Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)

2022-12-14 Thread TimM

After opening up the suggested port, and ensuring that Norton wasn't
blocking the helper (which it wasn't) and a couple of restarts all is
good here. It may have been the port that was stopping it, or perhaps an
update to the pluging? I have no idea. However it is working again and
for that thank you.

This is a brilliant plugin that brings so much utility to the LMS
universe. I initially missed it, but now I've discovered it, it makes so
many little things easy, so thank you very much for all your hard work.

Best regards

Tim

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Itunes Update

2020-10-15 Thread TimM

I've recently had to move computers and I can't get itunes update
working on the new one.

Basically everything is the same as the old computer in terms of Perl
version, file location etc, so it tries to run, but I get this message

c:\itunesupdate>itunesupdate.pl "c:\itunesupdate\itunes_hist.txt"
usage: TrackStatiTunesUpdate.pl [loop
seconds]

I've also tried

c:\itunesupdate>TrackStatiTunesUpdate.pl
"c:\itunesupdate\itunes_hist.txt"
usage: TrackStatiTunesUpdate.pl [loop
seconds]

On the off chance that there is still one user of this plugin - does
anyone have any idea how to get this going again?

Pretty much the conclusion I'm coming to, reasonably happy at 7.4.2,
but would be interested to know if this happens on 7.5.1?

I've been having the buffering 2% thing intermittently as well. All

Somewhat annoying though as it's our alarm stream.

Hi

Just a quick question

Does anybody else find that SS 6.3 crashes after doing an import from
itunes? As far as I can see all the data/ratings/playcounts are
correctly imported, and until it crashes, everything looks normal.
Unfortunately I have no idea what is crashing SS at the end of the
import as the log screen also goes.

Import from itunes definately did not crash slimserver before and all I
have changed is the version of trackstat. Export to music IP still works
fine. In fact since 6.3 and trackstat 1.27 it possitively flies.

Brilliant, actually makes a lot of sense, a check of the offending
tracks seems to confirm that it is the & character, hence no Echo & The

Sorry Erland should have been a bit more clear, but I am getting a bit
out of my depth here.

1. Goto: http://localhost:10002/api/songs - This returns all songs in
MMM.
3. Enter the url below in the web brower and paste the copied path
after the =http://localhost:10002/api/getSong?song= - This does not
return any data for the missing tracks. It does insert %20 for spaces
etc. The URL's between this and the manual update appear to be the
same.

Manual update = http://tinyurl.com/s9gp6

Cut and paste from getsongs =
H:\flac\The Ruts\The Crack & Grean And Bear It\21 - Babylon's Burning
.flac
Trying path http://localhost:10002/api/getSong?song=H:\flac\The
Ruts\The Crack & Grean And Bear It\21 - Babylon's Burning .flac

Returns this
http://localhost:10002/api/getSong?song=H:\flac\The%20Ruts\The%20Crack%20&%20Grean%20And%20Bear%20It\21%20-%20Babylon's%20Burning%20.flac

So far I have checked that the paths in MMM are correct to the actual
location of the files. I have also deleted all songs from MMM and re
imported them, hopefully this is close to a slimserver full rescan.
I've also deleted the Slimserver library and done a full rescan. All
tracks in MMM show up in slimserver with the little MMM logo. They can
be played on SS from MMM using the send to button, and generate MMM
mixes from SS when the mix button is used. So I think MMM is 'seeing'
the suspect tracks.

Would it be something as simple as one returns Babylon's, and the other
returns Babylon%27s?

I'm using SS and trackstat to knock out stuff I've listened to recently
on the ipod, which needs the export function, I've got the import and
export to work with 1.6, but unfortunately noticed something odd in the
debug log. Until then I was blissfully unaware that not everything was
making it accross to MMM, goes to show, sometimes it's best not to
know..

Sorry, no luck with the missing tracks, but it does work for the ones
trackstat sees.

Yes, just tried that, and all tracks present and correct, in pretty
much the order that SS scans them.

Know what you mean about non ascii and MMM though, I wondered that at
first, but trackstat is happily updating most of my 'non ascii' stuff,
and the majority of the tracks it is missing are 'normal'

OK have tried the 2 local host tests, and both fail. To check I'm not
going mad I have got some of the tracks to play in the MM player, and
foobar. The file location is correct, indeed the trackstat plugin
'sees' the great majority of files that are in MM, it just seems to
have something against certain artists or albums.

Out of interest I have played one of the offending tracks through
Slimserver using mm's send to button, it played with no problem.

Somewhat confused.

Going back to import from MM, I've just tried with v1.6 and it works
fine, however 1.5 still won't play, but for the moment that's not a
problem. An issue I have found though is going the other way, exporting
to MM, where it returns the following for tracks.

weekend.

Would the version of MM affect how this works? At present I'm stuck on
1.5 rather than MusicIP 1.6. When I ask it to import from musicmagic it
does go away to find track, but eventually it only returns one track. I
can't move over to 1.6 until slim/musicIP sort out what is happening,
or not with unicode characters. If Trackstat does not work with MMM 1.5
this is not a problem, as eventually I will move fully on to 1.6. I just
want to know if it 'should' work.

Trackstat and Dynamic playlists are working fine now, as is itunes
import and export to musicmagic.

What can I say but thanks very much - worked first time.

As I said before, this plus your dynamic playlist plugin moves
slimserver into a whole new league, once again many thanks.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Trackstat won't start

2006-03-18 Thread TimM

OK, firstly, stumbled across the trackstat/dynamic playlists plugins and
got them working. All I can say is wow, the extra functionality these
bring to slimserver is great. I have only one problem, yesterday
Trackstat loaded fine, indeed suspiciously easy. Now, having changed
nothing, I can't see the plugin on the plugins page. I started with
1.11.1, which worked yesterday, and have tried 1.12, which I think
might have worked but the machine was rescanning. I'm currently on
6.2.1, will going to the latest 6.2 nightly help? (I'd rather not after
having problems with FW33), or have I done something stupid? The
trackstat plugin is in the plugin directory with its own folder.

Any hints or help would be greatly appreciated as these two plugins are
more than a match for itunes! (IMHO)
