Thanks Michael, but issue persists.
Exact error message on SB Classic Display is :

Line1 : Problem Can't open file from
Line2 : Radio Paradise (flac) - playlist.radioparadise.com

Playing Radio Paradise MP3 192 kbps ( in My Apps ) from Synology LMS is
ok.

All squared out flac now on LMS 7.9.2 on Windows 10 PC towards SB
Classic wired ethernet.

Tried the same setup for Synology DS214play on DSM 6.2.2 and installed
pinkdot LMS 7.9.2 and Radio Paradise plugin.
DSM and all packages are at the latest release level.

The flac streams now play towards the PC based squeezeplayer, but SB
Classic provides brief track/artist/album info, medidates about 4
seconds
and then nothing. LMS on Synology server log has not a single error.
See below after starting LMS and trying flac streams twice :

EDIT : Only the interactive flac streams are causing constant
rebuffering on SB Classic ( wired ethernet )
All other streams play OK from the App ( and from Favorites )
The interactive flac streams play ok, including track skip, on PC based
squeezeplayer.

Suggestion anyone ?

Now I am really confused.
What's the purpose of the Plugin showing up in My Aps, because starting
the flac stream this way does not work for me.

I may have missed some clarifications in this very long exchange

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Radio Paradise Lossless Streaming (Plugin v2)

2019-11-03 Thread B1tbull

Greetings,

Some time ago I tried using the Radio Paradise Plugin with LMS 7.9.2
with SB Classic as player
but due to constant rebuffering this was not really working.
I started the stream using SB Classic Remote and selecting Radio
Paradise in my Apps.

Earlier this week I cleaned up Favorites on mysqueezebox.com and added a
few new ones , including the 4 Radio Paradise Flac Streams.
Much to my surprise starting those flac streams from favorites ( NOT in
Apps ) played perfectly, including full track title , artist and album.
No hickups or rebuffering whatsoever.

Then I uninstalled the plugin, assuming it was not required, but the 4
flac streams dropped down to OGG and no track info showed up anymore.
Re-installed plugin and all OK again.

This only works when connected to the LMS server running the plugin, not
when connecting SB classic to mysqueezebox.com.
I assume the plugin is doing some magic in the background.

Not really understanding why and how it works, but very happy Flac
streams can now be played on SB Classic

Agreed, but most artists seem ok. The mismatches are then mainly at
track title level.
For example willy deville has many tracks ok , except a few ones which
are from the same CD
where other tracks are recognized.
Does this imply that some songs are simply not available at TEN ?
I assume the TEN db is maintained at artist+song id, not CD level.
So what source is being used to identify artists and songs ?

I found smartmix to be amazingly good at creating playlists, just so
sorry that many of my library tracks
are not recognized. I would gladly subscribe to a service that good if
the recognition rate
bumped up into the 90+ %.

What would be the best way to reduce the number of entries in that log.
( right now about 25 % of my local LMS library ).
I am quite happy to correct the song tags in my library, but how can I
figure out what the mismatch is with the TEN song database ?

Hello Micheal,

Sorry for reacting so late, I usually rely on email notifications for
replies.
Thanks for the follow up, I do understand your point about "exact"
tags.
Just picked up version 1.6.7 and will take it from there.
I am running LMS 7.7.5, no updates are available in the Control Panel ?
Will also check the nomysqueezebox startup parameter.

Michael,

Thanks for the feedback.
See attached 2 runs for unrecognized tracks.
Only 4 tracks are different between the 2 lists, which is minimal, but
since the metadata did not change
I wonder why the lists are not 100 % identical.
Out of the 1926 unrecognized tracks 1180 are from "Various" albums which
is how I define compilations
from different artists.
Could you also advise on my second post about the standard mixes and why
they stop generating a playlist if used
several times in a short time span.

Francis.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2015-05-24 Thread B1tbull

The 4 standard recipes did initially produce valid mixes, but the
"Smooth" one
only returned a dozen tracks. When skipped to the end of that playlist
end clicking "Smooth" again in Home->smartmix no tracks showed up.
Doing the same the next day, a few tracks showed up, then none again.
The most recent played days settings is set to zero.

So basic question is : what is limiting the result of using the same
recipe again ?

Included the relevant server.log section for smartmix plugin ( debug
mode )

Greetings,

Having moved LMS to a Synology NAS and having trouble getting
Sugercube/MusicIP working on that NAS
I just discovered smartmix as alternative.
The plugin seems to work fine, but I worry about the outcome of the
smartmix-missing.log file.
I did run the unrecognized tracks twice, once the log was about 1000
tracks, second time about 2000.
My music source consists of about 9000 tracks all ripped from original
CD's and hand crafted for the correct music tags.
If about 25 % of my library remains unknown to smartmix the usage is
seriously limited.
Thanks in advance for any advise or insight.

PS. Some answers may already be in this thread, but with that many pages
it would be quite hard to find it.

Hello,

Just stumbled into this nice applet and installed it onto my controller
- no sweat.
I have one question and on item for the wish list

Question : what about the weather plugin settings under Squeezebox
Server/Plugins. For example third line ( precipitation chance, wind info
) does not change anything on the controller weather display.

Wishlist : location name to be displayed with forecast, just to make
sure it is correctly fetched.

Thanks for the good work on plugin(s) - that's what makes the Squeeze
family so interesting.
