When trying to use Playlist manager through Ipeng instead of having the context options to Add/new playlist etc the screen just shows the word "Empty". The Plugin works fine with the IR Remote working my SB3, but not the latest version of Ipeng. Any ideas Pippin? Thanks. Hey Pippin, I'm in the process of creating a huge "best tracks" playlist from my 35k library (random play is just TOO random!) and I'd like to ask you how I can work within Ipeng rather than go through the "Playlist Manager" plugin using my IR remote..? Currently I browse my library using Ipeng, then use my IR remote (using Playlist Manager) to add the track to a specific playlist. Swapping between the two remotes is a pain, especially as I have to do I on a track by track basis. The Playlist Manager plugin within Ipeng shows up "Empty" (i.e. Doesn't work) and Im wondering if there's an equivalent Playlist plugin that DOES work within Ipeng? This will save me pulling my hair out in frustration having to swap between remotes all the time! Thanks for that! Is it possible to add the "current playlist" to my existing Playlist (1500 tracks and counting) without editing the file in Notepad or whatever? Playback_works_ in my setup, but its really unusable at the moment? The sound constantly stutters and ANY operations on my ipod whilst streaming music files causes the soumd to stutter, even turning to landscape mode cuts it out! *this makes me wonder if my problem is ipod specific, rather than with IPENG? Its not jailbreaked, but its a 2G Touch running IOS 4.2.1, which apparently has a lot of people noticing performance slowdown due to new features in the firmware. POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS? MY MUSIC LIBRARY IS FLAC, SHOULD I TRANSCODE TO MP3? I have a SB Touch in the main room which I would not want to hear MP3 through, so is there a way to just get PLAYBACK on my Ipod to stream MP3 and my Touch in the lounge to keep with FLAC? Would transcoding first even make a difference...SHOULD it? I'm a bit confused about the settings honestly...is LAME player specific or..? #SERVER ISSUES? Speedy comp(Quad core 3.6ghz)so no performance issues. Running 7.6 latest #WIFI ISSUES? Wifi runs fast enough normally, though is there a way to test it in my IPOD just to rule it out? #ARM6 IPOD/OS4 PERFORMANCE ISSUE? Could it be a 2G/IOS4 issue, with performance on the 2G reduced after "upgrading" to OS4. Apple in their wisdom have refused the ability to downgrade to pre-OS4 firmware so we are stuck with it...and there has been lots of reports oif performance issues. *-other 2G users having similar problems?-* At the moment Playback is unusable which is a pity, as I got a new Ipod dock just for it in the bedroom! thanks for the reply Pippin. I'm not sure the stuttering performance is an issue any more actually. (you'll be happy to hear :)) On your Blog page, someone had posted that having FLAC decoded natively (as opposed to being Disabled and streaming PCM to Ipeng) fixed some stuttering issues he had? I'm happy to say that that did the trick for me too. I'd put that one down as a defiante solution to performance/stuttering issues. Also... I had been using a custom-convert.config file to upsample my FLACS using SOX to 24/96. I lost that and the performance on my 2G Ipod improved again. Wierdly enough though, transcoding to MP3 didn't make a difference. I guess the biggest bottleneck on the perhaps borderline resources on the 2G was the PCM stream hitting Ipeng? Been an Ipeng user for a long time now, it's the best reason I bought an IPad and it's worth every penny! Just wondered if this "killer feature" is do-ablethrough a plugin or some such? You can view full screen album art in Ipeng, fantastic. What about sleeve notes etc? :) For most of my albums I have this is an "artwork" folder, how cool would it be to be able to browse through the sleeve notes, scans of booklets etc whilst listening to the album? +1 on this. In portrait mode Ipeng displays the full artwork (smaller of course) but in landscape the controls cut off the image. Another thing I've noticed is that the image seems fuzzy and not as sharp as the original image? It's not possible for example to read text on a scanned CD booklet, even with a 300dpi 1000x1000 image. Unless I'm accessing the ages wrongly, which is a possibility! :) Song is playing and I touch the artwork thumbnail in top left corner. This opens up full screen mode and I swipe to bring up context menu. I select "Local Artwork" and I can access stored images. Bit clunky though, as I said the images seem fuzzy and there's no easy navigation through images; you have to click back to image thumbnails listing and select the next one. Ideally, swipe to navigate, fully sharp image and even "pinch to zoom" functionality would make the experience PERFECT, Not sure if it's Ipeng or Michaels plugin but this I think viewing images like this would be superb. Hi Just bought and installed the app for my phone, looks great. :) One thing though, wonder if you help. On the Server I have a "Random Albums" browse option, which shows up on Ipeng on the Ipad, but not on your App? Previously used one of the freebie android apps and it didn't have the option either. Ismit an android thing or...? Shame if I cant get it to work with Random Albums... [SlimDevices: Plugins] Track information logger...is there a plugin that works with Internet Radio?
Love Radio Paradise as a way of discovering new music, it's great. Have been keeping a notepad and pen handy for scribbling down tracks/artists I want to hear more of. Be handier if I could do something like "Add to list" which creates a dynamic text file, say, I could open up and print off. Thinking dynamic playlists or something? Problem being Internet radio I wouldn't want the HTTP... limk as that's not any use, but the track, artist and album info. This shows up in Now Playing screen on my Transporter (as opposed to uRL link of radio station), thinking this could be a starting point? Not sure which plugin (if any) can do this and is the best. Strange issue here with Ipeng... Selecting by "Artist", I see a list of multiple names and artists I don't recognise. Turns out Ipeng is listing by Composer, not by Artist! Is this an Ipeng setting or a glitch? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Help me save money on my server!
Currently running SC on my main PC which I use for work (3D). Quad core, 4GB hi end GFX card etc etc. It has an efficient(80+) PSU but it must be drawing 300odd watts! Thinking of the bills, I want to transfer the squeezebox duties to something less costly to run. Mega low budget here guys (in UK, and lowest possible power usage is my main criteria, so any thoughts appreciated. Decided to try 7.6 and I like it, works fine seems to work better. Only snag is Playlist Manager plugin doesn't work. I contacted teh Author and its not supported for 7.6. What I did was if I liked a song, I could just click on the context menu for it and add it to a specific playlist on my server. Is there any similar plugins that do that in 7.6? On 7.5 I used "Playlist manager" which let me add tracks to any playlist on the fly. Is there anything similar for 7.6?
