These files were created by LMS by doing a search for a Genre or a type
of play list on either the LMS web interface or the Squeezer (the
Android LMS app I use). Once created, a few songs will play, then the
LMS locks up, and I can't access it either via the web interface or the
Squeezer app. I have to restart the container and either stop the Spotty
plugin, or delete the .m3u playlist file to get it to work again.

If I play a playlist or genre via the Spotify app, and play it on the
Squeezebox receiver, that works fine.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.1 kills LMS 8.1.1 (container)

2021-10-12 Thread amagalla

I was getting a TON of these entries:
[21-09-30 13:57:26.1402]
Slim::Formats::Playlists::Base::playlistEntryIsValid (125) Warning:
file:///music/spotify:/track:34Tq4vFc9aiShjelMTEfdO found in playlist:
file:///config/prefs/clientplaylist_00042007361b.m3u doesn't exist on
disk - skipping!

So it looks like when I use any LMS interface (either the web interface
or Squeezer) to select a Spotify play list, it creates the playlist on
the server, and looks for the song there. If I go into the console and
delete all the m3u files there, and restart, the LMS is useable again.
The only way I can get Spotify to work is to select the playlist from
the Spotify app, and have it play one the chosen LMS device of your
choice. This is annoying because now you have to use 2 apps, but it is
workable.

I just upgraded to LMS 8.2.1 and Spotty 6.4.2, and I get the same
result.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.1 kills LMS 8.1.1 (container)

2021-09-30 Thread amagalla

I have a container running LMS 8.1.1 and recently I tried enabling the
Spotty 6.4.1 plugin. As soon as I restart the LMS to enable the plugin,
it completely stops responding. I was able to wait it out once and get
my Spotify credentials entered, and even played a few songs. But now it
just locks up the LMS and nothing can connect to it. If I restart the
container, I have about a minute to get into the setting and disable the
Spotty plugin before the system locks again. Any ideas?

Thanks.
