Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9.2 OSX High Sierra disable sleep

2021-11-03 Thread Michael Herger

Installed Softsqueeze 3.9.2 on Mac mini running High Sierra 10.13.6 and
when playing music Softsqueeze will go to sleep after one song or after
a varying period of time.

How do I disable/switch off this sleep function?

Use Squeezeplay instead :-). Seriously: it prevents my Mac from going to
sleep so reliably I sometimes use it for this very purpose only. And I
prefer it over Softsqueeze very much. It's more up to date.

Hi, just an update about my strange case of spotty helper not being
recognized by LMS. I run it for a while in a VM but yesterday I
upgraded my 2019 server to 2022 version and when I tried the spotty
plugin, it was working again, so I can finally enjoy it directly on the
host :).

Thank for your time and your good work!

I think I have fixed the issue but I need to do some more testing
tomorrow.

I think there may be an additional "Favorites" issue if they are V1
Favorites. If so they should be replaced by Favorites created from V2 as
V1 Favorites have problems on some players.

The URLs are grabbed from webpages not a proper API (it was deprecated)
so if web page format changes - the URLs can't be found.

It has happened that a web page change is in error - and reverts back in
a few days. This can be annoying because if a update the plugin quickly

Sure. It would of course require a new Intent to be created and
therefore certification by Amazon. How do you envisage asking for it and
what exactly would it do under the hood?

By the way, are you having issues with playing favorites by DOT
notation? I thought I saw some misfires in the logs. Just checking that
my re-factoring hasn't changed anything there accidentally...

If you want to install v*2* from the "plugin library" (= LMS main repo)
you'll have to wait until I remove v3.2.5 from that "plugin library" for
good. As I said, that will happen as soon as daily downloads of 3.2.5
from the "plugin library" have dropped to an insignificant number. If
v*3* users with a version < 3.2.5 don't get the 3.2.5 update (with the
info message) they may never know about the repo change and they'd be
stuck with 3.2.5 forever. Thank you for your understanding and keeping
their best interests in mind.

the LMS main repo (v3.2.5) contains a message with information for DPL

download 3.2.5 so they will know that DPL v*3* is now available from a

If you are injecting JS into Material, you should be able to access its
variables so the following -might- work:

Code:

  bus.$on('nowPlayingExpanded', function(expanded) {
  // Save value of expanded
  });

*Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json
(Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update
messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open
console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS
will be logged here.
