[SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.6 and removeplayedsong

2011-08-10 Thread Tartifless

Hello,
I really enjoyed the addin remove Played song, which allowed me along
with Spocefly sugarcube to leave random enable without repeating the
same song !

Now I have to enable random for my morning alarm playlist and disable
it when listening to music !

Is there a plan to update this plugin for 7.6 compatibility ?

Regards,
BenoƮt

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube Version 2.03 (Automatic MusicIP DJ) for 7.x

2011-07-28 Thread Tartifless

Actually a track was found and added in the server.log, without error,
but strangely not passed to the player...

Anyway I did the following:
- Deleting my m3lib musicIP file
- Uninstalled SBS 7.6.1 and deleted everything
- Regenerated my MUSICIP database (had the ID in tags, so it went
fast)
- Installed 7.6.1 from yesterday evening without plugins

Now I have all my music correctly displayed and mixable.

I installed sugarcube afterwards along with trackstat.

Only thing I lost in the process was my trackstat database, but that's
not a big issue...

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube Version 2.03 (Automatic MusicIP DJ) for 7.x

2011-07-27 Thread Tartifless

Hello,

I noticed something strange since I'm running 7.6.1 of SBS along with
3.50 of sugarcube.
My SBS scans my whole music directory + import musicIP mixable status
in 24 minutes (12 600 songs).
In MusicIP mixer and headless WebUI : I have 12600 songs mixable.

In SBS the scanner status says 12 600 songs when performing the MIP
import, but the issue is that afterwards, I have lots of songs without
the option to create a MusicIP mix. Moreover when I play one of those
songs Sugarcube will not queue another song, though it says it finds a
song in the server.log file !
This issue is quite strange.

What would be the steps to check in order to correct this ?

Regards,
Benoit

Hi, thanks, so there is no way of archiving the file analysis in the

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Moving to Customscan integration with MusicIP questions...

2011-07-04 Thread Tartifless

Hi,

Thanks for all this, so basically here is what I will do:
- SBS will be my basis for ratings for I will activate dynamic export
to MUSICIP
- MusicIP is ONLY used for audio fingerprinting and use of spicefly
sugarcube, so I will scan only mixable state (as I do today)

Now my next question:
Currently I do the following:
1) Tag music with Musicbrainz Picard
2) Analyze music with MIP headless
3) Import music in SBS

Would there be a way to do step 2 and 3 automatically ? (using GENPUID
for example or anything else)
My wish would be to have also the analysis archived in the file, for
the next time I'll update or change hardware.

Regards,
Benoit

Isn't there any possibility to launch MIP Mixer actions in command line
? So it would avoid having to open the GUI ?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Moving to Customscan integration with MusicIP questions...

2011-07-01 Thread Tartifless

Hello,
I have a setup based on SBS 7.5.5 and MusicIP headless working together
on a WHS 2011 box.

Now I would like to go deeper in integration by using trackstat and
customscan to integrate everything and make playlists based on
playcount/ratings, etc...

Currently I haven't managed any ratings so far.

My goal would be:
- Automatically setting up ratings based on the length of the file that
I listen to when playing a file (I understand Trackstat can do that)
- Exporting realtime those ratings in MusicIP so that a future rescan
will not erase them

What would be the requirements to do this, is my following idea right:
- Install trackstat
- Install customscan
- Configure trackstat to dynamically update ratings
- Configure customscan to dynamically copy ratings to MIP

My questions are also:
- What scan plugin do I have to activate in customscan ?
- What is the best way to update MusicIP information in SBS on a
scheduled basis (without erasing ratings) ? (basically I would like to
be able to have my music in SBS before MIP analyzis and update it later
with MIP fingerprint when it has been analyzed without deleting
trackstat info + ratings).

Thanks for your help,
Regards,
Benoit

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Moving to Customscan integration with MusicIP questions...

2011-07-01 Thread Tartifless

Thanks but that don't answer all of my questions regarding what I want
to achieve:

Let me proceed by steps, currently I do this:
1) Tagging files with MusicBrainz Picard
2) Move files to Music folder
3) Using MIP headless to analyse and validate tracks
4) Scan for changes in Squeezebox server

What I would like to do is automatize steps 3 and 4, would that be
correct:
3) Use GENPUID as scheduled task (this would also allow to archive
analysis)
4) Schedule library updates in SBS

My requirements and doubts:
- I would like removed folders to disappear from m3lib file (musicIP
database) and from SBS
- I need MIP analyses to be archived
- I would like in the future to use Squeezebox server as basis for song
ratings so the first part I'm trying to achieve here must be compliant
with this future need

Is my approach correct by using GenPUID scheduled task ?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube (Automatic MusicIP DJ)

2010-03-27 Thread Tartifless

Hello,

Since upgrabe to SBS 7.4.3 I have issue with sugarcube that isn't
working anymore:
[10-03-27 12:43:36.6368] Slim::Control::Request::notify (2108) Error:
Failed notify: Can't call method url on an undefined value at
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins/Plugins/SugarCube/Plugin.pm line
792.

My squeezebox is duet, sugarcube I tried 2.06 and 2.10, SBS is 7.4.3 on
WHS.

MIP mixes are working perfectly, I selected override shuffle option
if it can be useful...
