Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Ratings Light
Hello AF1, Many thanks for the Ratings Light plug which after a few teething problems as a new Daphile user allowed me to copy my iTunes ratings across to a large cloned music library on the LMS. I did this via your Playlist Export/Import method. In iTunes, I like to keep persistent ratings stored in the audio files in case of iTunes library calamity and I repurpose the Beats per Minute (BPM) field for the rating (BPM = 10x iTunes Rating, e.g. 3.5 star = 35). Conveniently, it sits under the track rating in the Song Info Dialog and its validated as integer (0..100). I periodically do BPM bulk updates to align the iTunes rating and BPM value. I think you mentioned elsewhere that you maintain LMS and iTunes libraries and transfer ratings between them. This hack could be a substitute for the "Comments" method you use if users are averse to modifying or appending the comments field. Thanks again for an excellent plugin. I look forward to experimenting with the Dynamic Playlists. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite-X and Jivelite on PicorePlayer but not SqueezePlay on Ubuntu
I don't have an answer for why it did not work immediately ... but if the difference is consistent then you can go to the settings and adjust the sync delay. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite-X and Jivelite on PicorePlayer but not SqueezePlay on Ubuntu
Hi all, According to tips here, I found a solution where all my 4 boxes and pcs are in perfect sync. I am using 3 times PicorePlayer/Jivelite and one time PC/Squeezelite-X (on Windows 10). But if I am using my private laptop (powerful i7) with Ubuntu 20.04 and SqueezePlay the fun of syncing is over and I hear a noticable gap. 37589 Anybody any idea, what works in perfect sync for Ubuntu 20.04? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce Planet Radio / Bauer Media plugin - PlanetRock, Absolute, Kiss, Scala ++
I think I have worked out how they do the removal of adverts for Premium subscribers. I'll have a go at emulating it but, as usual, it has no guarantee to work long term. I think I'll have to do it by asking the user to go and find a piece of data that is held elsewhere and then typing it into the settings. Not very nice ... but if I get it playing without adverts first then I can look at automating that extra step. Note - this does not bypass the requirement for the listener to have a genuine Premium account (which, after the 30-day trial expires, requires a monthly payment to PlanetRadio). I can do longer searches in the browser and see if anything is of interest. The longer searches are mostly helpful with classical music, where a lot of results can be generated for a composer or orchestra. I was looking for a setting to resolve the 200 limit for awhile, so I won't have to do that any longer. Thanks again for your help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
If I do the same exact search in my browser on Qobuz I can see lists of results greater than 200 if there are more than 200 results returned. I don't know if this is a known issue that has already been discussed, I searched the forums and could not find any replies or threads about the topic. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thanks for your help. It's a deliberate "design decision": Qobuz would not return more than 200 items in one request. Thus I'd have to implement paging (sending multiple requests). I've decided this wasn't worth the effort for a search, as I personally rarely look beyond the first 20-50 items in any kind of search. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hi, I am new to the forum but have been using a PiCorePlayer for about six months and have v8.1.0. I have the latest Qobuz plugin and noticed that the search results from Qobuz in LMS are always limited to 200 or less. If I do the same exact search in my browser on Qobuz I can see lists of results greater than 200 if there are more than 200 results returned. I don't know if this is a known issue that has already been discussed, I searched the forums and could not find any replies or threads about the topic. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? This is not currently possible, not even via a custom action. The code would need to check if this was a local track, get the folder path, then list (via MAI) files in the folder and add to the menu. A lot of work to save 2 clicks. *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Craig, A long while ago you kindly made an enhancement to material skin whereby, if additional files (text, pictures, html etc) are present within a music\artist\album directory, the option to access these files becomes available within the material interface. For example, from the android skin, now playing screen, long press artist artwork, a menu with (...) Show track info appears, select this. If additional files are present, the next menu will display "text files from music folder", selecting this (in my case) presents the option Additional Information.html (a file I've created, located in the album directory in a sub directory called Additional Resources). My question is, using the custom scripting, is it possible to move the option to reach the Additional Info.html file up to the top menu after long pressing the album artwork from the now playing screen? I seem to recall that this isn't as simple as I hope, due to you having to due some under the bonnet checking to see if the file is present? Thanks for looking, hope the above makes some sense? location 1: lms 8.3 on win 10 brix server, x3 sb radios, x1 touch, x1 controller : location 2: lms 8.3 on win 10 brix server, x2 sb radios, x1 duet receiver, x1 controller : alexa mediaserver smart skill, material android, squeezelitex control staresy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=807 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
