livingroom player has the 7 inch RPI display attached and mostly

outdated. It would be great to have a Material Skin like look and feel
