Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Spotify has just updated their desktop client. Main new feature that will have impact for the plug-in is support for saving playlists in folders. I have not tested myself yet so I do not know how the plug-in behaves. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Triode: One feature request. I guess waaay too late for 1.0 :) I have mentioned it once before, but maybe the message was lost in the hailstorm of comments. Spotify added a social interface a few months back. The important part (for me at least) is that I can access public playlists and starred tracks made by my friends by navigating friend - playlist. I do not have to know the spotify user name or playlist name. I just navigate to it. Is this functionality supported by the spotify API you use and if so do you plan to use it? It is a very nice feature in a party setting. I use it all day long in the office. Quite often other peoples starred tracks as well. Everything else is working well here. Rock solid for me for more than two weeks. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I am sure that I probably do something wrong, the problem is that I do not know what it is. I am using a Synology NAS (latest firmware) in combination with squeezebox 7.5 (latest available release). And I do have a spotify premium account. if i try to use it via the controller it says: (Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected). I guess this is a result of not having the plug in running. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE? The only time I have seen such a message myself (on a self made NAS with a regular linux distro) was when I forgot to install the flac/ogg libraries. I assume spotifyd could not be started then (unmet library dependency) and the regular squeezecenter log would print such a message. A simple test would be to log in and do a ldd spotifyd (in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotify/Bin/) to verify that all required libraries are available. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Quick question. If I add a playlist in the regular spotify client, how long will it take before it shows up in SB? I added one a few days back and it is present now, but I never checked carefully. Does the SB-plugin poll regularly for new playlists? -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
When using the SB3 it is possible, while playing a song, to look at the details for song and search for Artist, Album, Genre etc by navigating to the right. That would be very handy for spotify as well (avoid typing at all costs). Not sure it it is possible to include the same functionality in that part of the menu hierarchy but a dedicated search menu entry to search for current artist, album, etc would be nice. Especially when using playlists that are mixes of artists and albums. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I tried a link from pitchify.com mentioned in a recent post and I end up with a link in the browser window: spotify:album:4OQxNTXVCzANyDjvcGiVa8 gives me a link like http://192.168.1.3:9002/status.json?q=spotify:album:4OQxNTXVCzANyDjvcGiVa8 which the player can not deal with. While I am writing, do you plan, and/or is it possible with the current spotify toolkit to allow browsing other peoples public playlists like was added a few weeks back in Spotify's desktop client? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Using ubuntu 10.04 (server edt) with squeezeboxserver 7.51 I installed the plug-in on a brand new system a few days back. It worked fine. Then I turned off the machine to rig it up properly and after the restart the plug-in would not work. That is, I could still navigate the playlists, Top 100 etc, but whenever I tried to play a song my Squeezebox Classics (SB3) would all show Connecting... and nothing more. Got a simililar error from a Duet. The server.log would then contain entries like: [10-07-17 09:32:32.1339] Slim::Formats::XML::gotErrorViaHTTP (332) Error: getting spotify:track:7uyUitwveHe0Cfgf0RvjHT Cannot request non-HTTP URL spotify:track:7uyUitwveHe0Cfgf0RvjHT [10-07-17 09:40:10.3919] Plugins::Spotify::Settings::__ANON__ (109) error fetching status: Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [10-07-17 09:41:23.9883] Plugins::Spotify::Settings::__ANON__ (109) error fetching status: Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [10-07-17 09:41:42.6713] Plugins::Spotify::Settings::__ANON__ (109) error fetching status: Connect timed out: Transport endpoint is not connected [10-07-17 09:42:42.9057] Plugins::Spotify::ProtocolHandler::handleDirectError (203) failed to play stream - restarting helper I do not have an interesting spotifyd.log now, but whenever the connection attempt timed out the next song would be loaded the log then said something about port 9001 being busy. Anyway, I then uninstalled the plug-in and next reinstalled it. After that everything works fine. I really have no idea why. I tried to restart the system and the squeezeboxserver as well before that, but that did not help. I reboot my server a few times a year so if the issue happened because of the initial reboot this workaround not really a big issue for me. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezeControl for Android announcement and support thread
Works well on HTC Desire. I have not read this thread, so this might be already written elsewhere: The only issue I have detected so far is that *.flac files downloaded to the phone get converted into *.flc This is quite annoying because Meridian supports flac playback, but fails if the extension is .flc It works well if I manually change it to .flac for a particular file. One can argue that this a bug in Meridian, but I do not think a downloader should be smart and change the filename in the first place. -- Espen Espen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62581 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
