Well, I tried this hack: Code: ip route add 193.182.8.0/21 via 192.168.19.1 193.182.8.0/21 is spotify's subnet 192.168.19.1 is my NAT router's IP I still get the address mismatch issue. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Broadcasting from SqueezeCenter - Commission?
What you could do is force all formats to be played through lame under file types, and change the transcoding options to force a non-vbr bitrate. You may want to look at the convert.conf config file. Take this entry for example: Code: wav mp3 * * [lame] --resample 44100 --silent -q $QUALITY$ --abr $BITRATE$ $FILE$ - You would want to change it to this: Code: wav mp3 * * [lame] --resample 44100 --silent -q 2 --cbr -b 128 $FILE$ - As long as your CPU can handle that quality rate at 128kbps, it will force-format the output to the correct bitrate. -- SuperQ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46262 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze not working from two machines at the same time.
It sounds like both copies of softsqueeze think they have the same player ID code. The ID code is not based on IP address, it's based on the ethernet address hard-coded in the computer. It's possible the address is read by softsqueeze and then stored as a setting instead of trying to read it every startup. When you cloned the settings, it probably copied the preferences file for softsqueeze in your user account. Yup, I found it: /Users/username/.java/.userPrefs/org/titmuss/softsqueeze/prefs.xml Delete this file on the laptop, and it should work again. -- SuperQ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44417 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Disabling IRBlaster for one Squeezebox
I guess you would have to request changes to the plugin from the author. It should be possible to add a checkbox to the code to allow disabling it in the player prefs. I gave up using IRBlaster for volume and use my harmony remote to control my stereo directly. I think it would be best for the volume up/down to not be a command stack, but simply a one-to-one translator for the volume commands. This is normal. When the IR blaster plugin is set to control the volume keys, it fixes the volume of the squeezebox and sends volume up/down codes your stereo instead of the output of the audio. The default is of course mid-way to prevent blowing up stereos. If you want it higher or lower based on the gain of your stereo, you can set it in the plugin file.. (would probably be a good patch to allow the setting via the web interface, would make the function more clear) If you look in IRBlaster/Plugin.pm: # # Global variables # my $gFixedVolume= 100; # Volume set (in SB2/3) if volup or voldown is used (max is 100) -- SuperQ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35316 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Yea, softsqueeze is known to not sync as well as the SB3 hardware. The perfect solution would require SlimDevices build an NTP-like network offset delay into their protocol to allow for sub-second syncing. Each device would have to run something like NTPd to sync up their clocks to a very high tolerance. -- SuperQ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35139 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Michael Herger;190238 Wrote: > > Energy consumption: Active >20 Watt/H; hibernated >1Watt/H > > I'm sure this should read <20W and <1W :-) > [color=blue] I agree, you're better off with either an Infrant, or a Mini/Nano ITX based board. Here is another option in the ~20W range: http://www.soekris.com/net5501.htm This board would be fine, but only works with Linux/BSD and not windows. Another good option is to use an older laptop. You can easily get something in the $200-300 range that will have USB2 for connecting an external disk. Most good laptops (like a Thinkpad T30 or similar) can be tuned to run at lower speeds, which can reduce their power usage to 15-20 watts. Especialy with the LCD turned off. It would require a minor ammount of tweaking to do things like not go into sleep mode with the lid closed, but that's easy. -- SuperQ SuperQ's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2139 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33920 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
