Thanks for the tip. I changed over to a USB Ethernet adapter for my Lenovo laptop and it has fixed the issue. Thanks a lot. This has driven me crazy. However the chipset is likely different as the old laptop is about 7 years old whereas the new one is less than a year so chances that it's software related (e.g. Windows, others etc.) is high. There seems to be an issue with Squeezelite-X on Ethernet. I know this sounds strange but here's what I've done. - Main laptop - Ethernet: Squeezelite-X starts but behaves weirdly (see attached log) - Get the connection reset by peer errors and sometimes the client is able to reconnect, sometimes now. If not it changes to a default player and stops playing - Same (main laptop) - Wifi: Changed the connection to Wifi and Squeezelite-X runs without any issues - Main laptop - Ethernet: Issues appear again - So I went ahead and replaced my Ethernet switch (it's 10 years old). Main laptop on Ethernet has the same issues as in point 1 - Change back to Wifi - no issues - Second laptop - Ethernet (new switch): Issues - Second laptop - Wifi: Ok I like Squeezelite-X but use Ethernet due to work requirements. While one could argue that Squeezelite-X works I wonder what happened to this connection once on Ethernet +---+ |Filename: Squeezelite-X Error - changing stations.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37301| +---+ backball's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3671 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Denon AVP Control Plugin
I'm trying to start from ground zero and understand the functionality of the Denon AVP/AVR plug-in (using v4.3.2) and searching the forum didn't show anything obvious. Here's my setup: * 1x Squeezebox Receiver (A) connected to digital in (RCA) on a 4 zone Control4 matrix amp * 1x Squeezebox Receiver (B) connected to digital in (optical) on a Denon AVR-1713 * Denon AVR-1713 on the network via Ethernet * LMS 8.2.1 (running on Daphile) * Squeezer on Android to control the players * Enabled the Denon plug in on the AVR-1713 only and gave the AVR-1713 a static IP address as per the setup instructions I would like to synchronize receiver A onto the AVR-1713 but synchronization doesn't appear to work. Say I play an audio source on receiver A and want to play on receiver B via synchronization, the track on receiver A doesn't play on receiver B. Playing an audio source directly on receiver B works fine. Given the AVR-1713 appears as a player in Squeezer I would have thought I can synchronize it. Should I be able to sync any music playing on receiver A to the Denon Receiver (or vice versa for that matter)? If yes, what do you think could be wrong? backball's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3671 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!
Well I'm lost. Used the official Spotify plug-in for years on my VB2.2 (LMS 7.8) system. When they pulled the plug on this earlier in the year I went to Spotty as I've read only good things about it and given we listen to Spotify really a lot I needed a migration path. I kept having these buffering problems. First track plays without a problem then from the second track onwards it plays for say 5-7 sec and then buffers for 3-4 before doing it all over again. Was told Spotty needed VB2.3+ so I decided to upgrade to VB2.4 (Dell OptiPlex 790 with i5 processor, 4GB RAM). Going to the latest Spotty plug-in 1.9.4 with a brand new VB the exact same thing happens again; i.e. above buffering. I can stream from the VB box perfect Internet radio at any quality but just can't get Spotty to do the same. Could Spotty require much more bandwidth than the previous plug-ins? I'm on an ADSL connection giving me about 5MB/s but as said Internet radio, even KODI works ok. Any ideas?
