Thanks for the reminder - that was the key.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2018-06-26 Thread The Sam Lowry

I have a Squeezebox Classic. I've been using WeatherDateTime for years,
but it seems to have finally failed. I switched to SDT and like the
info, but would like to see the weather and date/time all at once when
my player is off. Similar to post #3600 in this thread.

Is this possible with my server installed on a Synology NAS?

Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.6 - 1452060463 @ Thu Jan 21 02:17:04

Hostname: SlubServer
Operating system: Synology DiskStation - EN - utf8
Platform Architecture: unknown
Perl Version: 5.24.0 - powerpc-linux
Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1)

Thanks!

isn't right. I think authentication requires not only a client-id but
also some client-secret which doesn't seem to be present in the sources.

Having the same issues - have my server installed on a Synology DS413.
I'd love to get this working.

The NPRRadio plugin just puts together playlists of WMA URLs. Since

blocked by security s/w. What security s/w are you using ?

Can you play WMA files on Softsqueeze ?
If yes, then can you play any WMA internet stream on Softsqueeze ?

If no, then collect a log with the log setting player.source set to

Hi- Thanks for your help. I unblocked the two apps mentioned above in
the Windows Firewall (that and Avast anti-virus - are my security). I
can't tell if that was effective as I came to the realization that some
of the NPR feeds work but most don't. Yes, I can play .wma files fine.
One that seems to work consistently for me is Day to Day. I can't
figure out what makes it any different than the other feeds. How do I
go about figuring out what's going on?

Thanks,

I don't know of anything like that, but you could use SaverSwicther (see
URL below) to make it easy to switch. Set up Date and Time as the 1st

and set WeatherTime as the second When Off saver with SaverSwitcher, as
a Manual (not timed) saver. When your Squeezebox is off, press the 1

 WeatherTime.

If you were comfortable with Perl, it should be pretty easy to do
something like modify FuzzyTime and WeatherTime to use SaverSwitcher's
public pre-usage check API so that they'd automatically use your
preferred schedule (and allow manual override, too).

Thanks a lot for your plugin. Works great. It's a fine substitute for
my idea. Makes the wife happy also. One question, is there a way to
make it automatically change the brightness of specific screensavers? I
know... I'm lazy. But, during the day, it'd be nice to have it bright
when I have it set to weather, and then I press whatever # to get it
back to the time and it dims back down for alarm clock mode - it's by
my bed y'know. I can already bet I'll forget frequently to change the
brightness level until I turn out the lights :) .

Thanks again,
SL
