OK. I'm not at the server, so when you say disable iTunes integration, that is in settings in the server? And if I do that, then what is the consequence of disabling iTunes integration? While I understand (I think your explanation of the problem), why is there now a problem with 7.5.4, where there wasn't a problem with 7.4.2 ? I just upgraded from 7.4.2 to 7.5.4. Listening to an album, after the first track, the album art is replaced with what I will describe a silver disc (CD). This has always been the case with Slimserver and has been a long standing documented bug. However, this has never happened in iPeng. To be clear, while using iPeng, listening to any track, you would always see the album art. Needless to say, this is a big step backward. Album art is important as it goes to the user experience and functionality of the program (iPeng). So, why did this happen with 7.5.4? Any thoughts? Is there a fix? I will also say I am frustrated with Logitech given that this bug has been outstanding for years. Thanks for a beautifully conceived and supported application. Thanks - I ran the specified tests manually and couldn't recreate the problem so I then ran the "Install pack for SlimServer 6.5" to get the menu-driven tests [and The Archers] and all now seems to be working. It may be that I last had AlienBBC running under Slimserver 6.2 or 6.3 and needed the 6.5 installation for compatibility with what is a fresh installation of Slimserver (and hence 6.5). Actually, I never use AlienBBC to listen to stations live, only to Listen Again. I have just tried Radio 4 live and the same thing happens: the stream reconnects after ~1 minute. I can confirm that there is no "bandwidth" option in the custom-convert.conf file and, just to be sure, I've re-booted the server and re-run the experiment to ensure it's picking up the new settings. So, since this is happening on a live stream is there something else I should be looking at, maybe a debug switch I could use to find out more? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC Listen Again stops after ~ 1 minute
I run Alien BBC on SlimServer (v6.5.4 - 12568) under Windows Home Server. This has been working fine, however recently Radio 4 Listen again has begun stopping and restarting after ~1 minute of play. I have recently upgraded to the release version of Windows Home Server, which entailed an entire re-install of the OS, so it may be that I've lost a vital tweak somewhere. Can anyone advise me of a likely cause/fix for this problem? [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP issue: using "song" as seed
Hi. I'm running Slimserver v6.3.1 with MusicIP 1.6 on Linux. I can create mixes based on albums and artists, but for some reason the "m" icon doesn't show up at the track-level. I understand that I should be able to use individual tracks as seeds, but it just doesn't show up. If I browse to an album title the "m" is there and I can hold down play and it creates a mix based on the album. Same thing with Artist. But no-go on the track itself. I've found that the plugin works fine in softsqueeze, but it breaks in a squeezebox v3. My software is limServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5194 with the firmware that comes with that version. The error I'm getting just before it dies is Offset outside string at /usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Networking/Select.pm line 151. 2006-03-11 23:49:04.8408 Shutting down plugins... I am not sure why this is only showing up when it streams to hardware... Has anyone set up this plug in to work on Linux? It seems to browse OK, pulls back my presets, etc, but when I try and play a stream the slimserver process dies. No messages show up in /var/log/messages, and I'm not sure how to debug the perl file any further to know where the error is happening.
