Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

Hi Pippin

When playing tracks on squeezelite, the time bar is reset every 40
seconds. Everything else works properly.

This happens with the old iPeng version and with iPeng 7.

Squeezelite is the newest release 1.4.

I'm running the official LMS 7.7.2 on a Synology NAS with DSM 4.3.

Can you reproduce this?

cheers

Do you sync more than one player? Are you maybe controlling one that is
not actually playing and have you disabled group control? I still think
this should not happen then but it's the only scenario where this would
not just be a player bug :)

What do ther interfaces like the Web Interface do?

Sync and group control is off. LMS Web Interface shows the right time
progress.

I will ask on the squeezelite support thread. Thanks.

2014-01-04 Thread Quad

Hi Adrian

When playing tracks on squeezelite, the time bar on iPeng is reset every
40 seconds. Everything else works properly.

Pippin says that this behaviour occurs when the server somehow sends
constantly a 0 as progress. What could possibly be the reason for
that?

The LMS web interface itself shows the right time progress.

Squeezelite is the newest release 1.4.

I'm running the official LMS 7.7.2 on a Synology NAS with DSM 4.3.

2013-04-09 Thread Quad

Hi Triode

I recently found out that despite bit-perfectness, different software
players and different audio output devices make a difference for me.

With my DAC, the best sound gives me Squeezelite with WDM-KS and HDMI.
It really sounds FANTASTIC!

So far so good... But Squeezelite is the only player which is able to
address KS/HDMI. Foobar, JRiver (test version) and JPlay (test version)
don't show that particular output. The skinny answer of the guys at
JPlay is: don't trust Squeezelite, if Foobar, JRiver and JPlay can't see
it, then it certainly is not KS.

Could you explain to me what PortAudio does, what others don't? Thank
you!

It doesn't even show up under Extra. I can see it under

Do I have a chance at all?

Thanks for the attachment wowo. I will give it a try and play around

An ABX plugin for the Controller. That would be extremely neat!

I would love to do some testing, even if there are a couple of studies
which tell you what you actually will hear and what you won't. (I do
believe them, I just want to experience it myself.)

But sorry wowo, I don't think this will be possible on a NAS due to its
limited power. Though, I'm not an expert at all.

CustomBrowse fails to load with the following log (XP only, OSX works
all the time):

Stopping and restarting SC manually helps most of the time. Do I have
to change permissions myself somewhere or could this be a little bug?
Thanks for advices!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2009-03-22 Thread Quad

Cool! The second non-bold line on the album level showing artists is a
great improvement!

Could you maybe give a hint to the logitech guys how you managed to
even be aware of multiple entries in the artist tag? Your plugin
displays an artist tag of the following structure correctly: Orchestre
Révolutionnaire et Romantique;John Elliot Gardiner.

The Now Playing screen just shows the first entry... :-(

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: WaveInput for Linux

2009-02-12 Thread Quad

Hmmm... all I know is that ecasound is now compiled and installed on my
Mac. I just entered ./configure make sudo make install. There
my knowledge ends...

Isn't there a possibility to use your WaveInput plugin with OSX in a
same way like it is possible to use your AACplus plugin with OSX?
In other words: put something like WaveInputecasound.sh into the
plugin folder. This will point to the executable ecasound (processor
specific).

If yes: great!
If not: thanks for listening and good night!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Nominations for Recommended 3rd Party Plugins

2009-01-13 Thread Quad

These two plugins are essential for me. Without them I wouldn't have
bought my Duet. And I don't regret anything so far...

-CustomBrowse
-AACplus
